My daughter is mortician and just graduated during the pandemic. I'm so proud of her dedication and compassion she shows to those she prepares for their final journey. I personally would be too emotional but God Bless those who do such a selfless job 🙏
@@cgass0109 my daughter is a mortician and her work load has been non stop. Like she tells me, you are the last responders. You all are in my prayers 🙏and gratitude for the dignity you give people at the end of life. Stay safe and strong 💪❤. You are the unsung heroes during this pandemic. I salute each and every one of you. God Bless
A big thank you to all the funeral directors, their teams, and their families. I studied Mortuary Science in college, but dropped my classes when my mother passed. It was too difficult to keep up my studies while grieving. It takes a special person to dedicate themselves to caring for the deceased, and the family of the deceased. They spend several hours comforting, listening, and helping the family make difficult decisions at a difficult time. This is an unusual time and these dedicated people need our thanks and appreciation just like the healthcare workers. So, thank you, and bless you for the work that needs to be done at the end of all our journeys.
Im so sorry for your loss... It is very difficult when you lose a parent. My father passed 2 weeks ago from Covid. And without God, i don't know what i would do. I was with my dad everyday, and his passing wasn't expected. He did have health problems; he was on dialysis, he had diabetes, and he had high blood pressure but he was doing great. He was diagnosed with covid on Jan. 1st, his heart stopped for the first time the very next day, it took 5-6 min to bring him back..he was put in an induced coma, put on a ventilator, the doctors cooled his body all the way down to allow his brain to recover from the lack of oxygen when he flatlined.. But on Jan. 4th he died. He would've been 71 on Jan. 5th (the very next day). And i was so heart broken... I seen his body on the stretcher in the hospital before he was taken to the morgue, and he looked exactly the way he looked when he was sleeping. God knows i miss him, but i give Him all the glory, thanks and the praise for Him giving me strength and understanding during this time. It has to be God, bc i did not know how i would ever take it if one of my parents passed. I hope youre doing ok now, just remember that ALL Gods ppl will be reunited back together again with the ones that has gone to glory before us! And this time we will never have to be apart again! God bless you!
Plan of Salvation Before we were born on earth, we lived with our Heavenly Parents as Their spirit children (see Doctrine and Covenants 138:55-56). At a council with all of His children, Heavenly Father presented a plan, known as the “plan of salvation” or “the great plan of happiness” (Alma 42:5, 8). The plan includes all the laws and ordinances of the gospel necessary to gain eternal life, “the greatest of all the gifts of God” (Doctrine and Covenants 6:13). Sadly, one-third of Heavenly Father’s spirit children did not accept the plan. They chose to follow Lucifer, a spirit son of God who rebelled against Our Heavenly Father and who consequently became the devil, and were cast out of the presence of God (see Revelation 12:7-9). We are on earth because we chose to follow Heavenly Father’s plan. One significant purpose of mortality is to gain a physical body. On earth we can have joy and peace, but we will also face temptation, opposition, and adversity and experience trials. Earthly trials are part of mortality and can help us grow to be more like our Heavenly Father. Essential to the plan is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Jesus overcame spiritual and physical death and took upon Himself our afflictions, sorrows, and sins (see Alma 7:11-13). This suffering, death, and Resurrection is referred to as the Atonement. The Atonement was necessary since “no unclean thing can dwell with God” (1 Nephi 10:21). It is through Christ’s sacrifice that we can repent and live with God again. Also essential to God’s plan is agency, or the ability to choose. When we choose to repent of our sins, we choose to accept the gift of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. If we exercise our agency to keep the commandments, we have the blessing of participating in sacred ordinances, which are ceremonies that include making covenants or promises with God. These ordinances include baptism, confirmation, priesthood ordination for men, and temple ordinances. Part of our Heavenly Father’s plan is that someday we will all die. Death is the separation of the spirit and the physical body. Our spirit, which existed in the premortal life, will live on after our death. If we lived righteously-repenting as needed-to the end of our mortal life, we will enter spirit paradise. The Book of Mormon prophet Alma described this as “a state of rest, a state of peace” (Alma 40:12). Because of Christ’s Atonement, all of God’s children will be resurrected and our bodies and spirits will be reunited (see 1 Corinthians 15:20-22; Doctrine and Covenants 88:14-17). Resurrection will be followed by the Final Judgment, where God will judge us according to our desires and our obedience to the commandments (see 2 Nephi 9:15-17; Doctrine and Covenants 137:9). If we have qualified through repentance, we will be able to live forever with our loving Heavenly Parents (see Alma 40; 41; Doctrine and Covenants 76).
I'm security guard I have to take ppls temps I hear so many times a day this will end election time.everyone that says that needs to go work with this guy for a day
They are. I have friends that works in the funeral industry. I pray that they don't come down with this virus. They deserve much more recognition and also the media haven't mentioned them for the vaccine. I can't believe it! They're the ones we go to make arrangements and to bury their dead.
Very overwhelming I am sure for families and funeral directors. So sad how many families have not gotten to say proper goodbye’s in these covid times. I can’t imagine not having that ritual experience to say good bye or let the deceased have friends and loved ones have that final moment to grieve together. Prayers for the families who have lost loved ones of covid.
NOVEMBER 2020, I conducted my brothers memorial service in Texas, I couldn't even get an appointment for 2 weeks to see the funeral director. Being a former director/embalmer I took care of my own family, I'm thankful my brother had a prearranged funeral plan. When I finally got to see the F/H, they tried to up sell us and my experience wasn't good after they learned I wasn't purchasing anything else from them. It took almost a month to get the cremated remains.
Thank you Matt. Your pain is seen. It is shared by many millions around the globe. You are doing the very best you can under unbelievable restrictions and fears. THANK YOU for sharing your story. Stay strong for your own family. YOU are a good and kind man.
First of all, I just want to thank you and let you know how deeply I am touched by your service, and how greatful I am to all the last responders. I am a first responders. My heart is torn to pieces on a daily basis. But this is for you and your staff. I simply say, thank you friend.
Thank you funeral folks for all you are doing. You are every bit as important and vital as our docs and nurses. All of you are hero's as are all first responders. I'm glad you are communicating with your peers and helping each other out. God bless and keep you all.
Poor man...such pressures and the worries going with it are tremendous at this time. Can’t imagine his feelings leaving his family each morning, not knowing if he will be well enough to return to them at night. He abd his team are showing such respect to all the diseased he is having to retain in the chapel, as it’s unbelievable that funerals and cremations are backing up due to unprecedented numbers...how this dreadful virus is causing such chaos and distress to us all, but particularly people in this line of work, risking their own lives. Godbless then all, and praying they stay safe throughout. 🙏🙏🙏💐🤞🤞🤞

Thank you so much for sharing this story. This Funeral Director is a great example of his chosen profession. Honestly I have not even thought about what was going on in this line of work. My god this poor man is so very clearly overwhelmed. This isn't right. Funeral directors need assistance. They deserve so much more respect than this. He's doing his absolute best which is fantastic he's doing amazing but. The governments should be stepping in to help. He's so overwhelmed
It’s gotten worst. Sadly my own grandmother can’t have a proper burial and they’re not even allowed to have clothes for her it’s just depressing 💔 no viewing or streaming services!!! We cant have a traditional home going for her!!! People still think COVID is not bad or serious until it’s them or there love ones.

My god this poor man is so very clearly overwhelmed. This isn't right. Funeral directors need assistance. They deserve so much more respect than this. He's doing his absolute best which is fantastic he's doing amazing but. The governments should be stepping in to help. He's so overwhelmed
God bless you all!
Thanks for ur service
May God protect you and your team.
Thank you for all you do!!!
May God richly bless you. You deserve it.
A lady I know couldn't have a funeral, she was taken straight from her house where she died to the cemetery alone. First wave of covid 2020
It’s not just about the Drs and nurses..
No one ever said it was.
