- We initially wanted to go on a one day camping trip to test out a few products but unfortunately the day before we supposed to leave my wife hurt her back from work. So we decided to just head up to Big Bear and do a relaxing easy fun day exploring a few trails nearby. We wanted to go from the Angelus Oak side into Big Bear via the Wild horse meadow trail but the road getting there was closed. So we decided to just go explore Holcomb Valley again as it's one of the easiest fun trail with tons of places to see and explore. If you have a AWD or 2WD this trail is for you.

Very nice. I can't wait until it snows in Holcomb this Winter! Love me some deep snow wheeling!
Let me know if you have one going...I love that area to snow wheeling.
@@Michael_Tran Will definitely!
Great video Michael! I have 245/65r17s Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails on my Rav4 and they are great. I would highly recommend them.
Thank you...that's the size I've been eyeing...what wheels did you go with? How's the mpgs afterwards?
I have Bronze LP Aventure LP1 17" rims. I get about 19 city and 22 hwy. However I have a roof mounted spare tire. I also have a 2016/ 4th gen with a regular automatic transmission. You should do alot better with your CVT and hybrid powertrain. Nathan from Northwoods Performance says he only lost 1 mpg going from 225s to 245s. Good luck! Looking forward to seeing what you choose 🤙
Awesome..thanks for the infos. Definitely was helpful.

I second the choice of a falken AT trails, I got 235.65 17 with the XL load rating gives us stiffer sidewall and that much more resistance to punctures. I didn't go 245 to still keep my fuel economy good. I'm up in Canada and they're great in the winter and great for mild off-roading, highly recommend
Looks like an awesome time!
Awesome area to explore
Cool video can you share location coordinates?
We basically found a spot along Holcomb meadow...but there's so much cool spots along this trail.
@@Michael_Tranhi, I want to go here in April.. do I need to get a pass or permit to park on a spot like you did? Just to chill for a bit and have a meal and pack up
No pass needed...yea it's all just forest service road. As long as you're away from the main road it's fine to park and enjoy.@@MaxMae-xh8ke
What GPS app do you use?
When im on the trail Gaia gps...but I have 4 different ones when I research trails, reviews and photos of trails.
