      @@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 sure thing, my front grizzly brakes are lightly rubbing on the rotors I can hear them. Can I bleed them fairly quickly doing it without the mighty vacuum. Also how do I change the pads without opening the system

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah it's really easy to bleed the system with out a mighty vacuum. You just pump up the brake lever & hold it. open the bleeder valve while squeezing the lever all the was in, then close the bleeder valve & release the lever & pump them up
      you will have to do this multiple times to get all the air out. Male sure you keep the Reservoir full of brake fluid. Also when you're changing brake pads you don't actually chilly open any valves on the system. You just spread the brake pads back all the way apart take the pins out and put the new brake pads in and then reinstall the caliper and pump up the brakes.

    Main reason not to use auto oil, is they have friction reducers which cause any type of friction clutch to not work properly and wear out clutch plates. The Yamahas have a centrifugal clutch bathed in the oil behind the primary belt drive clutch as do suzukis and arctic cats (except the 650 twin kawi models)and require wet clutch compatible oils (same as motorcycle oil as they also use oil bathed clutches. Kawi, polaris, and can am use no wet clutch as they use snowmobile type belt drives and you can use auto type oils. Hondas, some yamahas and some suzukis use manual shift transmissions with centrifugal clutches and also require wet clutch compatible oil.

      JASO MA is the spec you want on the bottle of an oil for motor and gearbox with wet clutches. Some have it even not being specifically labeled for motorcycles or ATV’s so in a pinch we can find alternatives.

    Great video Aaron. I just changed by differential oil yesterday front and back. I went to put the high level plug in the rear diff. I went to put torque wrench on the bolt and the bolt kept spinning. When I removed the bolt again I noticed some of the threads in the bolt. Long story short do you have recommendations on tapping the hole. Just don’t want to get and chips in the oil. Would like your opinion on this please. Thanks. Brian

      You can try to put some grease on your drill bit & tap, then run a lot of diff fluid through it, then fill it & ride it & change the fluid again. But the best way it to actually take the diff out & take it a part then do the drilling & tapping.

    Great videos. I am about to purchase an exact same model but an 2006. When I went to check it out it smelled like burning oil when I initially started it up. No issues starting or running. My question is that normal to smell burning oil? I believe it was just on initial startup.

      Hey Shaun D. Thanks for checking out my channel. Now are you sure you smelled burning oil on start up? Sometime a rich gas smell at start up can fool ppl. Did I it smoke on start up? If so thay would be a sign of bad valve guid seals most likely. Is it possible that it had oil on the motor somewhere it could of burned up a little? But as to your question the smell up burning oil at start up isn't Normal but for the year it could be burning just a little oil. Remember you're buying almost a 17yr old unit.

    how do you bleed the air out of the cooling system once you change the coolant

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Adrian. The way I do it is with a coolant bleeder funnel kit. You can get them at any auto parts store. Fill it up with coolant. Start it up & just let it idle for a little bit then blip the throttle a few time & that should start getting the air Bubbles out. Let it run untill you don't see anymore air Bubbles. Then shut it off & let it sit with the bleeder kit full of coolant till it completely cools off. Then it should be completely bleed. Also make sure to fill the over flow res to just below the full line. Hope this Helps out.

    I have an 02 Grizzly 660 that I bought about 3 years ago. I haven’t driven it very much since I got it but am planning on getting it going soon. The previous owner put 5w-30 synthetic motor oil in it. I bought some Mobil 1 10w-30 synthetic motor oil to change it with. Is that ok to use? Or should I get something different?

    • @limitlesspowersportsservic3394
      @limitlesspowersportsservic3394  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey AMF96. Yeah that's perfectly OK to use as long as you drain out all the oil & change the oil filter. Also make sure you are using a ATV oil because it is formulated for atv. Car & motorcycle oil are different & have different detergents in them.
