My mom made blinds for a living. She used to do this but she would just take the bottom slat out and move it up to replace the broken one. Works good if you don't drop your blinds all the way
I was thinking about stealing the bottom slat. Most of the time it seems like blinds are just a little bit too long anyway, so I doubt it would be noticeable.
Thank you !! Very clear directions. Our cat got tangled in the bathroom blind ....strung himself thru it and wove and dangled himself across the slats and climbed up it, hung around for fun then broke 5 ! We wondered what the scrabbling sound was :)) Blind now fixed thanks to you 👍
Thank you. I don't have replacement slats, but I think I can get them from the bottom, since the blinds are longer than I need. If they still sold these, I'd just buy new, but it's a different style of attachment, and this is easier than changing that.
@Apartment Maintenance You are exactly the man to answer my question that maintenance can not!!! I was given long vertical slats for my patio door. But they were bent from sitting outside in triple digits. How would you suggest I get the kinks out? Please and thank you so much

@IFLTW you release the blinds to hang lower than the window sill or place a TV tray or similar under them. remove the clip and continue with rest of his instructions

you're doing so much extra work. you didn't have to remove the blinds and it's easier to do if the blinds are still hanging
How would you remove the clip if they’re still hanging. I guess it would depend on whether the blinds are in the sill or out of the sill.
