Marion was not incompetent at all in the first film. She was kind of a damsel, but she only found trouble due to her proximity to Indy. She was also tough as nails.
Yeah, her only problem is simply that she wasn’t given much to do in the movie. Fairly solid character with very little opportunity to actually contribute. When you realize Indi's whole life was trying to get his father's acknowledgment, which is why he won't give up the treasures he found. But when his father called him by his name instead of "junior" and tell him to stop, Indi finally stopped and found what he was looking for.
Many comments about Marion but noone mentions the fact, that the "grave robber" who gave Indi his hat in 1912, was originally supposed to be Abner Ravenwood, Marions father.

The final location, where they find the Holy Grail, is the tomb of Al-Khazneh meaning "The Treasury" in Arabic. It's one of many structures carved into and from the pink sandstone of the ancient city of Petra in modern day Jordan.
What you thought was in Egypt is actually Petra, Jordan. This is the real site of the ancient civilization. They have many monuments there, including the one you saw.
This one’s my favorite Indy movie too! The father-son story, the religious themes… they really ended on a high note when people thought this would be the last Indiana Jones movie
Even with my disdain of Donovan and Elsa as villains and Indy repeatedly punching the Nazi guy on the tank so many times (literally 5-6 times) with the scene feeling like a Tom & Jerry/Wile E. Coyote Roadrunner cartoon, the funny and emotional moments with Indiana Jones and his father, Henry Jones Sr. were without a doubt the best parts in the film.
While I saw part 4, I've erased it from my memory and 5 I didn't even bother to watch, so as far as I'm concerned there was only ever 3 films in this franchise. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

7:54 that is General Veers from The Empire Strikes Back (in command of the giant walkers during the battle of Hoth in the snow), and the Grand Maester from Game of Thrones.
“No ticket!”
The final location, where they find the Holy Grail, is the tomb of Al-Khazneh meaning "The Treasury" in Arabic. It's one of many structures carved into and from the pink sandstone of the ancient city of Petra in modern day Jordan.
Indiana Jones: "I can just reach the artifact!"
Howard Hamlin: "Well, maybe there are more important things."
What you thought was in Egypt is actually Petra, Jordan. This is the real site of the ancient civilization. They have many monuments there, including the one you saw.
At the end one of the german soldiers really said: Don't move, this is a stickup!
Petra, one of the 7 wonders of the world is close to Egypt, it's east in the country of Jordan.
River Phoenix as Young Indie is a total match. 🤍
May he rest in peace.
4:16: That was meant to explain Harrison Ford’s real-life scar.
Young Indy became Belloq, just with his idol's leather jacket instead of a tailored suit. A shadowy reflection indeed.
The Grail shrine is the Treasury in Petra Jordan.
“Ew! Gotta drink his blood? I will pass!”
So, not Catholic, I’m guessing.
I see similarities between Sean Connery's character in this film and Jar Jar Binks in their child-like innocence and clumsiness which always proves fortuitous. Prove me wrong internet!
Ugh! Blasphemer! 😂
The pen was an old fashioned type where the ink was siphoned into the pen from an ink bottle, rather than a cartridge. By reversing the siphon, the ink can be squirted out.
The real templeis called Petra. It is in Southern Jordan.
Now Kingdom of the Cristal Skull... 😊
That's a common story, first they have sex and then someone gets screwed.
The dog in the 1912 opening sequence was the famous Indiana.
I too have pet rats. They are awesome pets abd are very smart. They are named, Grogu and JarJAr (I actually liked JarJar). This was my favorite Indy movie. I love Sean Connery as his dad. The light heartedness of this movie i think is what I like about it.
Wishing Alyska a happy post-marriage life. Looking forward to her next stage in life... being a awesome mum. Remember, stay mindful to stay appreciative of the little moments in life. That's how newlyweds stave of blues if any arise.
That is actually how we say goodbye in Germany. Large gatherings frequently end in a brawl.
My personal favourite of all the Indiana Jones films. So glad to see your reaction.
Love when something silly or funny happens and you look at us.
My favourite indy crusade reaction ever Alyska was funny in the reaction and genuine shocked Also some observations Alyska noticed that I hadnt made me feel like I was watching it for the first time Fabulous girl
So, what a lot of people miss about the X on the floor is that its almost invisible if you look at it from the side on Ground Level, you would have to be above it to see the Shape.
I saw this in the theater with my brothers. We all has a great time. But it's been a long time since I sat through the whole movie.
How could you cut out the “Indiana let it go” bit? One of the best moments in the whole film!
16:10 not paper, a wax rub as he said.
Petra does exist and looks like that on the outside, you can visit it. But, the inside was a set and doesn't look like that.
YAY! Thank you for making me smile watching it with you on here. This made my day.
37:44: The Nazi who gets squirted with ink in the eye was Nick Gillard, stunt and fight coordinator for the Star Wars prequels.
Pretty sure most scholars agree that the Holy Grail was never a Christian artifact, rather an adaptation of a Celtic or Pictish myth about a cauldron that could produce limitless supplies of cooked food (does the name Daghda ring any bells?).
This movie just goes to whole new level as soon as Sean Connery makes his appearance.
Knew Last Crusade would be Alyska's favorite of the trilogy because of the fact Alison Doody makes a good of a villain as she is beautiful.
Father and son adventure! Couldn’t be any better!
Beautiful film... full of esoteric and historical messages. The whole saga is beautiful
Riding off into the sunset, the perfect end to the trilogy... I know you're likely going to watch at least the next one, but just remember this ending.
27:29 Oh my, was it the moustache?
you should watch King Kong (2005)
Yes that's right, planes underneath a Zeppelin was totally a thing. The more you know....
The templedoor in the end is Petra in Jordan.
One of the most filmed ancient buildings.
Also.... Allways wish someone should have waved when that poor pilot who got the wings knocked off and passed them in the tunnel
You keep noticing how Indy desecrated graves, destroyed ancient sites, etc.
You should know by now, that he constantly destroys ancient sites and shows little respect for the dead.
If he were an actual archeologist in the real world, he would be one of the most notorious for his wanton destruction of relics, graves and sites in the world.
...makes a good movie though. :)
Maybe he would be more careful if there weren't people trying to kill him constantly. Or kill his friends, or kidnap his family, or...
The long intros are classic and give the film a nice atmosphere
Another really good Sean Connery adventure movie is The Man Who Would Be King with Michael Caine.
That is one of my favorite movies.
Rats are fluffy...and therefore cute..
