Approximation using chebyshev (PART I)||CALCULATION OF ORDER OF CHEBYSHEV I FILTER

The form for the magnitude squared of the frequency-response function for the Chebyshev filter is
|T(jω)|^2=1/(1+(ϵ^2*Cn(ω))^2)
where Cn(ω) is an Nth-order Chebyshev polynomial and ϵ is a parameter that controls the ripple size called ripple factor.
The passband exhibits equiripple behavior, with the ripple determined by the ripple factor . In the passband, the Chebyshev polynomial alternates between -1 and 1 so the filter gain alternate between maxima at G = 1 and minima at G=sqrt(1/(1+ϵ^2))
