Alisha Khanna, 30, ambitious, now finds herself at a crossroads in life. Just finished watching the movie. I love the fact that each characters are grey which makes the movie more realistic.This movie shows how the traumatic event that happened in your childhood changes your perspective of the world as an adult. As a person who suffered from trauma I could totally understand the character Alisha that Deepika Padukone potreys.

Glorifying cheating is the last thing that came to my mind after watching this trailer . Infact It seems to be the only movie that's showing the consequences of cheating unlike the countless Bollywood movies that used infidelity only as comic relief.

Watched it recently, it's a nuanced film that welcomes mature audience. The depth, complexities & inner-chaos is portrayed skillfully. the camera work, screenplay, lighting, cinematography are awesome.
Each characters have depth & have humane tendencies.
Beautifully crafted & served to an audience who are previously fed with elementary films that are loud & melodramatic. Unfortunately, the majority will not appreciate it.

It's a dark movie... It's not 'glorifying' cheating, it's just showcasing one of the mad aftermaths of cheating.
The fact that even after you die, the consequences of your actions can still live on.
The fact that mistakes are made by everyone, as big as cheating, as small as constantly icing out your partner.. so, it's more about being honest with your partner than just loyal. You aren't in love with someone anymore, break up! Don't cause yourself and your partner to be anymore miserable than what you might already be at that point.
Yeah, this movie teaches us that cheating is never glorifiable and its consequences are shown so properly. I liked the movie😊

Making movies not an easy task but making a great movie like this is even more challenging and almost impossible. Especially in a country like India where the majority of the people are obsessed with masala nonsensical patriarchal movies which sadly and clearly have messed up with the audience's mind. The story was engaging captivating right from the opening scene till the end and great use of symbolism throughout the movie which help me understand, sympathise and connect with those characters even more. I absolutely loved the story and the way it was presented. I loved the climax, it felt very real and heart-pounding and Thank you Shakun or the editor for not dramatising it with slow mo, background score effect. It was just perfectly executed and done in the most realistic manner. Deepika's choices of movies characters have always impressed me; she was Amazing in this movie; it's nice to see a star like her playing such realistic daring unique characters. She surely deserves all the praise and awards. Siddhant's performance effortless; the guy was born to perform. The rest of the actors have done great job too. Overall it's great work of art. It is a must watch for cinema lovers.

And the most important thing is don't justify cheating or glorify cheating, those people who are victim of cheating knows, the pain so don't show that cheating is ok, no it's not, if your are not happy with the person and want anyone just back off, you don't have the rights to break anyone's heart or play with their trust.

the movie shows how trauma affects relationships, which I think never really was shown in bollywood. the movie shows their childhood, which kind of makes you understand why they act the way they do. you can understand them with empathy, without judging them. kudos to the team

We Indians need stories which resonate with our lives. We need to the characters to dress up like we mostly do.....we want them to speak the language which we mostly speak. We don't want unnecessary phoniness. May be 0.01% population may relate to this movie......and guess what 0.01% people are giving positive reviews.

Things like toxicity in relationships, infidelity is clearly not a fantasy or a science fiction concept. People can relate with such things, we hear about these problems in real life. And if such things are glorified, it sends a message that cheating is not wrong and real people who were cheated upon and went through such relationship trauma are fools. This film is glorifying cheating. When they show hundreds of kissing scenes and call it "confusion", "attraction" or "gehraiyaan" in name of disloyalty, I call it nothing but pure bullshi!t. 🙂

@Straight facts😱 Watching movies based on infidelity doesn't provoke you to be a cheater if you truly love your partner and are loyal at heart. It depends on the individual whether to follow the right path or wrong path.
See, no one is completely good or bad. We all have different sides to our character and that's what the film is trying to showcase. If they are cheating, ofcourse they won't be having a good ending in their lives which will teach people to never cheat behind someone's back. Take it positively if you believe in positivity!

I loved the plot , the way it is not glorifying cheating instead of that it is showing the worst case scenarios of cheating and how it can lead to many bad things . In short, i found it pretty amazing movie
Loved the film not cause it contains infidelity or because it has matters of cheating but because it has a touch of reality and the fact film is treated as it's a serious problem in the today's world and the main character actually go through the sufferings cause of it and see the consequences of doing that big of a mistake. And the fact pati patni aur woh the film with same concept is treated as a comedy and literally it's genre is considered comedy which it isn't in the reality makes the cheating seem okay to the audience.

If a trailer was enough to make me anxious, angry and uncomfortable, I CANNOT wait to see the full film. I applaud the film for tackling such intense subject matter in the way it seems they are doing. The performances look impressive, as I love Deepika in any role and know she can pull it off. Siddhant has really impressed me. I am hopeful for Ananaya and hope she does a good job in this deeper role. All in all, this movie cannot come fast enough.

I didn't watch this movie until now because who wants to watch some rich people cheating and how that's the biggest problem in their lives? But it turned out to be very, very different and there are so many other things going on. It was a very unusual movie for Bollywood. Let me share my thoughts about this trailer as a European that has been in love with Indian cinema for more than 10 years. I agree that this trailer does look good, the acting of all actors is on point etc, but unfortunately to me the movie seems too American. It really looks like a typical Hollywood movie and to be honest I don't really like the direction Indian cinema is going in. That Indian unique storytelling of older Indian movies was what stood out for me and what made me fall in love with Indian movies when I was so tired of western cinema. Not showing even a single kiss between a couple and showing their emotions through a song - this is what I truely miss now in Indian movies (especially Hindi ones as they're the most westernized ones).
I really hope that Indian movies don't become another Hollywood movies that many people are so tired of.
Please keep showing me gems like Kal Ho Naa Ho, 3 Idiots, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Veer-Zaara, Vivah, Jab We Met - stories that move hearts and show innocence we all need so much these days.
If I want to watch a movie like this, I will watch a Hollywood movie that we have a plenty of.
