Good to see you back. I've been consistently playing PVP but you hit the nail on the head. I'm playing a lot of the same people every day. The rest of the game has much more replay value than in the past. People are grinding the Halloween events for weapons and class items, we had a grind for the stasis glaive, people are hopping into Gambit for Bygones, no red borders keep people in the new onslaught, new dungeon is fun and we have the weekly pinnacles. Comp had been buggy and generally match making has been hit or miss but I'm having fun and the sandbox is allowing for some variety
Hey TV, I found my way back to Destiny 2 as well recently. Finally got the exotic class items unlocked via the event and its been more fun. I landed a Werewolf with Arrowhead break, appended mag, lone wolf and tap the trigger with a range masterwork. It is a 4.5 out of 5 but it puts in work in the Cruicible.
I have to say that I wasn't too worried about it. I did get rewind and kinetic tremors roll that seemed great for PVE and was pretty happy with it. I have an old roll fourth times and vorpal that is a lot of fun. Glad you are back..missed ya buddy.
I got all the PVP rolls of this gun, and man I love it. The PVE rolls... Subsistance/Swash and Rewind/Targetlock have eluded me for over 100 times. Is weightgate not fixed yet, because dayem!
I hate grinding. I’m burnt out on getting burnt out. I have a nice Braytech Werewolf from a previous Festival of the Lost and several new ones to consider, so I’m happy with whatever I end up with from casual play.
Bungie scaling back craftable weapons in favor of the grind is what it finally took for me to stop feeling like I had to keep logging in every day. I only played twice in the past few months and I had a frustrating experience and left both times feeling my time was better spent elsewhere. Still appreciate your content TV. Even if destiny isn't doing it for me, you've still got a great whiskey channel I can look forward to tuning into.
Im fine with some grind, but i fucking hate relying entirely on RNG.Especially when it comes out that the perks we were grinding for were nearly impossible to get because bungie broke their RNG. That's why crafting+ the upgrade system we have is great. Your random roll can be enhanced, but if you grind and grind and dont get the random roll, you'll eventually be able to craft the gun you want. I dont get why people advocate for MORE gambling with our time.
Yeh i usually play the game a bunch both pvp and a decent amount of pve. This season i got a good exuviave from a tonic did some red border grind which i only did because my main account got banned a while back so i needed to get em back and I've barely played pvp because of the infinite special and ability meta. Pvp is unplayable, pve is worthless because there's no reason to grind due to the rng since there's no goal without crafting...and yeh...they shot themselves in the foot killing both pve and pvp in one update.

Only thing i HATE is that the engrams needed to focus this gun rarely drop. And even worse the droprate for the werewolf is like 5%. Ive got that shitty shotgun and trash sniper like 8+ times already. And have only got ONE werewolf drop from the event. Its BULLSHIT rng. We dont need easy weapon crafting, i agree. That kills the grind. But ffs at least make the grind somewhat fair. This level of rng is just stupid.
I grinded haunted lost sectors almost every day the last 2 weeks for this gun. I've gotten 2 rolls with 100 range with lone wolf and kill clip, and also zen and kill clip. Also got one with 90 range light mag, rewind rounds and kinetic tremors. I also have several other rolls in the vault. Anytime we get a kinetic 450 AR, it's a must have for me.
I've been grinding pretty hard and I have only seen Lone Wolf/Kill Clip once. It truly feels like the perk weighing didn't change, my RNG is just that bad😔
@ yea it was super rare. I grinded almost every single day past 2 weeks and only got 1 lone wolf kill clip with 100 range roll. I’ve gotten a couple others but the masterwork or barrel was not good. But I mean I am an AR main though, I literally use AR ONLY in the PVP for years now. My original Braytech werewolf from years ago has 1000 PVP kills on the tracker.

i haven't played PvP since before Final Shape. It just got so bad on so many levels that i needed to step back. I was a rare lighthouse visitor, it was tough. But I always enjoyed some IB and sometimes I look back on my pvp days with those rose-colored nostalgia glasses and wonder if... but then I remember the months, the years, of painful matchmaking, terrible metas, horrible meta-breaking rotations of dominant pvp weapons and smile. I've grown. I thank myself for the healthy choices I've made to prioritize myself in life aaaaaaaand I click back into my 4200th hour of D2 on steam alone. GG, thanks for the content, as always TV.
Great to see you back in Destiny again TV! These days I'm mostly playing PvP as I don't get that same level of enjoyment from Pve, although I am excited for the prison of elders revamp in act 2.

Pvp is actually the only thing that keeps me playing. And I only grind things to get certain pvp guns. I’m sadly grinding gambit just so I can get a few resets then focus for some god roll bygones
The winter-wolf weapon model is still one of the best in the game. The gun is just awesome :) Managed to get a 4/5 - reload MW instead of range. But it still shreds
Ive been grinding for it all FOTL simply as it's only in the game once every two years and I had until this festival still not had a god roll. as missed fotl last time the werewolf was in the pool annoyingly so ive literally waited a few years to grind for a god roll again (its my favourite primary in the game) Now I have every perk roll I wanted but just grinding out in hopes of the same with better barrels/MW whilst I can
I've been playing pvp but you're right. Too many times I teamed up with players that I just played with a game ago. And went against people I just played against
Thank you for this review. I am still grinding for a good PvP roll. I currently have a Kill Clip-Dynamic Sway which I dont hate. But I like where your at with this roll. I am going to try to get one.
Over the past 5 or so years, if no more, I have rarely enjoyed my time in the crucible, and I only continued playing on the hope that one or two updates would balance the sandbox enough that I could compete at my meager skill level with the legendary primaries that I love. Players get rewarded for using high AA and exotic weapons and it feels like quick healing and overshields are mandatory which makes wizard battles and not gunfights with clever repositioning or tactical ability usage. So no TV, my enjoyment with PvP has always been limited to the first one or two matches that I play after a week or so away from the mode.

I grinded for a kinetic tremors role. I haven’t played core PvP modes since the go fast update because I just don’t find the ability spam fun. I jump into trials and banner for armor transmit and then I dip out until new armors
If you enjoyed this- have you tried origin Story recently? The nadir origin trait makes this thing a monster. I have high cal and high ground (the other perks stink) and I was running through comp with it! I put on the anti flinch mod and it was crazy
While I appreciate appreciate the review and perspective change I cannot get a good role on this think and haunted sectors make me fall asleeo even soloing legend with 10 kills is a snooze. I really want the anonymous autumn review to be done so I can hear your thoughts. Need that sidearm professional insight. As for pvp: it's a tough sell these days but I will tough it out if I want a gun I like or a weapon alot. Iron banner will definitely bring alot into the fold with the rocket sidearm, but other than that all of the core activities are suffering from the state of the game, conclusion of final shape and a huge lack of incentive in my opinion. Crucible is an even harder sell because if I pop in I know I am about to have a rough time competing with the people who spend significantly more time than me there. Thanks for the review! Two days back after a several month break. Lone Wolf, Kill Clip and Armor piercing rounds on my first Werewolf drop. Have to let you know what I think of the state of things.
Ground for it for the last 2 weeks, I have 20 copies drop, I still don't have KC/LW or Onslaught/LW. I do have Rewind/Tremors for PVE and I use TTT/LW for PVP at present. As for PVP, I play it 50/50 with PVE .. I have noticed PVP waiting time in the lobby is much longer, noticeably so, so I guess there are less players to match a game up with.
I feel like there’s a ton more to do to get a variety of weapons now. I used to be 100% pvp and now I’m 30-40% doing other activities (gambit for bygones, events, etc)
thanks so much, i had a ton of fun. gonna wait until we get some proper new content as it's not a live service game and then get back to it eventually. i think it's an incredible game.

I got the same roll but with extended barrel instead & I use the ballistics mod so it’s 100 range. Thing is nutty, too bad crucible is very mid right now..
I currently have 21 werewolves in my vault. Half have the same perks, onslaught target lock with a reload masterwork. Needless to say im over it at this point. I do have a few loan wolf/kill clip but they have trash stats and again, reload masterwork. Perkweighting in full effect
I farmed for a lone wolf roll ... Didnt got an kill clip roll but target lock is been working for me. And current thoughts on pvp are ...pulse are a bit to strong , ability and special have to much up time, and control has never been this sweaty for me since the matchmaking changes. I feel like im the one who gets put in the team of the "outlier" to balance the teams
Lone Wolf's AA is wild. It's so sticky. You can put the reticle in the general direction of the enemies grape. Edit: Whatchu know about sticky mattresses?
my man when i first got married i was a handyman who did repairs on a college campus including the boys' dorms. I know a LOT about sticky mattresses, more than I care to honestly
So like every gun in the game. I'm a handcannon main and I'm an advocate for HC aim assist nerf even tho HCs are terrible in this meta. To give you a rough idea i think i have 80k PvP kills total and 35-40k is handcannons 😂.
Still playing PVP sixes, sometimes comp, and waiting for iron banana. I sometimes PVE but my clan doesn't get on as much and they usually have spots lined up for raids or dungeons. LFG has been hit or miss for me. Still like the game- 4 years of PVP :)
didn't regrind this, i already have dsr/kill clip and love it. pvp is kinda meh. not as bad as heights of prismatic hunter spam, but I am not enjoying the number of hand holding pulse rifle enjoyers

I realised during the Act 2 stream, that was good, that bungie can't retain player trust and funfactor with one single thing. They took years of dissapoitment to get us where we are now. So they need years of banger after banger to regain trust and funfactor. Destiny is on the backburner for me right now.

Pretty sure rejoining is an intentional thing for people who disconnect, even quitting on purpose it holds your spot and tries to get you back in if you search right away. I’ve been playing 4 different rpgs, 2 mmos if you include this as one, so just time wise I’ve been doing the event stuff and not much extra (some core activities but mostly haunted sectors with no intentional grinding) weirdly been having a good time in gambit where usually I hate that. I’ll have to keep my eye out for lone wolf
I jumped to CODBLOP 6, I just don't have anything left to play for in Destiny's PvP. I'm hoping Bungie gives me some good reason to come back but I'm not holding my breath.
Ill always be a pvp main BUT this ep and last have felt like we went 5 seasons back progress wise. Theres too much ability spam and strong abilities at that (looking at u diamond lance knockout titans). Its 100% season of the fusion/shotty with a dash of op snipers (machbre is insane). I will say for whatever reason this season Im playing all 3 of characters rather than just stay on my hunter so its felt a bit refreshing that way. I think for me as 10yr vet and pvp main it just feels EXTREMELY fatiguing that were back with too many op abilties and ppl r playing SO SUPER passive cuz of the abilties and also pulses r just so frustrating with allll the crazy rolls now bygones and elsies just 2 bursting from 38-40+ meters when Im just trying to use a wimpy hc just feels oppressive at times like honestly Ive been playing WAY more class clash cuz its open skill and my 6’s lobbies r NOT chill at all like I just did my comp matches not trying to play 6v6 comp thank you very much. I miss season of the wish already the only season I went solo accendant and now Im back to being “adept locked”. Idk about u guys but 1/3+ of my comp matches I’m FORCED to loose. Like it feels like open skill somtimes I swear cuz there no way I top frag with a 1.3 and my teammates have like 0.7 or below and the ops have 2.0-3.0+ with like a 18-35 score 3/9 of my weekly matches EVERY WEEK. Theres def a scary trend going on in comp and I’m not having it. Comp just feels so off and WAY more terrible than than before last ep. 😢

I’m one of the few crazies still playing PvP. It’s the only part of the game I want to interact with anymore. The loot grind has worn out for me.

3:49 I actually didn't get any good rolls in the previous years (I kept a Well Rounded + KC that I never used). So this year is full grind.

I have this exact roll, and if you enhance it instead of just master working it, you can put the new ballistic mod on it and get it to 100 range.

Not had kill clip drop once in the full event, and they reckon they fixed weighted drops all I seem to get is kinetic tremors, takes the piss

I have focused 20+ of these things and have yet to see either of the 2 combos I am after. LW&KC like you got or for PVE a RR&KT roll.
I did not grind for it, though I got all the PVE god rolls in the first week. Nice one on the Trucker's mattress joke.

thanks so much, i had a ton of fun. gonna wait until we get some proper new content as it's not a live service game and then get back to it eventually. i think it's an incredible game.

I got the same roll but with extended barrel instead & I use the ballistics mod so it’s 100 range. Thing is nutty, too bad crucible is very mid right now..
got mine with zen / KC. with arrowhead / range master work melts
I dismantled this roll because I was mad and I wanted rewind/onslaught for PVP. Poor Man's Sweet Business
I currently have 21 werewolves in my vault. Half have the same perks, onslaught target lock with a reload masterwork. Needless to say im over it at this point.
I do have a few loan wolf/kill clip but they have trash stats and again, reload masterwork.

I farmed for a lone wolf roll ... Didnt got an kill clip roll but target lock is been working for me.
And current thoughts on pvp are ...pulse are a bit to strong , ability and special have to much up time, and control has never been this sweaty for me since the matchmaking changes. I feel like im the one who gets put in the team of the "outlier" to balance the teams
I'm having fun. Definitely don't love the season, but, the weapons I'm grinding out are fun to play with.

Lone Wolf's AA is wild. It's so sticky. You can put the reticle in the general direction of the enemies grape.

I'm a handcannon main and I'm an advocate for HC aim assist nerf even tho HCs are terrible in this meta.
To give you a rough idea i think i have 80k PvP kills total and 35-40k is handcannons 😂.
Have you taken a closer look at the recoil? Recoil mod not needed right? Makes it worse even? 75 recoil better than higher recoil on this gun yeah?
any number closer to 5 I find them less flinchy .. ex 74 84 94 is good seems like anything higher then 5 guns wanna move left or right ..
Still playing PVP sixes, sometimes comp, and waiting for iron banana. I sometimes PVE but my clan doesn't get on as much and they usually have spots lined up for raids or dungeons. LFG has been hit or miss for me. Still like the game- 4 years of PVP :)

didn't regrind this, i already have dsr/kill clip and love it. pvp is kinda meh. not as bad as heights of prismatic hunter spam, but I am not enjoying the number of hand holding pulse rifle enjoyers
If you play strictly solo pvp is a pretty decent experience. switching between solo and fireteam play is rough in my experience

I realised during the Act 2 stream, that was good, that bungie can't retain player trust and funfactor with one single thing. They took years of dissapoitment to get us where we are now. So they need years of banger after banger to regain trust and funfactor. Destiny is on the backburner for me right now.
Feeling dumb passing on this roll for zen moment… but I’m terrible in crucible and zen is probably better for me.

Pretty sure rejoining is an intentional thing for people who disconnect, even quitting on purpose it holds your spot and tries to get you back in if you search right away.
I’ve been playing 4 different rpgs, 2 mmos if you include this as one, so just time wise I’ve been doing the event stuff and not much extra (some core activities but mostly haunted sectors with no intentional grinding) weirdly been having a good time in gambit where usually I hate that. I’ll have to keep my eye out for lone wolf
I jumped to CODBLOP 6, I just don't have anything left to play for in Destiny's PvP. I'm hoping Bungie gives me some good reason to come back but I'm not holding my breath.
Ill always be a pvp main BUT this ep and last have felt like we went 5 seasons back progress wise. Theres too much ability spam and strong abilities at that (looking at u diamond lance knockout titans). Its 100% season of the fusion/shotty with a dash of op snipers (machbre is insane). I will say for whatever reason this season Im playing all 3 of characters rather than just stay on my hunter so its felt a bit refreshing that way. I think for me as 10yr vet and pvp main it just feels EXTREMELY fatiguing that were back with too many op abilties and ppl r playing SO SUPER passive cuz of the abilties and also pulses r just so frustrating with allll the crazy rolls now bygones and elsies just 2 bursting from 38-40+ meters when Im just trying to use a wimpy hc just feels oppressive at times like honestly Ive been playing WAY more class clash cuz its open skill and my 6’s lobbies r NOT chill at all like I just did my comp matches not trying to play 6v6 comp thank you very much. I miss season of the wish already the only season I went solo accendant and now Im back to being “adept locked”. Idk about u guys but 1/3+ of my comp matches I’m FORCED to loose. Like it feels like open skill somtimes I swear cuz there no way I top frag with a 1.3 and my teammates have like 0.7 or below and the ops have 2.0-3.0+ with like a 18-35 score 3/9 of my weekly matches EVERY WEEK. Theres def a scary trend going on in comp and I’m not having it. Comp just feels so off and WAY more terrible than than before last ep. 😢

Queue is super shallow right now because Call of Duty is reeeeally good. PVE & PVP. So lots of people are grinding that. Especially high end players.
This is on a Dynamic + Tap roll, but with Full Bore + Light Mag + Range MW I'm at 99 range.
