I have finally found a book that has gotten me out of my reading slump of well over a year... it's a great feeling to enjoy reading again! I have been reading consistently the whole time (half by habit, half inspired by you showing your joy from reading), but it's sooooo nice to actually look forward to getting lost in a book again! Feels like a part of my soul has finally returned to me 🥲
So interesting! I wish I could read 2-3 books per week! Personally, a shorter book takes me about a week to read and a long book can take me 2-3 weeks to finish, even over a month. The thing is that I'm so easily distracted. I can only read for 2+ hours straight IF I'm comfy in a well lit place with my noise cancelling headphones, listening to ambience music and with my Forest timer to keep me accountable! 😅🥲
I feel you! I feel like I get through a book pretty slow. I've been using forest too recently and it's been sooo good for my reading. I don't feel the need to pick up my phone after every chapter anymore
@@jaimefok It's an app called Forest. It's basically a timer/stopwatch to help with productivity. It can be used for the pomodoro technique (example: 25 minutes non stop focus, 5 minutes break). It can also prevent you from opening other apps for less distraction. Every time you finish a timer, a plant grows in your forest. But if fail, the plant dies! 🤣
I just finished Just For The Summer a couple days ago and absolutely loved it! That was the first Abby Jimenez book I’ve read and it made me really excited to read more of hers!
Sending love and my gratitude for the honest vibes. I get "those days" a lot 🤣 Normally a walk or movement helps my headspace so much! My favorite reading time is evening or bedtime XD. Mostly because my kiddo is down and I can finally "chill" after work. Happy Monday!
I feel like whenever I'm in a weird mood either I need a comfort book and to forget about the real world desperately, or I just have zero motivation to read whatsoever... hope you're feeling better now! Heheh seeing you sneak in extra minutes of reading throughout the day reminds me of how I'd spend the 5 min breaks between classes reading in school because I wanted so much to know what was going to happen next! Reading in bed before sleep has to be my favourite time to spend with books, just gives cosy vibes and feels comforting for me :) Looking forward to the next video and I hope you have a great week!
I always have both an audiobook and an ebook/physical book that I'm in the middle of. I read/listen to my audiobook during my morning run, while I'm getting ready, in the car, cleaning house, etc. and then typically read my ebook/physical book for an hour or two in the evening. :) Enjoy your videos!
@@jaimefok Hi Jaime! It's actually two different books that I'm reading at the same time. Surprisingly, it works really well and I don't have any issues keeping up with the two different stories and the characters in each. Love your channel!
I admire you so much, you are amazing and so dedicated to whatever you do. 9-5 job is no joke, we never get free after 5 😅 sometimes we work overtime 😢 Have a great week ❤
I love reading in the late afternoon early evening But most of the time really find the time right before bed. Also, just finished Divine Rivals. So so good. Can’t wait to read the sequel. So glad you recommended it.
I can’t wait for the AJ book! Sounds so good! Also, your cat with the two different eye colors is so cute. I loved the Doerr book! I watched the first episode but need to rewatch it as I fell asleep lol. Not because it was boring, I just was really tired. 😂
I mostly read at night from when my daughter goes to bed until it’s time to go to sleep. If i read during the day, say on the weekend, it’s typically going to be non-fiction since I’m frequently interrupted
My favorite time to read gotta be... shortly after I wake up when I'm still in bed, shortly before bed and randomly in the afternoon when the sun is up and it's nice and warm so I can read outside!!
If you want to read a book that has you blurring the lines between what’s right and wrong like the one you were reading, saving Noah will do it. I’d check the trigger warnings, but I just finished it on Friday and it had me sobbing.
Omg, there’s a new video!!! I love your videos sooo much. They are so fun to watch. You inspired me to start my own channel and I am soooo grateful!!! ❤❤❤
Interesting video and what a great idea.. Makes me wonder how much time I read as well. 🤭🤭 I do enjoy reading during my lunch break to recharge. But most time spend will be before bed.
To save you from doing math😅: you can press on that Loc in your kindle, there are different options for tracking where you are in the book. I have a very old kindle but it has this feature. ❤
I'm currently reading the prisoner's throne, I have 20% left of it and I understand what you said about the book but for me it came more in the sense that I wasn't sure what we were waiting for ? Where the story was going ? But also I got pretty surprised by the usual holly black twist so I think that's why. In the first volume it was very easy for me to see how the book was going to end so I was expecting and excited for it whereas a lot of this book I'm like oak, no idea what's going on and how we're gonna fix things 🤣
Hey! Thank you for this video. I recently started reading books after so long thanks to you ❤ can you share your good reads account. I would like to follow you there as well and add your fav books to my tbr🎉 can’t wait for the new video!

It’s still incredible how much reading time you are able to squeeze in!
it keeps me sane tbh haha!

What is a forest timer?? Sounds intriguing 👀

@@serenity8910 I love that omg 😂
I get so distracted easily as well… might be a problem. I’ll look into that forest app!!

I love this idea! Is it difficult to find your place in the book when you switch back and forth?

Love the concept of this video! It kind of reminds me of "What I eat in a week" / "a week of workouts" type videos, but for reading! Very cool!😄🤍📖
Glad you like it!

There's a Netflix show based on all the light we cannot see btw. I really loved the book

I can switch to pages when I read most books, but ARCs don’t come with page counts because they are formatted differently!
I need to fit in more reading time during my 9-5...its not easy LOL
Definitely works better some days vs others!

Will definitely be checking out the series now that I’ve read it!
What is 9-5 girlie? English is not my first language, and sometimes i dont understand the titles loll
Hi hi! It’s just someone who works a full time job :)

I wish I could read quickly 😅 Always been an avid reader since I was young so I don’t know.

Read The Lost Bookshop, I'd like to hear your opinion on it
It’s already on my Goodreads tbr! ❤️
Just realised you said you finished part of your world when referring to just for the summer haha same author just different author
