A curiosity about Boy with lov. In the verse where Jin sings "come be my teacher" we see in the choreography Suga pointing at Jhope and vice versa. They do this because Suga taught Jhope how to rap and Jhope taught Suga how to dance when they were trainees.
In music Dionysius each of the 7 members represented differente Greek Gos. Jin was Athena, Suga was Hephaesus or Hades, Hobi was Zeus, Rm was Dionysius, V was Apollo, Jimin was Artemis and Jung kook was Poseidon.
Dionysus was the guardian of those who did not feel part of conventional society.
Jimin's solo still gives me goosebumps.....he is gorgeous and angelic!❤

Since I found Them late in 2018, MAP OF THE SOUL 7 was my first comeback, and this was my first experience with Asian musical award shows. I was up at like 3 am in the States to watch it live. I had had a year to binge watch ALL their content and was DEEP into the BTS world. I was having the same reactions you did, starting with the "Look at them!!!" When they were on stage in the school uniforms. I had goosebumps the whole time. It was great to watch it again with you. I miss them so much.
🔆🍷”Dionysus” was the last song BTS performed, so all members performed solo pieces representing different g-d’s. In the actual song they sing, the lyrics, as always, are quite deep& meaningful! "In Hangul the Korean word for alcohol closely resembles the word for art!! So like BTS does so often, it's sort of a play on words, a metaphor, like filling themselves on art or getting drunk on art! Rejoicing reveling in the process of creating and being fully enmeshed in it!! We all know that Dionysus was the G-d of drink, pleasure, debauchery, as well as decadence, but indeed there is another more creative side like also fertility, birth which is also indeed a form of creating. I'm so happy you finally got around to watching this, Tammy! 💜 I don't get tired of rewatching the entire performance - it's sooooo good! I had no idea how much anxiety it would cause to purchase tickets for them before and I had a fraction of that when I tried to buy tickets for Yoongi's D-Day tour LOL I couldn't imagine how much more amplified that would be when it would be a BTS comeback. I'm just prepping myself (and my budget) so that I can make sure that I can afford to fly out to nearby countries if they wouldn't do a stop in mine. For Yoongi, I had to fly out for him and it was sooooo worth it!!! Imagine having two laptops, one tablet, and two phones for me, trying to get a good waiting number online so I could get into the website along with two other friends and my boyfriend on their own devices doing the same thing LOL We were on a video call while we were all doing this and I tell you, the amount of screaming we had to do in frustration that we couldn't get in fast enough or have our seats taken as we checkout was so nerve-wracking hahaha I suggest you prepare for this waaaaaaaay ahead of time on how much excitement your body can tolerate while purchasing online.... and practice clicking and typing fast! It's a speed game too 😂😂😂 (ohhhh, and the practice video and behind-the-scenes video for this MMA performance are a good watch too if you feel like it ☺)
This was a nice reaction to this performance. They're all great in their own way, of course, but Jungkook's vocals are always the most stable, as well as being impressive and expressive in the art of dance to go along with his overall performance. It's genuinely great, thank you for the reaction!

❣️This was from the annual Melon Music Awards, a Korean award show the equivalent to the Billboard Awards. BTS swept the awards, thus closed the award show, though many other artists did indeed perform beforehand. The cost of the production for BTS entertainment company BigHit, was over 500K dollars, and all the in-house production team of BigHit started planning it over half a yr beforehand! Also most of the rehearsal time that BTS had, was while they were touring worldwide. But they all were quite into doing this, and somehow managed to fit in the rehearsal like they did the yr before.
The only one who performed live only, without benefit of VCR being shown, for the broadcasted version, was Jimin, who shows here being the phenomenal, outstanding, ever so breathtakingly amazing professional dancer he is, which he was even before joining BTS. His performance was beyond mesmerizing, so poised & elegant of a dancer. With the exception of Jimin, all the other solo performances were prerecorded live, with smaller audience the day before, since there was no way to have these stage sets and tank pool of water let alone have JK who was performing the dance in water get dried and change clothes beforehand!
Although, all the members performed a live version of their solo dance, for the live audience, while the VCR was playing the prerecorded version that the broadcast, & or online audience saw. Also certain songs like Mikrokosmos were performed live beforehand, as well, so they could also allow for the special effects that only people who saw the broadcast on TV in South Korea or had it stream worldwide could see that version. Also the part with the live horses was filmed beforehand without an audience.
Thanks for your reaction. If you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend the Guide to BTS Members; The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. That growl in V’s voice always gets me, too. It’s a very visceral sound. This is absolutely the best performance of Mikrokosmos ever. It’s so visually stunning. And Dionysus- I mean, horses…come on! The theatricality is just incredible. Reason for this show cause BTS was planning to go into the military in 2020 but covert happened in a way was ok cause we wouldn't got the English songs and the world explosion that is BTS

This whole award show was a BTS concert. I believe this is one of the nights they won all four grand prizes. Someone can correct me. They’re really true performers. I always laugh every time you say you’re hot and there’s a giant ass fan behind you 😭😂❤️ one thing I wished they toned down was the lights during Dionysus dance break. For me it kind of takes away from the choreography but I understand why it was chosen.

And all army who saw them say they more beautiful than the footage. 0.0. Like how? MMA is one of the Korean award shows yes. TXT members were shown watching BTS. =0p Soobin the leader and Yeonjun the main dancer of the group. The other band that was shown i am not familiar with. My memory is not that good. 😅This was so fun. They make us smile all the time thus, we love them. Jimin is my ult bias followed by Suga my wrecker, OT7. Jimin is the contemporary dancer in Black Swan that is his song as army likes to say. He slayed that and i think the 2020 MMA is were they do an all new Black Swan performance. Hope eventually u will watch that too. BTS love each other they family. They adore performing. Pls cover logo when u react it's really important. This is my fav Mikrokosmos stage. I love it so much!!! BTS really outdo themselves year to year. I think u can do it Tammy. Many army with severe anxiety have traveled to see the boys for the 1st time. They have a live band at the back of the stage on most of these award shows... the rhythm section is always crazy good... the bass player is epic.... In case nobody has mentioned the hand signal... there's a few explanations of it... their name translates to Bullet proof Boyscouts so some say it's a gun.. others say it's a 7... Also fun fact... in the video when they were sleeping, Tae (V) actually fell asleep really... they just left him for a minute until he woke up.

the hand sign depends on how they hold their hands, I think.. when fingers are pointed upwards, it's a 'bang' (gun), when pointed down it's shaped like a 7, denoting 7 members in the group. Sometimes, they do both in one go, so bang (up), then down 7 = Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS for short. V, in particular has (in the past) been very vocal about the group being 7 members 'so show your love for all of us.'

Some context we all learned recently! Yes, BTS have spectacular stages at award shows, but this was especially massive, it was supposed to be almost a send off? They released their album Map of the Soul 7 following this in early 2020, and were supposed to go on a global stadium tour following its release. Unfortunately, the pandemic cancelled it.
What we learned recently is the break they're currently on for their military service, they planned to start that following their 2020 tour, not now.
Instead, the pandemic happened, the tour was cancelled, and BTS stayed 2 more years with us to try to make us happy during the pandemic, and they continued to give us music and performances.
But that's why this stage is especially massive, it was supposed to be a send off in a way, which we only learned during Festa when they talked about how they were supposed to take a break in 2020 🥺💜

I am excited to see it. He is the 3rd rapper and the main dancer of the group. He just came out with his 1st solo album. Hope u check his song More and Arson out as well as the Jack in the Box album. ❣️Jimin’s solo performance, wearing a modernized hanbok just fastened by ties only, had many different dance elements in it! Including the barrel leaps taken from Korean dance elements, some martial arts elements, (trained for 8 yrs in various forms w/blackbelt in Taekwondo), & of course contemporary dance. Also, equally ever so stunningly outstanding, was Jimin's scarf work, which is alone so hard to master, without getting that ever so thin veil of a scarf all tangled! Jimin somehow was able to make the scarf one with himself, using it as an extension, even at one point when he did that amazing jump leap straight up the scarf becoming his wings!! Jimin's whole performance was so amazingly stunningly beautiful. Just so effortlessly breathtakingly mesmerizing to see!! 👍🙏❤️🔥🐥😇🥰✨💫
Jimin was the only one who didn’t have the benefit of prerecorded VCR, which meant that for his solo performance by the broadcasted version, viewers saw Jimin perform live only. While the broadcast version showed for rest of members the prerecorded version. Though the other members did a version of their solo performances for benefit of the live audiences, for the broadcast version as seen here, viewer see the prerecorded version, that was prerecorded the day before, since especially JK’s performance in water with that heavy tank that weighed a ton wouldn’t be able to maneuver for live audience, as well as some of the other effects seen like for Mikrokosmos, also the part with the horses was obviously prerecorded as a safeguard for the horses. It also gave a chance for BTS come up for air as well as give them time to change. Jimin was the only one who didn’t have the benefit of prerecorded VCR, which meant that for his solo performance by the broadcasted version, viewers saw Jimin perform live only. While the broadcast version showed for rest of members the prerecorded version. But once again the live audience did get an opportunity to see BTS members do a version of their solos 👍❤️🔥🔥😍✨💫
