Alejandro, youve made me cry the most beautiful, life affirming tears since i first heard you at my work place, Johnny D's in Cambridge, MA back in 98'. You sat at the bar with me after and shared of yourself, just as you do on stage. You are a humble giant among human beings and the world needs to hear your compassionate clarion call. Its not just Some who are sinking into oblivion, it is We All. I Love You so much. I love all of humanity, no matter the imperfections. We must not concede to Hate. My God I Love You my Brother....Blessings and THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!!!
I just him last night at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis. Your description as a humble giant is on the mark. Alejandro sings from the heart and pulls on you. Alejandro shares the his life.
Day-um! Doesn't get any better than this. What a rich, full sound this band provides. And Alejandro is one of America's greatest songwriters and performers.
Music trivia is probably my 3rd favorite thing in the world. New info is always appreciated. I think I saw this guy open for Jesse Malin or someone when I went to a show in NYC many years ago.
I googled both their names and it was Jesse Malin that I saw him with. I knew I had heard of him before this and couldn't place it. Then again I am reading more about him and wondering if I saw him open a Ryan Adams show since he played with his old band "Whiskeytown".
@@robertm4050 I had the distinct privilege of seeing Alejandro probably more than 12 or 15 years ago here in St Petersburg Florida, at the Texas Songwriters Festival I believe it was. He's s absolutely amazing. He's incredible live. Jesse Malin I just ran across, I was coming home one night and heard him on Sirius and for some reason I couldn't figure out if it was a guy or a girl, because he sounds just like Lucinda. And then a couple seconds later in the same song, I hear distinctly, Lucinda's voice. His new album with Lucinda producing it, is nothing short of amazing. Three gear artists.
@@DGMarbleguy I saw him a bunch of times over the years. I saw him in NYC for an album release and they were filming a scene for "Weeds" and he called me out during filming since he thought I was a friend of his. He has/had a bar in "Alphabet City/NYC" and I have met him and a ton of other musicians there. Got to hang out with his band while watching them on Letterman that they performed on earlier in the day. Okay enough of my memory lane, but check out his older stuff it is my favorite.
It's just 4/4. The confusion might be because they sometimes anticipate on the downbeat and play it on the last eighth of the measure. You can basically count in four throughout the whole song.
@@DaveBits It's 4/4 in the chorus, but in the verse it's definitely not. It doesn't sound like 7/8 to me but if you listen to the bass drum and the repetitive phrasing it's sections of 14 beats.
How about some Goldfinger, voodoo glow skulls, rancid, static x, Rob zombie, Korn, sevendust, hed pe, Slipknot, Tool, Rage against the machine, Dollie Parton, etc..
