for those that were having the copy merge and not pasting issue, there is a permission prompt that asks you if you can allow photopea to access the clipboard, you'll have to allow it, but it still did not work, I then saved my work as PSD to my PC, I closed then opened photopea again with the permissions set, loaded my project then it worked.

Following up on that, I wanted to know if it would be possible to do something like create an animated gif of those background hexes and have them spin or rotate while still being transparent? I thought of this as I was falling asleep as a possibility for my project but I feel like I’d have to go all the way back to the mask step and I’m not sure how that would work with an animated gif.
What software would be used to create animated overlays? I was *sad* when I found out that this isn't animated instead is just a video running in the background.

Sorry I love you but I got all this done it took me all day to figure it out.... got to the part with with copy and make a flat layer (not the easy part where you make it all in one folder) then copy merged and paste and boop nothing happened, then went on to make it a Mask following your instructions and boop nothing again. Not at all happy
@@ksgaming820 i think we either missed out something or there was a pre-empted input that was a default and the latest version we had is a new patch and it override the old settings which was at that time.
Quite possibly the most frustrating experience of my life. For every 5 steps you do, 1 step does not match up with what is happening on my screen. I get that you understand what your'e saying, but from someone who has never done this, photopea is not user friendly at all. "Add permissions"( How?) "Multiple Layers Selected" (can't edit). Whenever I get to the masking part the entire thing goes white and it’s not checkered at all. What am I doing wrong?
Your background image might still be locked, click on the lock icon to remove it, then make sure it's added in the group you are masking

If you have issues with the overlay like i did . you have to reexport the overlay with transparent background . you welcome lol
