    Yo bro this is amazing. I am a fairly new producer and for the past couple of months I've been watching and learning from many youtube producers and I am always appreciative of people teaching the less experienced students of music and producing. But this lesson is something that I never realized I needed. Your comments on modern hook and verse arrangement is pure genius. Amazing work bro. You earned a new subscriber. All blessings 🙏

    A lot of producers make “help” videos so they can say they did it, or for the views. But hands down you’re one of the few that actually spend time HELPING in detail, even down to the keybinds you use. So it’s easy to see that you genuinely wanna help rather than keep your gems to yourself ( like make unique, which I didn’t know existed till today). And that actually transfers over to sales because I seriously believe that you deserve my money for the amount of help I received. AWESOME JUST AWESOME‼️‼️💯🙌🏾👏🏾ps. I love your hi-hat midis they’re so clean

    I started making beats in 2002 and used the mpc2000xl, mpc 2500, and then the maschine. Always structured my songs in the box and never in a daw. Just recently started tracking the basic beat out from maschine into my daw (ableton live) and structuring it into a song just like you do here... such a better workflow! I’m enjoying this way so much more.

    I just literally laid out my first beat to this video, took me a min, but I did it. I appreciate it G. It'll be dope if u could create a video explaining beat structure, such as 8, 12, and 16 bar verses, along with 4 and 8 bar hooks. I know u gave some explanation here, but I was hoping you would go deeper with explaining the different structures.

    thanx a lot! appreciate the good education...as a total noob to fl studio i became overwhelmed by the the browser so now i know how to autohide it (still too much info goin on at the same time in that part i think =) and i also had a really hard time to grasp the workflow (dont know why maybe because i only used atari 520ST ages ago with the simple trackers they used then...) and how to use different patterns, sequences and tracks/playlist together ;( maybe your alt way works better for me...have you allways done that way? could you do one session of the workflow from scratch doin this one pattern and just sequencer workflow?

    What do you do if you have very few elements? For example, I often end up with a kick, hi hats, a snare, a melody instrument, maybe pads, and a bass line. In this video, it seems like you had a piano and multiple bells in addition to all of the drum sounds, so how can I add and remove elements without making it too repetitive if I have less instruments? Thank you for the great video.

    Are 808s and kicks the same? Whats the difference?

    • @CamiloCastanedaa
      @CamiloCastanedaa 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      808s are like basses that stay in the low end of your song. Kicks are for rhythm, there's usually more of them and they have a bit of high end so they can be heard through all channels. Some artist dont use kicks but its up to you.
