rmyoung87 good point, another aspect is that the playoffs take place at the same time as the nba and although they have similar viewership having two finals going at once will naturally decrease views. I love football and the nba but hockey is pretty cool and definitely more interesting than baseball IMO, and I'm a sharks fan so it's even more exciting right now.

I definitely loved what they did with the Volley Ball mini-game by adding the option to use the time bomb ball and the dice ball to kind of splash some additional spice into it. The Ice Hockey one is fun too, but as was demonstrated, it can be pretty chaotic to play in.
I loved the bonus section in Mario Party 5, volleyball was one of my personal favorites that I played alot with my brother. I thought I'd mention that you are able to use the jump to block shots coming over the net which was really useful against spikes. The best parts of this game are the bonus mode stuff. Can't wait for the card party.

Guys hear me out! There should be an online Splatoon Tournament! The Runaway Guys+MasaeAnela VS The Lost Boys(SullyPwns, MunchingOrange, JohneAwesome and ZeldaMaster) VS Wii Like To Play VS Vinesauce (Vinny, Imakuni, and other members who has played the game), and probably more! 4 rounds on each battle, and people can watch from the person they cheer on or all 4 members put together their battles into one video! Please do this! It'll probably be super cool!
After re-watching this, one thing I noticed during the volleyball portion of the video was that there was a recurring problem in which after the first person received the first hit, it was hard for the other team mate to then follow up with the second hit because the teammate who first received it would sometimes stay in the exact same position making it difficult for the other player to get under the sphere to continue the volley. So a lot of conflict could've been avoided had they just been more aware of each other and move immediately after they hit it-that and also calling for the ball when the opposing team sends it over the net.
Is it bad that I actually got excited watching them play volleyball? I've played volleyball before, and this mini-game is surprisingly accurate and captures the excitement I had playing IRL.
As someone who bought a physical copy of Xenoblade and watched my parents play through it, I saw them use Shulk and Reyn a lot to craft gems. Especially for a certain later-game Unique Monster... Wise Gremory, for those who know. So that whole "To me! To you!" bit Emile quoted was all too familiar.
Man, these extra games are the main reason this is my favorite Mario Party. I love the gameplay of the Story Mode in this game (which is why I don't mind it being so lengthy and repetitive), but I think I spent most of my time playing /this/ mode. Particularly the Hockey game. I always played 5-minute hockey matches every time I turned the game on. Volleyball was also fun, but didn't quite keep me as interested. xD There's just something about the small arena that makes the game chaotic and fun~
So, the main boards are just filled with luck based games, while in the bonus features they have giant robot fights and legit sports. Well, grand, I suppose.
The most memorable parts of Mario party 5 isn't the main game (Except Pirate Dream ) but stuff like Super Duel mode minigame mode and bonus mode are the highlights

I definitely loved what they did with the Volley Ball mini-game by adding the option to use the time bomb ball and the dice ball to kind of splash some additional spice into it. The Ice Hockey one is fun too, but as was demonstrated, it can be pretty chaotic to play in.

I loved the bonus section in Mario Party 5, volleyball was one of my personal favorites that I played alot with my brother.
I thought I'd mention that you are able to use the jump to block shots coming over the net which was really useful against spikes. The best parts of this game are the bonus mode stuff. Can't wait for the card party.

The Runaway Guys+MasaeAnela VS The Lost Boys(SullyPwns, MunchingOrange, JohneAwesome and ZeldaMaster) VS Wii Like To Play VS Vinesauce (Vinny, Imakuni, and other members who has played the game), and probably more! 4 rounds on each battle, and people can watch from the person they cheer on or all 4 members put together their battles into one video! What a amazing last two goals of hockey for 3 min
After re-watching this, one thing I noticed during the volleyball portion of the video was that there was a recurring problem in which after the first person received the first hit, it was hard for the other team mate to then follow up with the second hit because the teammate who first received it would sometimes stay in the exact same position making it difficult for the other player to get under the sphere to continue the volley. So a lot of conflict could've been avoided had they just been more aware of each other and move immediately after they hit it-that and also calling for the ball when the opposing team sends it over the net.
Is it bad that I actually got excited watching them play volleyball? I've played volleyball before, and this mini-game is surprisingly accurate and captures the excitement I had playing IRL.

What an intense game of ice hockey!
As someone who bought a physical copy of Xenoblade and watched my parents play through it, I saw them use Shulk and Reyn a lot to craft gems. Especially for a certain later-game Unique Monster... Wise Gremory, for those who know. So that whole "To me! To you!" bit Emile quoted was all too familiar.
Man, these extra games are the main reason this is my favorite Mario Party. I love the gameplay of the Story Mode in this game (which is why I don't mind it being so lengthy and repetitive), but I think I spent most of my time playing /this/ mode. Particularly the Hockey game. I always played 5-minute hockey matches every time I turned the game on. Volleyball was also fun, but didn't quite keep me as interested. xD There's just something about the small arena that makes the game chaotic and fun~
So, the main boards are just filled with luck based games, while in the bonus features they have giant robot fights and legit sports. Well, grand, I suppose.
The most memorable parts of Mario party 5 isn't the main game (Except Pirate Dream ) but stuff like Super Duel mode minigame mode and bonus mode are the highlights
