- So i went back and played Transformers fall of Cybertron recently and I thought it would make a great video after it was suggested to me in a pub so i found a way to get my hands on and I'm glad I did...
Transformers fall of cybertron released way back in 2012 for the xbox 360 ps3 and pc and nothing else, yeah it's pretty old and is almost impossible to buy these days.
Does Transformers fall of cybertron hold up to todays standards though?
Does Transformers fall of cybertron even have a chance to take out the juggernauts of third person action games like uncharted or last of us or even jedi fallen order?
Is this the best transformers game ever made? How does the gameplay feel especially now due to it being 10 years old?
Is Transformers fall of cybertron really worth the hassle to buy it today?

The fact this is considered a classic game now makes 22 year old me feel... Old lol.

Despite the many contradictions to this Continuity of Transformers, u could say that Transformers Prime is actually a sequel to the Cybertron Games
Can’t even say could because it actually is a continuation of the fall of cybertron games. It’s called the aligned continuity
That show was so good. The only reason this video came up on my recommended on TH-cam is cause I’ve been binging Transformers Prime on TH-cam lmao
In addition there is a comic series that directly connects the two i think its called rage of the dinobots and there are some novels as well with them being exiles, exodus and retribution

I am a fan of the transformers since I was born! I can agree that the Cybertron games continuity was by far the best! The graphics, the gameplay, the story, soundtracks, and there are even more things in this game that are more than meets the eye.
The best part for me was the consistency, everything worked and the story plus gameplay are some of the best these games have to offer imo ;)
1:48 is my absolute favorite memory of this game. As soon as the doors open you just see all of your boys charge into battle only to see them all get gunned down. I remember constantly redoing this level just to save some of them and I tried so many tactics like absorbing the bullets or killing the bad guys before all my boys got gunned down. I forgot how good this game was.
They need to make a more up-to-date transformers like this where did all the good transformers game's go

Unlikely The original studio High moon which made both War and fall of Cybertron was disbanded by Activision when Deadpool the game failed and another studio under Activision made Rise of the dark spark which was not good.

Actually it was stated somewhere that WFC and FOC were both prequels to Transformers Prime. Even the characters overall designs are very similar. Even Shockwave's design is similar to his FOC design as he also makes references to the Dinobot experiments and attrocities he committed found in both games.
how the hell does a franchise go from epic and exciting to the netflix trilogy? Seriously this franchise is on life support.
How timely, the multiplayer servers for this game and its prequel, War for Cybertron, were revived a couple months ago. If you want an awesome Transformers multiplayer experience, this is the game for you.

Multiplayer servers still work ?
I've been a Transformers mega fan for quite some time now, I watched the animated Transformers movie when it first came out! Even have the sountrack. This is without a doubt the best Transformers game I've ever played. The graphics, gameplay, all are top notch.
Transformers Devastation comes pretty close though.

Something about the cybertron games just feels right, feels like transformers and feels like the developers really cared
Luckily, I was able to download Fall of Cybertron onto my PS4 before it was dropped and I've never gotten tired of the game. I am such a Transformers fan and to me, this is what a Transformers story should be. Epic, grand and action packed packed likeable heroes fighting an almost unstoppable Foe with nothing but grit and will. It's such a joyride and I love playing this game. Till all are one.

Played this game non stop when I was a kid. So glad it's getting some recognition.
As a fan since September 1984 (… Not a joke), it is so amazing to see how much love and effort has been put into the Transformers saga. It’s also really awesome to see how there seem to always be new fans.
The “Cybertron“ series is absolutely an amazing tribute to the fans. The more you know about Transformers, the more rewarding this game is. The fact that it is so “adult“ speaks to the fact that the original fans of transformers were children in 1984… And are now in their 40s. Transformers (Regardless of what was fabricated just to be a “toy commercial“) was always a war story, after all.
Hopefully, this will mean that there is still a bright future for the transformers saga in the continually improved storytelling, storytelling, video games (like war for Cybertron, fall of Cybertron, and devastation), and further improved movies that actually respect the intellectual property, as well as it devoted fans.

The WOC and FOC cybertron stories are amazing. Multiplayer was fun. Really hope they make more games focused on cybertron

I actually was one who pre-ordered the game. This game my all-time beloved game. I was Prime 100 in it, I had played Day 1, had the retro Optimus when I picked it up. Always loved playing Combaticons Combine, purchased all DLC's. I even got it on Steam before it was removed. I even remember the Cities in Dust trailer dropping I actually screamed in joy and hype.
Fall Of Cybertron is really the only game (excluding Roller Coaster Tycoon 3) I have so much fond memories of and have sentimental attachment to.

You can play multiplayer again, there is a small team named Transformers ReEnergized and basically what they did was revive the servers for the Cybertron games!

I remember on MP I played a Seeker, she was black and purple and I was like a fly that you couldn't swat away. I would make a full map rotation to pinch the enemy team and when id get spotted id just fly away. seekers weren't a popular class back then so I was like a crow pecking at the enemy
this game was my absolute childhood. it amazes me just how absolutely fuckin perfect this game is. absolutely everything about it tops pretty much every other game I've played. this has been for almost a decade and will always be my favorite game of all time.
By far my favorite transformers game to ever release
I remember playing the multiplayer on this game along with the escalation, I loved it all and the campaign was beautiful, I've played it so much that I have over 1million energon shards lmao
My 8 year old loves transformers. I got him an Xbox 360 E and both of these transformers games off ebay for him last xmas. It was a joy to watch him play both games from start to finish. These are great games and it's a shame the game publishers lost the rights.

I make it a habit to play this game and war for Cybertron at least once a year to remind myself why I still love this franchise, this was something special for me even after 10 years later, it will always be in my heart as one of the best transformers games and moments from my childhood

Love these games so much. As a kid I’d rent these 2 games from my Library and keep them for months before dropping them off again to empty my late fees so I could lay low and rent them again in 2 weeks. Absolute shame I can’t find them on PC
great vid, love this game. if your itching for some more Transformers I have to recommend Transformers devastation it is the last good Transformers game to come out. and just like the Cybertron series you can only get second-hand copies of it but it is amazing. if you haven't played it I definitely recommend giving it a go.
The Multiplayer is actually Back Up, it's from a Community known as Transformers: reenergized and basically all multiplayers from the Transformers Games over the years are working again thanks to them.
I bought a digital copy on Amazon and it went straight to my steam library. Jumping back in after playing it so long ago on the 360 felt incredible!
Man you have no idea how much I love both FoC and WFC, I wish I could get my 360 back or get a Xbox one copy. The multiplayer in FoC was amazing and an experience I couldn't replicate from other transformers games other than, devastation, and modern fps games.
Don't even get me started on the end credits, as a kid they grew up watching the g1 series it was a real hit of nostalgia hearing stan bush again, a real testament showing how much high moon actually cared for the game and not just make a quick cash grab from transformers fans. A shame what happened between them and Hasbro, I can only imagine what they would've done with the transformers games in the current year.

This is a game that sets out knowing exactly what it wants to do, and then executing on exactly that and not worrying about anything else. A focus that lots of games lack now in an 'Open World' everything era.
the online from this game was really fun, creating your own Transformer was a child dream come true, and the fact that we could choose to be a vehicle or having an animal form or insect was really REALLY cool...
The online is back on PS3/PC!
this game was awesome and multiplayer for it aswell was so good, i spent 100+ hrs into this game mostly multiplayer because that was where it shined most, but other games was taking it over with more main stream multiplayer, honestly if people still played this today, i would jump back into it without question, this game and its online was highly underrated and i wished it had a better following, the fact i could transform from tank to dino in a multiplayer game sold it for me
Jesus Christ, the moment I heard the trailer music I started crying. I used to play this game back when I was less than 10 years old, I’m glad I grew up with this and wfc instead of something more basic like cod, still hoping that there’s a chance even if it’s a small one this series comes back

The VGA Cinematic Trailer for Fall of Cybertron is actually the continuation of the game’s ending. Although we couldn’t see the actual end of the War itself, but you can get a pretty good closure of what happened right after Bumblebee attacked Megatron.

One of my favorite games. Wish they would re release it. Perfect representation of what transformers should be
Here's a fun fact they rereleased this game for the XBONE (don't know if any other system got it) the game was basically dead at launch cause there was no marketing/fanfare. A year or two later the servers were down and you could buy it on the store because Activision sold away the license because "license games weren't selling anymore". To be fair there was plenty of other licensed games that caused this decision but they didn't even try to make this rerelease a success.
I will never forget my memories of playing this and War for Cybertron with my friends back when I was pre-teen/teen. Trust me if you never broke out of the map on WFC Escalation and FOC multiplayer you missed out.

I played both war for and fall of cybertron. As a kid (still am but a little older) this game and the prequel were always sick and it was fun playing through it all. A desperate war. You can only look at both sides and think that they both arent bad or good. In this game decepticons arent being bad to be bad, they've run out of supplies and dont know what to do. Its just fun overall
You can actually replay the multiplayer. The transformers re-energized project is working and the objective was to make an online server to play escalation and multiplayer.
After I uploaded this and saw some comments I looked it up and that is just awesome

Good old days still play it sometimes had it on my account since 2018 but I used to play it on my brothers when we had it on disc and a Xbox 360
If you like Fall of Cybertron try out War for Cybertron. Its older but extremely similar. I like the story and environments in WFC more but they're both 2 of my favorite games.

One of my favourite games of that generation. War for and Fall of are such overlooked beauties. Fall of Cybertron being the last great transformers game is at least fitting given it plays like a greatest hits compilation
This game started the big fan of transformers in me. It was very fun to play and see it was very mind blowing to see the cutscenes as it was cool.
I remember doing horrible with the car like mods in multiplayer but really killing it with the flyers
You should review the multiplayer mode. And I agree, this is what TFs should be.

Have you played the multiplayer? The servers have been back up under a fan project since this summer. Also, if you managed to get DLC with the game, you'll be able to create dinobot characters in multiplayer.
I love both this and WFC. I do prefer WFC, but the nods to G1, great story, and designs won me over. I replayed it way too many times on my 360 and eventually on PS4 (rip)

2022 still have it...still play it!!! A great Transformers game with great designs, that pays homage to the G1 series. One of the best intros of all time.
Those og transformers movies are great. Also they are meant for kids and families. And they succeeded so clearly people enjoy them
The Fall of Cybertron community has been trying for a few years to get some third party servers for the multiplayer to work and they have succeeded about 2 months ago to get it going.
I remember having G1 Optimus in the multiplayer. Good times.
The multiplayer was insanely solid. I played it SO much when I was younger. I loved it so much and tbh really miss it.

This will forever be my favourite game. I used to play the hell out of this as a kid on my old xbox 360. I then sold the game to gamestop after my xbox broke which I wish I never sold the game.

I played this game when it first came out and loved it so much it really resparked my love for transformers (no pun intended) i recently discovered transformers prime is a really good show and watching it has made me want to replay this game. Seriously, how has there been no remaster for both War and Fall.??

I think you can still buy copies on eBay etc but for outrageous prices unfortunately

Ah, this game, had it for the 360, still do even, have had it for years though I don't remember when or how I came across it. My game for the most part plays perfectly fine, it has a bit of damage which sometimes crashes the game at certain points but those are very few and predictable so easy to avoid, it's a great game all around and the intro pre rendered cutscene is something I wasn't expecting to see done so well for such a random ass game like this, i still think the visuals hold up and bet they were top notch at it's release whenever that was
for those interestedf it actually IS now possible to play the multiplayer for this game and WFC. The community has recently managed to get servers back online and its been a blast! If anyone is interested in playing escalation or multiplayer again like the good ole days, just look up Transformers ReEnergized, get set up, and roll out. ;)

I repurchased the game recently. Really just an amazing game in general, especially now that the multiplayer servers are back up. EDIT: A lot of people have been asking, so to answer your question: I found a used copy of it on a random website and had it shipped to me. I'm pretty sure they don't *actually* make the game anymore, so your best chance is to look at some sites and find a used copy I think.

It's a fan project that managed to bring servers back up for PC and PS3. Look up "Transformers Reenergized," they also brought online back for WfC and some other Transformers games.
This game is part of the aligned continuity which is a huge conglomerate of transformers media so the story does actually continue through some books and shows.
I used to have both the original games on the ps3 and they were AMAZING. I really wish someone remastered it with better graphics and rereleased it on the ps4/ps5
