Kohler Sinks Need Special Sink Clamps

When I recently renovated my kitchen I had a used Kohler sink that I needed to find sink clips for. Nowhere could I find information concerning the type of clips needed for a Kohler sink. So after some digging I found the right clips and decided to share the information with everyone.

Thank you so much for your video. I bought a used (looks brand new) sink and had no clue how to install the clips. I used vise grips. Tightening was quite the challenge. If I ever need another sink I will look at the clips before I purchase. Thank you for your video.

Use a small flathead screw driver to lift the rail up just a tad bit in order to make the clips attach easier. Hope this helps.

The real challenge with the Kohler sink clips is tightening them. In most installations there is little room at the front and back for a wrench. Kohler should be shipping a long socket with the sink to tighten these poorly design clips. I will not be installing a Kohler sink again unless this is fixed.

That is exactly the same counter top I installed, with an old Kohler sink. Looking for clips for the antique sink. Gonna brush the stainless sink to new quality.

Try cutting some strips of wood to put between the clamps and the counter. Maybe stack some paint stirring strips from the hardware store.

Yes, they're needed to pull the sink tight to the counter so that a seal is made.
