Would retrofitting an AAV (Air Admittance Valve) onto the 1st floor fixture (for its venting) eliminate the wet venting code violation that began when the 2nd floor fixture was added?

So if you're building a slab on grade house, or a house up on piers and there's no crawlspace or basement, where should you put the plumbing cleanouts for a bathroom, laundry and kitchen?

Typically they go through the exterior walls in the case... But it's not ideal.

My house from 1880 is just 3 stories on the same stack, all wet vented.

Yes that’s the case, well was the case. Corroded 4”cast iron. Just interesting to see old plumbing techniques.

I agree with Brian and wouldn't worry about it unless you're having problems.

what is the proper way to connect 2nd floor DWV plumbing to 1st floor DWV plumbing if you can't connect to stack vent?

They're making me add a 2nd 3 inch line... They won't let me tie a toilet and shower into a 3" vent... 😮 It sucks...
Ipc code here, but I'm still unsure of the reason 100%

@@DontLookBehindYou1 they will not allow you, because the drain fixture value will be greater than the diameter of existing drain pipe and fixtures.
