This interview just shows how much the ability to control the narrative in a conflict, is crucial.
The Palestinians didn't succeed in imposing their narrative and as a result they were completely dehumanized in the west and their needs overlooked for decades yet, if we choose to look just at the plain facts, these people were brutally ousted of their land, overnight, to permit the creation of a Jewish state. How is that fair ?
I can't begin to fathom why Arabs of all people, had to pay for European crimes toward Jews ?
To this day, Palestinians are slauthered, bombarded, persecuted ... simply because they are Palestinians and want a Palestinian state.
It is a sinister irony of History that the descendants of Holocaust survivors managed to create another Holocaust.

British came up with this idea: to get rid of jews, pin them against arabs, control the region, resources and the Suez Canal. Palestinians don't even feature anywhere in this. No one was counting on them. And remember how they were erased from the narrative: a land without PEOPLE...there are no people, so there's no humanitarian crisis..later that was translated into terrorists and now latest into rats.

Without spilling blood, no fight is a fight. Without carrying on a relentless battle, life turns burdensome.
When the fight ceases to exist, the urge to surrender creeps in. However, surrender itself is nothing less than humiliation.
So to live a life with guts is way better than carry forward a life of humiliation.

I grew up in Australia watching 60 minutes for years. The reporter that interviewed Kanafani is Richard Carleton, he was a presenter on 60 minutes for a long time until his death in the mid 2000s. I remember watching this interview a long time ago but never knew that it was Richard Carleton that interviewed Kanafani. It’s become quite iconic that the poor questions from Carleton has led to such legendary responses from Kanafani.

why were there so many revolutionaries in 1960s? almost all the most prominent activists are from that era the interviews from then are so powerful. why dont we have anything like that now?

Falasteen will teach America what it has turn it back on أ عطني الحرية أعطني الموت
    “Give me liberty or give
me death " the words of Patrick Henry, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and the first governor of Virginia. A gifted orator and major figure in the American Revolution, his rousing speeches- which included a 1775 speech to the Virginia legislature in which he famously declared, "Give me liberty, or give me death!"-fired up America's fight for independence.

🙏❤️‍🔥 A blessed soul. A prophet. Dignity, respect, and human rights. Two commandments of Allah/God: 1. Love one's self (in order to) 2. Love one's neighbour, brother, sister. If disrespected in any way, go back to the first commandment, whereby thought, emotion, and action become one movement, under Allah and over the oppressor.
