I've never bought anything from harbor freight that I didn't like. Hammers, wrenches , sockets, air tools, Jack's, blades, I even love my green chair. I've gotten casters, solid wheels for my hand trucks. Been nothing but pleased. I've gotten them cheap files does a great job on little things like putting an edge on a hoe or edge or shovel. Mattic. I haven't bought and cordless drills anything like that. Welders etc. I have gotten the accessories they work fine. I got the tire changer . Love it. Saves me money. Liked it so much I got two. I work them both. One here are home. The other I made a bracket so it can fit on my 2 in receiver hitch when I go off road in the woods. Times like that is a life saver.
Cool. I have a bunch of ratchets from HF and they have all held up great. A HF Pittsburg 25" breaker bar ($15 on sale) just saved my butt on a strut replacement. My impact took the upper 22mm bolt out of the knuckle but could not budge the lower one. The breaker bar deflected like 6-8" but did break bolt loose.
I buy from HF all the time and have been impressed by many of the purchases I have made my personal favorite is the Hercules 12" dual bevel sliding compound miter saw followed by their impact socket sets and even the dead blow hammers I have the 1 and 3 as well
Those oversized drill bits are awesome I have them work great I have almost all the same tools you have bought mine at Harbor Freight as well no complaints.
Just as a tip.... If you want a USA made hammer, get a Trusty Cook hammer. They make hammers for Snap On. Same hammer for way cheaper price. The Pittsburgh pro 25 inch breaker bar is a great tool.
They make Marcos and napa hammers. Snap on hammers are a bit different, and trusty cook doesn't make a brass hammer. Main reason why I went with snappy.
Snap on makes their own hammers. Trusty cooks are good hammers and they do produce them for a lot of other companies. Also can't beat buying their blemish hammers off the website. Dirt cheap and generally can't tell what the issue was.
HF has those cheap claw hammers with fiber handles. I can't believe they haven't made a ball peen hammers in that style. Seems like they would sell a ton in the various sizes.

If you buy something like a hammer on the tool truck you have more money than sense. You can go to harbor freight or northern tool and get 1 of every hammer they have for the price of one off the tool truck
michael moore I’ve had mine for a while and it is good and has held up well. I have no complaints. Even used the dead blow as a pry bar, that’s a whole other story and a bad day. It’s been great!

My Snap-on dead blow hammer has a broken handle and a broken striking face. 160+ miles round trip to find a truck. Once I do get it replaced by some miracle, it will be HF forever.
The Brass SnapOn hammer for 80 bucks is ridiculously expensive my Dad had a solid Brass round stock that was a inch and a half diameter by a foot long and we used that for years to beat the crap out of things you didn’t want to ruin like a threaded bolt or a stud my Dad just called it the Brass Drift and we pounded on it with a small Sledge or a large ball Peen Hammer I’ll bet that Drift was 5 lbs of Brass BTW we restored Antique British Sports cars and old Boats using that Drift to Loosen up Brake Drums and corroded Outdrives
there are tons of tools at Harbor Freight that are good quality... you just need to know your tools and how to identify quality ... I shop there all the time...
Wish HF carried dead blow ball peens. I think they would sell a ton of them. I don't have it, but the HF brass hammer looks pretty good to me. May get one at some point.
Been machining for about 50 years, never needed a left hand drill. I can't even think why anyone would ever need one. Left hand taps yes. That is fairly common. Now if you're going to tell me you have to drill with a left hand drill to use a left hand tap maybe I could learn something!

I had a cheap import hammer chip and cut my cheek once, now I won't touch a hammer that's not American made which means vintage or generally Vaughan for new. Vaughan, council tools, and Barco industries are inexpensive enough to put HF hammer shaped objects out of the question. The Grace brass hammers aren't much more than the HF imports too. I get it, but if you familiarize yourself with enough brands that many people might not have even heard of you can find that some American made stuff isn't priced too out of the range of HF.

The 36 inch prybar for 20 bucks can't be beat. It has a lot less flex than the snap-on. Broke the back end of the handle after 6 years but not a deal breaker. Pittsburgh impact sockets, very good quality and the price can't be beat. My impact gun is rated at 1200 lbs and I've only broken 2(the 2 I use the most) in 6.5 years. Lifetime guarantee but if I lose one I can buy the set for less than one snappy socket

You're better off going to a hardware store. HF hammers are junk, especially the deadblows.

Soak the loose head hammer in antifreeze will swell wood and won't dry out

That mini Sledge was pretty much new when I broke the head clean off after a few strikes. I'll be going with a different one next time.

Left hand bits are used to drill broken bolts out. Sometimes they catch and back the broken bolt out before using an ez out.
