@@PossessedByMetal666 ellefson? Is that you? 🤣👊 the melody sounded similar but wasn't the same at all now the lyrics did kinda match up with good mourning/black Friday.
I literally just listened to this five minutes ago and thought, "I wonder if Jason's gonna do a video?" and here it is! I fully agree, it does sound like Black Friday.
Hard to disagree with your thoughts on this - definite So Far vibes in the intro and the Black Friday parts are so similar it's surely deliberate..but either way it somehow still sounds fresh and I'm looking forward to a strong album based on this.
@@PossessedByMetal666 because I find the music underrated. Daniel Graves, (the main person behind AP), has got such a brilliant voice and for Gods & Gold, it features Richard from Rammstein on guitar
Funny thing is I never liked Mustaine, ever. But this song is great. I hear even some Death in there. 🤪 So this might be the first Megadeth album I’ll own.
@@PossessedByMetal666 Sure thing. Pretty sad story actually.... Arizona is a very strange state. I think Dave was living there at the time of the execution. He has since moved to Nashville, Tennessee.
Hey there Mendez! Thanks - I'm glad it's not just me hearing this. :) Funny that at that point Mustaine stopped playing Black Friday altogether and now he seems to be paying tribute to it. :)
@@PossessedByMetal666 yes indeed,I instantly recognised the verses very similar to black Friday.....I think you gotta be old school to get this,it's gotta be done on purpose,it's that similar
@@spakoerz Yes. And I can't help wondering why! Quite strange, isn't it. Maybe Mustaine wants to make the point that all the slaughter these days is happening on the battlefields of war.
I'm the same a good catchy riff. Solos or lead lines I like if catchy - not a fan of guitar wank when the guitarist decides to hit every note on the guitar with over the top techniques which sounds like a 5 year old has just picked up a guitar for the first time 🤣🤣🤣.
Hi Mark! Funnily enough, I do actually like a few guitar hero type solo artists. I like Yngwie Malmsteen, for instance! But when it comes to thrash metal, what I want is riffs all the way. Still, there is one really nice guitar solo on We'll Be Back, at least!
@@PossessedByMetal666 lol I do like a good solo but when they just over do it or kills it flat. I've never been a fan of those guitar hero type solos if short and catchy then fine but if they rumble on like Iron Maiden and sound identical my ears switch off lol. I never got into Thrash metal - I went from KISS to Norwegian Black Metal 🤣🤣 a big jump on the extreme metal umbrella. Although I did buy Metallica "Load" album when it came out (I had a friend who was a real Thrash Metal head and he actually enjoyed Load - which is funny many seem to dislike.... I still listen to that album and enjoy it). I mean talking of solos one of my fav solos is Mayhem's Freezing Moon Solo - simple with some technique and fits perfectly with the songs atmospheric nature. Of course who also cannot appreciate a solo by Slash or Mick Mars 👍 I enjoy your reviews as there is also some Band History and comparisons with other bands or songs. I always find this interesting even if it's not a style of metal I like it's the knowledge and history of the bands.
Blocked the vid eh? That's a bit of a dick move by the record company big nobs me thinks. I'll have to check it out elsewhere. I think the title is a bit naff, what do you think? For some reason I kept staring at your stereo, hifi separates? Interested in your set up, am I weird? Haha
Yeah, it's very short sighted of them. I put a link to Megadeth's We'll Be Back video in the video description above, in case that might prove handy! Must admit, I like the title. 🤔🤔 Ha - not weird at all! It's a Technics stereo. The same model I had as a kid. Sadly, both sides of the tape deck are playing up and have started trying to eat tapes. 🙄

Cheers! Love the channel. Truly, big bands need to start letting us folks promote their stuff without blocking it. It's just silly.
Hey there! Thank you. And yes, I can only agree. 👊🤠🤟
Of course it does majority of bands use their signature melodies/riffs in a lot of their music, and that's what makes them unique
Dave? Is that you? 🤣👊 It's rare for a melody and the rhythm of the words to be repeated like this.
@@PossessedByMetal666 ellefson? Is that you? 🤣👊 the melody sounded similar but wasn't the same at all now the lyrics did kinda match up with good mourning/black Friday.
Killer song!...especially when it breaks into Disposable Heroes at the 3:30 mark. 😁
Glad you like it, Mikey! And I guess I can see the broad comparison with Disposable Heroes. 😄 It's not the same riff, though. 🤔😊👊🤟
Totally different riff but close

Hooray, thanks Marc! Not just me, then. :) Thanks as always for turning up to my channels to lend support!
A return to form for Dave Must - Stay - In and Megadeth, a Speed metal classic and I love the downpicking in the drowning sequence of the video clip!
Glad you're liking these apples, Lord Russell! 🍎 🍎 🍏

Hey there! So am I. Can't wait to hear the rest.
If you wish to react to a song you might not have heard of, I would say Aesthetic Perfection with Gods and Gold!
Hey there Raz! Interesting. And why would you recommend that song? 🤔 😊🤟

Also clock highlights 44 - “44 minutes”
Ah, well spotted! :)
They could have got a 13:20 and 00:13 in there to.. But that might have been a little to on the nose.
Mine was bullet to the brain. Then poisonous shadows..
Thanks Jose - good to hear your preference!
Favorite song on Dystopia was The title track.
Hey there Michael! Yes indeed, that is a very good song.
Poisonous Shadows is one of the best Megadeth songs ever
Yeah! Perfect combination of heaviness and a killer chorus. 😊👊🤟

That is interesting! Will be interesting to see how the rest of the album is.
Too many solos!?. Whoa!! 😳 i am going to kindly disagree with you my good sir.
Hey there Jose! Hehe. I totally get that. When you love solos, I guess it's a case of more the merrier! 😄 🎸
My favorite from dystopia is Fatal Illusion.I believe fatal illusuon was inspired by a botched execution performed in Arizona
Aha, thanks for telling me both of these things! Interesting. Next time I spin the album I will look out for Fatal Illusion!
