    I have the smaller metro sling, i envisioned it as sorta a small camera holster. My main issue is the included strap is only 1” so you gotta keep the weight down. You can get their thicker pro straps but those have a buckle in the middle which ain’t great for non upper chest carry. The boundary supply 1.5” ACC strap works best for me (no buckle) if you are gonna need more weight in Alpaka stuff. I love that coyote xpac, pity alpaka releases colors I like right after I buy their bags lol.

      Good call on the weight, but it’s small sling, mostly just a pocket-reliever

    With a sling mode I added a paracord connection. It feels very comfortable and puts less strain on the strap.

    I bought this bag because they showed it with a point and shoot camera, Fujifilm x100v, loading in the bag, they never showed the bag closed. If that's all you want to carry with some spare batteries then go for it. You really can't fit anything else in it. However, if you don' t put that particular camera in the bag and say use a smaller camera, this bag is almost perfect. Once you put your wallet, airpods, and a few other items the front zip becomes useless other than keys and some very small camera batteries. Tits on a bull. I do love this bag and use it every day. I just don't have my x100v with me. Now I carry the Richoh GR III instead. Love Alpaka but the photos that encouraged me to buy this bag were a little misleading.

      Thank you for your perspective - I could imagine that with a camera it’s a very very tight fit

      Thank you for posting this. Looking for a small sling for my X100V, spare battery, wallet, keys, airpods. I was considering the Go Sling Nano and the Bellroy Venture 2.5, which I ordered and should be receiving tomorrow. But I am still looking at alternatives just in case I need to return it. 😂

    Did you try putting the moleskine in the iPad mini sleeve? Was about to purchase before seeing it couldn't fit a book despite the dimensions of the bag being: L 18cm (7.08")x D 9cm (3.54") x H 24.5cm (9.64"). Impossible to find a sling/pouch that can fit a book and isn't oversized.

    I’m looking for a pouch or a sling pouch to carry crossbody when I go out for a few moments, while I go out for a work carry it on my work backpack like a edc. But I have another necessity reach my edc quickly even when I go out with my smaller backpack for leisure eg attaching the edc to my shoulder or something similar. Do you have any suggestions ?

      @@Nomads.Nation it takes forever. I believe they’re an Australian company but best I can tell they ship out of China. Tracking is unreliable for some reason. Currently my Tote is sitting Jamaica, Queens and has been since the 18th lol. Their customer service is very quick to get back to me, to their credit, but they have no answers as to why it’s not moving. I get that S&$@ happens but this is the 4th time lol, Same thing. I’d happily pay a premium for faster shipping but it’s not offered. Again, they make great stuff (the new Elements Tech Brief Pro is damn near perfect and definitely review worthy) but they need to level up their shipping game.

      @@Nomads.Nation not the OP but it's super slow (although doesn't cost extra but you do pay extra for the shipping insurance .. not a lot but still; it's optional but no way I'd skip it, I think my last one was $0.85 for maybe a $100 order). It's a really odd logistics thing for example I am in NJ (US) and their stuff has shipped to me from Long Island, so I could drive there in 90 mins. They create the label and it sits with USPS awaiting the package for up to a week, at which point it starts to make its way though the USPS system. So, takes about 10 days in the past for me; I know to expect it now but it's .. odd; and you see the tracking status and it doesn't budge for days and days. I suppose its cheaper and if you're not paying extra then well what do you expect? But its just odd how slow it is, they must batch up orders and only deliver to the USPS 1x / week in my area. Not sure what others have experienced.

    I think something that should be pointed out about this sling, it's narrower both width and depth at the base of the bag. So not as useful as I had hoped. Going back.

      I wonder how they both sling? Meaning how they sit on the back with the strap configured in sling mode. Slings tent to fall down to the side or tip outwards from the back unless the sling has a long shape or it strapped very tight.

      Hey Aaron, I will cc what I wrote to you a few weeks ago as it’s rather long…
      I got two bags from them, the Elements Tech Brief 14" XPAC which was gorgeous from the outside, but problematic in the inside. Others in Alpaka's website also say this, basically it is very small and fitted for example my 14" Macbook Air VERY VERY tightly, plus pockets did not expand so it was all very cramped inside. If you take all the normal working stuff inside, the hidden back compartment was useless...I did like the accordion style opening which helped a bit, but I would not buy again it or recommend it. The greatest con? The non-elastic pockets
      I sold the one above...and the second one I had was the Alpha sling V2 which is not sold any more that had this same issues plus, after some time, the rigid back panel basically started to get wobbly, literally! Like if the rigid plastic inside had deformed...awful...

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chispito6986 thanks for that! I'll say that I see your point about the back panel. In regards to the space of the pockets, that's a tougher one. If you want a sleek looking messenger it's just going to naturally have more tightness to it to keep its nicer aesthetic. Were you able to find a better alternative?
