In reality, Rie had given a false PIN number, so the criminals were unable to take a penny from Rie's account. The 60,000 yen they stole was cash that Rie had in her possession at the time. It's actually a widely held misconception that Junko rejected him, if you read the court documents they already had a history of assaulting women and she was just a stranger passing by. It was just chance. Adds to the horror even more.
Not only that, there is a lot of wrong information about her. One of the many false rumors is that even though she was on the verge of death, she showed her indomitable spirit and defeated her assailant at mahjong. By the way, I think there is no doubt that Junko did not know about the perpetrators before the incident. However, I don't think it's clear whether the perpetrators didn't know about Junko before the incident. On the day of the incident, Miyano told Ogura over the phone from the hotel, ``I caught the woman I was targeting and had sex with her.'' However, it is not clear from this statement alone when Miyano began targeting Junko. However, given the context, it can also be taken as if Miyano knew about Junko even before the incident occurred. So, this is just my opinion, but I think it's possible that someone among the perpetrators had unilateral knowledge of Junko before the incident.
@@estherramsay445Yes, Junko did not play mahjong with the perpetrators. In the morning of Junko's last day, Miyano, the main culprit in this case, came home after losing about 100,000 yen in a game of mahjong at a gambling parlor. So, the truth of this rumor is that Miyano beat Junko violently to vent his frustration over losing at mahjong. The mothers words are gut wrenching, you can see in her eyes how she feels. She didn't have any chance to help her daughter, she didn't have any warning signs that this could happen to her child. She didn't have any say or power in this whole situation and having to hear that your child is gone simply because she crossed paths with the wrong people by chance must be devastating. Many people are against the death sentence, but in such a situation I feel like it's the only thing that would give me some peace.
From what I know about Junko's case, one of the suspects created a Twitter/X account that is still active to this day. I cannot remember the user at, but it's still active. He goes on--talking about repenting for his sins and defending his actions. Tbh, I really wish they would null the death sentence age in Japan. Or at least, change the circumstances. These crimes are so horrid to listen about. However, I believe the victims stories need to be heard, so I listen to these cases, no matter how horrible the crimes committed. I hope their souls are at peace, I truly do.
It’s so heartbreaking what happened with Isogai look it’s devastating she didn’t get the justice she deserved especially with then trio not getting the death sentence but I’m truly so glad they are gonna be in jail for the rest of their lives, and I remember watching Junkos case and feeling absolutely devastated that her k1llers are still out there thriving :(
6:37 I think it stems from him being a coward (fleeing before his team etc) and suddenly feel powerful that the victim who was most probably very scared was very compliant. So he tried to push his luck.

The mother's words broke me into tears , that is absolutely terrible and I feel so awful for her and her daughter . The mother is such a sweet and strong woman for being able to stand up and fight for her daughter and continue helping others afterwards. I believe in life after death and god I hope from the bottom of my heart for her to be reunited with her daughter in heaven. As long as you have proof that they were saying bad stuff about you, you win.
@@UsonoHoushiIt's not as simple as you think. Just because someone says something bad about you doesn't necessarily mean you'll win in a defamation case.
@UsonoHoushi then perhaps, if the victim were to counter sue the defamation for the pain caused.
I’m sorry WHAT??? Junko’s killers are still out there? They should be rotting in jail why are they walking free?
Yup. most of them just changed their names. And are basically living normal lives.
But base on someone who checked on them. Apparently one of the ass hats is still proud of what he did, and brags about it in social media. How that particular jack ass wasn't arrested again, considering he's clearly ready to do it again with all the shit posting, is BEYOND me.
They were young at the time of their crimes and Japan's legal system is a bit fucked up
Its one of the reasons i wont be moving to japan even tough i like other parts of the culture. I dislike how crime against women is not treated fairly
Yeah as a Japanese, I can say it's horrific if you randomly walking from work in the night, and knowing many monster out there that can kill you or you family anytime... it's very terrible nightmare that's no ones want to. So I move out from japan, consider what would happen if it's happening to my little sister... it would be my scariest nightmare that even I can't imagine. May her souls rest in peace....
I think one of them has an active account on twt actually
I just want to hug Isogai's mother, she is such a strong woman. I hope Isogai is resting easy, and that she's at peace now.. Sucks the two only get life in prison. I feel death penalty should've definitely been dealt, but I know laws are different per country.. thank you for sharing this story. I've been enjoying your true crime videos for a while now, Aki.
The mother’s words were absolutely heartbreaking. When u get a child of your own, the world gets so much more horrid
What a sad and maddening story. A life taken and for what?
My heart break for Rie and her mother
My condolences to her mom i cant imagine what that would have felt like
I worked with a woman whose daughter was killed by people she considered her friends. It's not a pain someone gets over, and it's not something I wish on anyone. She told me a little here and there, but I didn't want to pry. I just can't understand what possesses people to take someone's life on a whim.
With what I know about Japanese culture, I think the parents signed the petition for the death sentence not only bc they felt their sons deserved it, but bc they felt their sons brought so much shame & dishonor upon the family that their death would make it easier to minimize the damage done to their family.
My mom grew up in Japan and knew junko, since my mom was a few years younger Then junko, she was like a mom/older sister to my mom since my didn’t have the best Mom (not abusive but like she didn’t care what she did) and my mom has so many pictures of her with junko, the last picture my mom has with junko is of my Mom and junko, and they are sitting on junko’s bed together and watching junko’s favorite tv show and the picture was taken by junko’s mom. I can’t even look at pictures of junko and my mom together without thinking about what happened to junko
Wow junko death probably made your mom sad
Will you kvnts sh*t the actual fvck UP about that dog smh
fr? how old is your mom now? sorry im just curious and its very shocking to know someone knew her
@@sapphiresqph she’s somewhere around her 50’s,I don’t exactly remember lol, she was born in 1974
Can you like... share those photos on social medias after blurring your mother's face ?
I actually just finished the video and I am in tears, people can be so cruel to the innocent people in this world💔
What has to be understood is that such behavior patterns are almost always predatory by nature.
This was heartbreaking beyond words. Respect to you Akidearest for ending your story in the fashion you did, giving the mother the last word. My heart breaks for her. May she find peace some day.
That is absolutely heartbreaking. Thank you for telling her story.
Junko case was really disturbing and terrifying also traumatic at same time because the brutal they did to her is still creeps the japan not just japan but whole world was in full creep out or disturb, terrified, trauma in that case
hearing her mother made me really tear up like crazy.
... These guys are totally nuts.
Also, enjoying the true crime videos you're doing.
I feel so bad thos case just shows that sometimes there is just no humanity in people out there😢
Beautiful choice in how you ended the video Aki! I'm a mother of 2 adults. I can't imagine how much strength this woman has!
I remember when I heard about this story a few years ago from another channel and how it stuck with me...I cant even watch this video. I still think about it sporadically. Back then it got me so naseous hearing the details and so angry that there are people capable of doing this AND get away with it(??) that I couldn't think about anything else for a few days.. Anyways...one of the most disturbing stories I can think of :(
Covered this sad story very well and with respect. Aki's awesome
Yay detective aki!!!
..Aki is sooo much better than Detective Pikatchu..
Been waiting for thisss
I hope their souls are at peace, I truly do.
her mothers words at the end brought tears to my eyes. how harrowing and heartbreaking to have lost your child and she's being so strong.
It’s so heartbreaking what happened with Isogai look it’s devastating she didn’t get the justice she deserved especially with then trio not getting the death sentence but I’m truly so glad they are gonna be in jail for the rest of their lives, and I remember watching Junkos case and feeling absolutely devastated that her k1llers are still out there thriving :(
This is heart breaking, the fact that the mother tries to live her best life for her daughter in heaven it's just so deep...
yay new aki video, thank you aki so much for todays video. and poor girl, she didn´t deserve that. those men are monsters
Being 1 minute feels like dark web
6:37 I think it stems from him being a coward (fleeing before his team etc) and suddenly feel powerful that the victim who was most probably very scared was very compliant. So he tried to push his luck.
The story that Junko rejected the culprit is a lie. I'm surprised that Aki is still saying things like this. Junko's case seems to be getting out of control as many unfounded rumors are being spread that are not based on sources.
So how did it happen?
sorry. I'm not sure what you're asking me about.
@@roroshiro-ht3yr I’m asking how the main culprit knows about Junko if she doesn’t reject him, to clarify
@@estherramsay445That day they were wandering the streets looking for prey to repe and snatch. Junko unfortunately happened to cross in front of them and caught their eye.
@@estherramsay445 honestly it’s just best to look up the case, or go to another TH-cam video about it.
thank you aki for blessing us with a crime video, I love when you upload these!!!!!!
This one hit hard as last Friday there was a homicide in my country. It's been big news since the suspect is 18 and the victim was 15. And unfortunately, that 4-letter word also was mentioned.
Uhh this is absolutely nothing compared to the junko case where the child was tortured for a month before death. Shocked nobodies tried to eliminate the Junko killers. They're psychos beyond belief.
One of them has a twitter account and the other has a daughter roughly around the same age as Junko.
@@estherramsay445 that's impossible. They were all minors while committing the crime and that's why they got off. Don't spread nonsense.
@@snagboi I’m talking now. Literally one of the bastards has a twitter account(I saw it for myself) and the other has a daughter now. I’m not talking then.
@@estherramsay445 oh okay.
I don't usually comment but damn , this one really got me I've cried... I just want to give a big warm hug to her mother 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Her mother is incredibly sweet and you can tell she has a very elegant and strong resolve in her even admidst her heartbreak.
I pray that she will get all her wishes granted. She and her family didn't deserve these monstrous circumstances.
Exited to watch this :>
YAYA new video by Aki >:]
Love it when Aki does crime/horror related content
i respect her mom so much, she is so strong. this was an absolute tragedy, but im sure that while Isogai was still alive, they were both blessings in eachother's lives. This is the strength that true love holds.
i'm absolutely PISSED about junko's murderers sliding away with that case, it feels like the law is treating them like they're valued. justice is not served in this era.
Love the video Aki keep up the awesome work and videos
Capital punishment works, because a deceased offender is never a repeat offender.
But if people are keenly aware of the possibility they will get it, and can avoid it via confession, it works even better.
The one thing that could've made this case worse, is if it went unsolved.

31 seconds ago... I GOTTA GO MAKE MY POPCORN AND SIT DOWN FOR THIS IM A BIT TOO EARLY...
The mother at the end has me crying. I feel so sorry for her..
Jeeeeeez I love some true crime!
Also that Gengar hat goes toooo hard
PLS WE NEED ANOTHER ONE, DETECTIVE AKI SAMA!!
The mother’s sadness is still so strong 15 years later, no mother should ever have to feel the heartbreak of losing a child.
How those killers from the 80s case are still around… is beyond me.
I’m surprised they haven’t been attacked by someone yet.
One of them has a Twitter account
Thank you for how you covered this case.
This is absolutely heartbreaking.
I can't even imagine why would a human being do that to such an innocent soul😢
The mother's words broke me into tears , that is absolutely terrible and I feel so awful for her and her daughter . The mother is such a sweet and strong woman for being able to stand up and fight for her daughter and continue helping others afterwards.
I believe in life after death and god I hope from the bottom of my heart for her to be reunited with her daughter in heaven. And that is a very relieving thought to have , for it won't end here and just coming back home hoping to see your beloved one only to be met with not ever being able to meet them ever again , that would be so excruciatingly painful. God rest her soul.
Love the video. Beautifully done
I love these videos but the music is a bit distracting for me tbh! I'll still watch just wanted to share the feedback
Everytime she came up on screen I almost cried and screamed "SHE LOOKED SO SWEET"
Junko’s murderers still being out there is a crime in of itself
One of them has a twitter
@@estherramsay445it's no longer up. Either he deleted it due to ppl telling him to take his own life for what he did to junko or it was terminated. But while it was up he did complain about lack of sleep.
@@Ch40s_Ensu3s I think saw something like that about him complaining about lack of sleep before but eh, good riddance
Moral of the story if you are going to be garbage be garbage no reason to snitch on yourself
This reminded me that one case that happens in Indonesia. A girl who named Vina. Almost the same as Junko and Rie
I've seen this before 3 incompetent killers
I like her hat. Gengar my fave. Also i knew about this. But wanted to watch because i love aki channel.
YAY! Detective Aki✨☺️
The mom made my cry 🥺
No one will probably care but I'm going to go homeless soon but I love your videos beyond anything
I care, and im sorry you're going through that, but I care I will pray for u 😢😢
...are you being forced to leave Crimea before the Ukrainians retake it ??..
If not, I am heartfeltingly sorry for your situation and the predicament(s) leading t this unwanted potential playingout that way. Best of luck finding or being given some avenue of solving some of the involved stuff, to stop homelessness becoming a reality.
I wish you all the best of luck and fortitude in struggling through this, without recourse to seemingly hollow prayers of ignorance.
ok
Amazing disturbing video akidearest fantastic job.
Crazy that these things are also happening right now to Palestinian women being raped and their jewelers stolen
Ps : my 3 friends have been murdered and this is exactly what happened to them I wish that a TH-camr that I used to follow since I was 15 talked about what’s happening , I’m disappointed
A lot …
Detective Aki is back😍
Wow that's messed up I can't believe they did that : (
One of the biggest issue with death penalty is that it isn't lowering crime rate, especially if culprit have higher chances to hide or do worst crimes is this lower chances of getting death sentence. Especially if there is a risk of sentencing wrong person.
And know people are glamorizing Junko’s torture and killing and saying they would do the same too. It’s absolutely baffling.
i dont understand how people think they can get away with shit like this, like snatching a person from the streets and going to an atm with their card...you are on so many cameras
Great channel
These cases are really saddening, R.I.P to Rie Isogai and Junko Furuta
I found out about Junko's case because if the GazettE song about it and its so tragic and heartbreaking
Gahhhhh i want more of Aki's true crime vids
This is why Hudood laws was revealed, at the end of times.
The crimes we have right now is so cruel compared to the times of prophets before us.
Hello Kitty case is up there too. In Asia.
It took place in china
Hey Aki, I remember watching a video of you covering Junko Furuta's case, but your video disappeared. Could you tell me what happened ?
Either taken down by TH-cam or she was asked to take it down for one reason or another.
Imagine being this evil to do this to someone
watching this kind of videos makes me miss detective aki
That poor mom. I can't imagine. 😢
Her mom's speech at the end was sad 😢
Seeing and hearing her mother broke my heart.
This just seems so senseless...like why? Its like he eant outside to walk in the rain and go back in the house... I'm just speechless.
Did you know that until a few years ago in Japan, the juvenile law meant that the names and faces of juvenile criminals were not made public? The law has already been revised to deal with violent crimes committed by minors.
「The revised Juvenile Law came into effect on April 1, 2022. With the Civil Code lowering the age of adulthood to 18, the Juvenile Law, which previously treated anyone under the age of 20 as a "juvenile," has also been revised.」
