Done it once and got the trophies and then never touched the map again 🤣
I finally managed to do it after a couple days of trying on Saturday!!
After 2 hours and 47 minutes and inspired my my friends who either got it easily or was more lucky than me, i got the apocalypse trophy after 4 retries
First ghost Poltergeist - died
Second ghost Spirit - died
Third ghost Demon - survived, wrong guess (was almost right though)
Fourth ghost Thaye - survived succeeded even though it was a kitchen ghost and i needed to get an EMF read on it as a mission objective
It was the most fun I've had in phasmophobia
Edit : i didn't practice or anything and just decided to go for the Gold trophy with zero training and using mainly experience and conflicting information from my friends watching and meme'ing me on discord

You know… people always ask the ghost if they are French. So the devs should add a response in the spirit box where the ghost say “oui oui” but it is rare and only happened if you say “are you French?”

I like how one of the most vetted phas players is struggling with this and the devs go “you know… I think we need to make this shit harder”

I love insym, he’s def above average at listening to ghost speeds, but he is a lot better at visual cues from what I’ve seen. Absolute content goat though

with the hunt at 40:30 it turned into a Raiju which gave it away for me, I'm surprised Insym didn't notice that the moment it came upstairs it instantly got really fast and didn't speed up

@@alishpeach8 Raijus get really fast when they are near electronics but they dont speed up when in line of sight while affected by electronics
Been playing on ps5 religiously with about 150 hours of game time. Got my gold without the goggles. It was an Oni. Been loving this damn game and I'm having a blast with my friends too.
If I play the apoc challenge, I find it useful to get in with a paramic to listen where the ghost is (with tier III you also can test for Myling, at least kind of). Also, a crucifix beneath the player is advised against a Banshee, Phantom or Wraith. I usually throw all the needed items in before I actually go in. Also, have more than one smudge stick ready whenever its possible, as the smudge doesn't really repel the ghost, and they really like to stay near the smoke sometimes.

7:40 Insym says it's the only place you can do it, but there's 3 other locations (one is super wack though). The other 2 spots that work exactly like this Female Hallway spot are the sideways bed in the Female Dorm Room & the sideways bed frame in Hospital Room 4.
I don't want to mention the other one, because a spot that works the same way has been fixed in the past :)

I have explored the entire outside of Sunny Meadows after finding one of the two ways to self glitch through doors since it became a thing on the Eventide update.

i want to try for at least bronze or silver, but gold is like. terrifying. it feels like breaking your legs and then playing in the middle of a freeway with how much faster the ghost is than you.

Last week I did the silver one and it was kind of "easy" but was also saved by kind Deogen who let me do all the missions XD I will never try for gold, no running for me is such an impossible nightmare

I swear, the last time I played Phasmo was shortly after it came out. This game got so much more terrific since then! I'd constantly poop my pants xD
To anyone who might be reading this and want to complete it on your own without having to completely rely on deo, here's what I did using mostly T2 equipment without NV:
1. Reroll until u have good objectives. This won't take long, try to mainly avoid EMF, crucifix, ghost event, and firelight is a bit iffy sometimes. If you *really* want to make this as easy as possible, and I highly advise u to do so, roll until you have 2 smudge challenges and one of either escaping the hunt or taking a picture of the ghost. Can be any combination of these, it doesn't matter.
2. Go inside with parabolic+smudge+video cam (i took video cam since I don't have T3 firelight or NV, u can also alternatively take something related to your objective like a motion sensor. Once you get used to the layout you can entirely skip it). Then check for ghost speed when it starts to hunt using parabolic, there is a wall directly to the right when u enter and it's a decent hiding spot for checking this or in a pinch if you're being hunted. I HIGHLY, and I mean, HIGHLY advise to only go for rev or naturally fast ghosts, unless it's a very easily identifiable normal speed one like banshee. It might seem counter-intuitive to go for the fastest ones, but believe me they're so much easier to identify and half of this challenge is just trying to *avoid* the ghost as much as possible once u got what u needed. So whether u have normal speed or fast speed it doesnt matter, if ur not by a hiding spot ur dead anyways. Otherwise ur gonna spend half an hour getting everything else done just to be stuck beween mare/yurei/goryo/onryo/etc. Or die trying to test for yokai. At the same time, try to kinda echolocate where the ghost is using parabolic and if its close or not. It's easier if u have T3 para but general rule of thumb is if you're by main entrance and you can hear it on parabolic, but not without, it's probably either in chapel or on either hallway next to the chapel, these are the best spots.
3. Once you have a good, identifiable ghost, and you know it's not in the basement or super far away like kitchen, make your way to the chapel and hide behind piano. I like this location a lot since it has natural lights and you can drop your equipment there without having to use video cam to look around. Bait it to walk into the chapel, smudge it, pic, and hide behind piano. If you don't have T3 camera, do NOT take pic BEFORE smudging. You won't have the time to switch to smudge, unless u drop it. But then it gets real messy if the pic didnt count. Even if you have T3, id still smudge before pic. Alternatively, if you can't make it to the chapel, you can hide right next to main entrance after taking a pic of it in the lobby. Not as safe but I've gotten a win on there too.
4. At this point, if you have the pic of it, and you rerolled so it's not a hard to identify normal speed, and you also got good objectives, you should be all done. If not, you're probably missing motion sensor objective, or parabolic or smth. There is just enough time for you to go from chapel to the main entrance after smudging so go grab anything else you need or leave and there you go!
Bonus tips, the ghost can blow out candles in the chapel which counts for the objective. More reason not to go for normal speed ghost, since if it's an onryo you're completely screwed. There are also a couple of good youtube videos demonstrating the sound of ghosts on 150% speed, highly advise u to check it out before trying this.

I’ve had a dream before where I broke though a wall of a dream. And explored a land where all my past dreams are kept. The “dream keeper” even said I wasn’t suppose to be here. I quite literally broke the fourth wall of my original dream and explored some dreams I had in the past.
That’s wild, closest I’ve ever gotten to anything like that was falling asleep in a dream and finding out that I was lucid dreaming inside of the second dream, which interestingly did not make me aware I was dreaming in the first one

I got so lucky and unlucky at the same time. I got a deo after many tries, which is awesome. BUUUUUT the ghost room was very far away (Laundry Room or something). One of my Objectives was to get a Ghost Event. And It wasnt possible for me to reach the room before it hunted again (used up my smudgies at this point already) After 25 minutes of running back and hoping i get an event, I actually got it. I was so happy and still am.

I hate making the player slower. Make the ghost 8x faster instead, but I can't stand the player being slower. I wish the base speeds were 150% and there were no slower options available, only making the player faster or the ghost faster. And you should gain or loose EXP for either by the square of how different they are. So if you made the ghost 200% faster than the player, you'd get 4x exp, but if you did the opposite, you'd only get 25% of your total exp.
I also hate the speed of the character. How can you have a fast-paced walk of 15 feet and then pant like you've just fought off a hippo

downloaded phasmo today and am praying for not getting a rev, deo,thaye and demon....makes me wonder when will i be able to do the Apocalypse challenge....prob never.
Actually those ghosts are the best to get in apocalypse because they are easily detectable. Same with teleporty ghosts. Mine was a Rev. It was scary to get the photo but I used tier 3 smudges and had no issue.

I hate tier 3 but for the intended purpose of stopping the ghost to get a photo it worked for me. I started trying the challenge with tier 2 but i couldnt get the photo.
I thought the same but I've done it twice! Got it first practice run and got it first real run. Got a wraith and a banshee. Banshee jumpscared me on the way out.

Have you considered it didn't hunt for 3 minutes because it mimicked a spirit when you smudged it? Might explain why!
Or the ghost just chose not to hunt for a while, or it became a shy shade.. who knows. Mimics are crazy! But definitely one of my favorite ghosts.
May be an unpopular opinion, but I didn't find this challenge too bad. After only playing for less than 2 weeks (literally had no clue what the game was about before that), I got it, and only attempted the challenge like 10 times max.
For me personally, the hide and seek extreme challenge was WAY harder than gold Apocalypse.
I always get ghosts that are hella far and will not be led no matter what! I can't even hear their steps so I have to venture so deep and once I find them, dead. So frustrating. Where is that "looping" spot with the beds?

can you do a proper yokai test with the headcam on? wont it always know where you are via tracking the headcam? or does having the NV on not mean the ghost can track you? (only at T2 headcams currently)

Insym has made a ghost guide video (in 2023) about all of the ghosts and their abilities. It is very helpful for people who are trying to learn what each ghost does, and how to tell what ghosts they could be! :D

Phasmo keeps being a fun game to return to, but boy does it need new scares, new mechanics, new ghosts, new anything. I think more subtle scares would benefit it a lot.

No, you can still outrun a deo 150% speed with 50% player speed. Best ghost for this challenge.

You can but you won't get the trophy. The trophy is only on Asylum.

What custom settings do you use
The game itself has all apocalypse challenges available. You can also play with the settings a little to make some things easier and still keep the multiplier.

you have small medium and large maps, they give 100, 150, and 200 respectively, it's been updated recently. It used to be 100, 125, 150.
