I've just got the CX version, and it's great, I've also removed the removable pocket clip,, it now seems a very handy edc tool,
I've already got the Charge AL, and very rarely use it, because it's very heavy and bulky,.
I think it's well worth the extra, to get the CX Skeletool, rather than the basic one,,
ps, the CX is close to £100 (127dollars) over here in England, and it's illegal to carry outside your own property,, 😱😱

I have the CX with the supposed better blade. Nope. Totally blunt everytime. I bought a KB with a serrated blade to replace the remains of the old blade. My two cents. By the way, I live in Holland, and here the Skeletool costs about $140

The blade on this looks terrible like one of the gas station knives you see on Nick Shabazz's terrible knives reviews. What were they thinking of? Where I am these cost the equivalent of $100 and we can't even legally carry them. The CX has a decent blade made from a reasonably good steel though but that's even more expensive. If I want to spend that kind of money on a multitool which I can't legally EDC I'll get a Swisstool/Spirit.

I like the over all shape, but the serrations suck

@@matthewblankowski2265 Illegal to carry in public without ''valid reason'' yes, because it has a locking blade. We can only EDC non-locking folding knives with blades no longer than 3 inches. I'm in the UK. Could be worse in the Republic of Ireland they can't carry anything, not even a tiny Victorinox Classic keychain knife. Before you say how terrible that is remember that in the USA you have similar or even stricter restrictions in some states and cities, New York springs to mind for example. It's only a pain in the ass because it severely limits us on carrying multitools, there are plenty of good folding slipjoint knives I carry, from traditional thru SAK to modern slipjoints like Spyderco, Manly etc. Also the ''valid reason'' thing is kind of hazy...so I actually do often carry my locking bladed Leatherman Rebar in my bicycle repair kit/tool pouch, which is in another bag. I figure in the extremely unlikely event that law enforcement took an interest in it, I'd be able to justify it as ''valid reason'' and they'd see it's not readily accessible to use as a weapon. The problem is we have a lot of knife crime here in England, especially in the cities, but it's young guys and they use cheap kitchen knives anyway. No self respecting ''roadman'' would carry a Leatherman to stab someone.

I really enjoy my Skeletool as a truck driver. The serrations are necessary for cutting straps and work well in my opinion.
