  • Wasn't planning on doing a tutorial style video, but had fun with it anyway! I wish i had a proper stick cam for the whole thing but I think you get the idea :)
These are just things that I've worked on that I think made a positive difference, but of course everyone is different.

I think DVR for tutorial vids is better than HD cam. Very few fly using HD cam, so seeing what stuff looks like through DVR is I think more useful.

You’re the guy I wanna learn how to fly like. Way too many dudes focus on how many flips and rolls they can do in 5 seconds and tbh it really spoils the ‘viewing experience’. Like.. “I get it bro, you can fly”.
Anyways man, this video helps a lot. I’m trying to learn how to film smooth footage with a 5” for the channel. Everyone says it can’t be done. I consider you a mentor and I’m determined to prove them wrong.

YES. This is what i needed. I'm at the point in my skill progression where I can do most tricks and am now focused on stringing them together smoothly and this video really helps someone like who is trying to break through the intermediate to advance pilot barrier.

      Your actually 💯% Correct.
The GoPro (Stabilizes) the footage to an extent so you don't get the actual RAW Flight footage without playing back the Plain Jane DVR Recordings.
it works extremely well for tutorials as long as the image quality stays up to a reasonable par.

Definitely 3 excellent tips to put a pilot on the road to better freestyle footage! Sometimes they do take more of a conscious effort to overcome, especially when that concrete pillar is getting closer and closer. The urge to correct and re-correct is hard to ignore while learning the flight characteristics and capabilities of your quad.

Another nice video. Session low battery and no battery conditions are commonplace for me too. My wife and I use a Romoss 10mah spare battery to charge the Session with; it has both 1A and 2A ports so you can charge the Session really fast in the field. 5min charge for enough juice to get a good flight in the middle of the mountains. You remind me I need another.

Wow! Great flying for all thumbs. Great reminders I can work on. I noticed when I started flying hybrid my flying was easier after a week. Some people are very steady with the thumbs though.

Im glad your president at this present time, i think your methodologies and understandings of the sport and hobby will be much needed to ensure we go in the right direction. Thanks for your hard work, its not going unrecognized.

Definitely will when i get a chance to try out the new thought processes. I was trying to power out of split S's sooner but ended up just pushing into the tree instead of dropping to the gap area. i don't think i was aiming/pulling out as well as i should have been. at any rate, this has given me a good bit to think on adn practice in the simulator while i'm waiting for my replacement parts. I can't wait for a part 2

Well said! Something everybody goes through or constantly improves while gaining practice.
