I love Éabha's voice especially, doesn't matter if it's her singing or speaking voice. I guess I have a thing for altos. Plus that gold dress makes her look like Belle.
This was an old Irish folk song that Padraig Pearse, the first President of the Irish Republic, reworked into an independence anthem. He made it about Gráinne Ní Mháille because she was both a fearless leader and a woman. Pearse wanted equality for everyone. Truly a song of a Celtic Woman.
I saw this same four perform in Portland a few years ago and they were just amazing. No one does this song better.
The most gorgeous version of "The Parting Glass" Celtic Woman has ever sung! Please, please, please put this in their recording!
This sounded fantastic on tour! That ending is gold! I can't even imagine how amazing this would sound on a studio album backed by a full orchestra.
