One of my favorite metal tracks. I remember asking Hellhammer about the intro groove once after Mayhem played here in Dublin in the 2000s. I asked him if they were triggered ghost notes on the snare and he said yes. Listening to it it's hard to tell - it does sound like it could just have been sequenced (maybe he was just humoring me), but given his skill level and how precise he is with push/pull I could well imagine him pulling it off. Phenomenal album, and a great cover by yourself ;)
Great job mate! I was lucky enough to be guest vocalist when on tour years ago with the Adelaide band Art in Exile and played this song (it's on TH-cam if you are interested in watching it). Such a rocking tune! And the drums, like anything of Jan's, is so complex and mesmerising.

@@cepa9 Cool - I'm also left handed :) Yeah, Norway has a lot of great metalbands, such as Arcturus, Borknagar, Fleshkiller, Extol and Lengsel for example. Sweden has great bands too, in my opinion.
