I used a second set of those quick release pins and that’s how I believe it should come. The instructions and pictures show them used in both spots so I figured what the heck…lol!

Your truck looks just like my old truck. I traded it in on a 2500 4x4 which is why I need the ladder! Lol😂

Once you attached mounting plate to tailgate did you have any conflict with screws hitting internal linkage of tailgate?
I was wondering the same thing but apparently he didn't.
