I had no idea she'd been through such dire hardship after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage and stroke in 2001. A broken marriage where she lost custody of her son, lost all her money due to mounting expenses. How she's still working is a miracle. She has always struck me as being a real fighter all her life

Charlize Theron is amazing in her own right. And, I believe, a better actress than Sharon Stone in the sense of deeper, more nuanced. Sharon hasn't been believable in all emotions in all of her movies. I love her though.
It's not fair to say that someone else's career should have been Stone's. Both actresses are great in portraying femme fatale. Stone had her challenges but she had many movies in her heyday and still gets roles today.
