Rag Madhuvanti is also known as Rag Ambika,which was created by Late Vamanrao Padhye bau.He was disciple of Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar.He was also the Guru of famous marathi singer and composer Late Shri Sudhir Phadke,popularly known as Babuji in Maharashtra.Smt. Veena Sahastrbuddhe has rendered this Rag very beautifully.

Thank you so much for the video. But kindly clear a small confusion, Is Ambika (both nishad) an older version of Madhuvanti that evolved over time, now sung with shuddh nishad ? Or is Ambika just another name for Madhuwanti which has the same scale and is sung via two versions, one with shuddh nishad and one with both nishads ?

Hi, thank you very much for your sincere query. I think the answer has been provided upfront by none other than Smt. Veenatai herself in her introduction to the Raga in 25 seconds, specifically from ~01:45 to ~02:10 minutes into the clip.
Also, if you're keen have a look at Rajan Parrikar's music archives. Search for keywords "Short Takes: Multani" on google and visit the specific page titled "Short Takes: Multani" and once on the page scroll down to get the description titled "Raga Madhuvanti/Ambika". In this valuable resource there's also a ~01:47 minute audio clip in which Rajan Parrikar's guru Pandit Ramashreya Jha Sir outlines the raga swaroopa of Madhuvanti / Ambika.
With these resources, it would quell any confusion.
But if still in doubt, please let me know.

Smt. Veenatai was trained by her father and later by her brother, who, both, belonged to the Gwalior Gharana.
Veenatai, in response to a question, said that later in her life, she briefly learned from none other than Smt. Kishori Amonkar.
So arguably, she was also trained in the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana.
