Part 3 of RB20DET rebuild. In this video we assemble the head onto the block, torque the head down, fit the water pump, timing belt and time the engine.
When you rotate the assemble after the rebuild are you able to feel the lifters, i bled and reinstalled them but they seem to become resistant at certain parts of the rotation nothing too stiff though.
@@ToolTimeWithTom no they are out. the lifters make a squishy noise and when im turning the engine over by hand i can feel the cam lobes catching the edge of them. Is that normal?
I disassembled and reassembled everything turns out i had installed the intake cam caps upside down hadnt realized the text was supposed to face towards the exhaust
that exhaust looks amazing. always prefered the low mounts.
good job bro keep going 👍
Thanks! It's basically done now, just trying to catch up with the video editing now
@@ToolTimeWithTom nice I'm waiting for an update. also I work in my rb20det

Do you have spark plugs in?

Ah classic! I've done the same myself before! The text on the first cap shows the direction of the text for the other caps, but easy to miss
Where did you get the exhaust manifold bro? Do you have a link?
It's a LeadFootRacing manifold, they don't list them on their website any more it seems but I'm sure they'd make one if you asked
