After 175 miles, mine has been getting 13 mpg. I go between sport and Auto…..mostly sport mode tho lol. Driving this truck is by far the best experience I have had in any vehicle. Soooo smooth. I keep the engine rest off.
I see about a 2.5 mpg drop in MPG on my GMC in the winter with winter blend fuel and running the transfer case in Auto 4 wheel drive. I never had a full time 4x4 get good mileage. My 1993 Land crusier when new struggled to get 12 mpg.
Dang that is great fuel mileage. I had an Ecodiesel Grand Cherokee thing had great power and fuel economy...did you have any glow plug or engine harness problems? My ED went through a few sets of glow plugs and the engine harness before they got it fixed.

Would’ve been nice to know how long your fuel mileage loop is. Also in other videos you’ve done what you referred to as a 30 second method fill up, but I haven’t heard you ever explain what you mean by that.
My Standardized "Ctech" mini loop is 17.9 miles comprised of mostly rural/highway driving. We always warm up engines/trans prior to starting. 70-72F climate control set, and Eco mode if vehicle has it. 30 second method refers to when the fill up handle clicks off after full, you wait 30 seconds then pull pump one more time and then you consider that full. TFL coined this terms several years back and everyone kind of does it now!
I considered it too. Not going to lie. $75k for a 3-4 year old 2-3 owner TRX that’s been beat made it less desirable to me. I wanted hands free driving and the new facia/interior on a brand new truck for same or less money than used TRX. If a user TRX would have been $50k I might have went that route.
I'm with you Mike. There are really good 2021 TRX's going for $60K right now here in the east coast. 30-40K miles and great carfax history. I just test drove a '25 Tradesman with the SST and it was plenty quick and had all the essentials for me at a huge discount at $40K. I just can't justify the $35K increase in the RHO.
No way am I letting my truck start and stop at each stop. Just the loss of oil each time to the bearings freaks me out. I am a Ford senior master tech driving a 2023 5.0 Tremor, 2023 F150 Whipple charged Platinum and a 2024 base Raptor. Auto start stop is disabled on ALL my vehicles, I run full synthetic boutique oil in all three trucks, and change my oil every 3.000 miles. The price of an engine is so out of hand, I plan on keeping my trucks for 10 years, oil is cheap compared to body off engine replacements....I don't want the extra wear. If I got a new truck every 6 months like a lot of TH-camrs, then I wouldn't care, but for long term truck users...a different story. The extended oil change intervals that OEMs are stating are for emission credits from the Biden admin. Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance is the way to go to get 500K out of our vehicles. Every time you start an engine, it takes a second or two for the oil system to pressurize and get oil to all the parts that need it. During that short time, parts like the crank bearings, turbo bearings, camshafts, and pistons are basically running dry without proper lubrication. Everyone knows this. Now imagine doing this to your engine 20 times every time you drive somewhere because of start-stop tech… Yeah, not great.
I was originally going to be in the market for an RHO but as soon as I seen dealers giving 10 $11,000 off of sticker at the release of the truck…… The value on these things is going to crash faster than the company behind it.
Time will tell but I don’t think this will happen. People said the same thing in 2019 when the refreshed Ram 1500 came out. At a bargain price. The next few years they took double digit market share from competitors year over year. Ram got greedy on their pricing the past few years and now they’re making adjustments on their Ram is ahead of the competition on pricing for 2025MY trucks.
@ that is not a good comparison being that it was during Covid you could sell a totaled car for more than it’s sticker price practically. At the end of the day $10k off sticker means your value drops from $10k below sticker. The raptors hold their value extremely well and have never had to give $10k off. I was a Mopar or no Car guy but the brand seems to sabotage its owners and the resale values are rough.
I bought my 23 Bronco Raptor for $15k off MSRP brand new and others were getting them for $17k off new. I got my 19 Raptor for $7k off MSRP. Raptor Resale in the past 12 months has dropped big time. 24 Raptor Rs were selling last April for 170-185k...now dealers struggle to get MSRP of $115k. The market has changed a lot in the past few years. Competition is heating up...which is good for all of us! Dealers by me are already selling brand New F150 Raptors 35 and 37 package trucks for $5k under MSRP. Unless Ford cuts back allocations on 35/37 package Raptors to dealers I fully expect to see them selling for $10-15k under MSRP this year.
I am waiting for the 2025 Trail Boss to be released this spring. The RST now has incredibly smooth highway drive-ability and wicket speed to match. RAM in a missed opportunity in this market (where tesla totally failed in the pick up truck market) has pushed back the release of the REV, so there is nothing to answer GM and Ford and that IMO was a mistake. The RHO for off-road looks intriguing but I will not buy any new piston powered vehicles as they are too costly to operate and clunky to drive. I think you have a nice truck in the RHO trim for a combustion based drive train, however today's market in 2025 there are better options for a full sized pick up truck that are coming out this year. (Hummer?)
Thanks for watching, I am very excited about the Ram REV...supposed be released in first half of this year. That will be the game changer in the truck market. I considered a Hummer but the resale is horrible, $100 fast charging just doesn't work for me. I saw some deals for leasing one...I like the Hummer SUV if you could lease one for under $600...believe it or not there are deals like this out there on them.!

The range of that charge is about 310 miles. With a 60 amp circuit that is easily completed overnight. I will assume your test trip was around 30 miles. Today's local gas price in my state is $3.11. Your fuel consumption should have been around 2.23 gallons putting the local fuel cost at $6.96 for your test trip. If you drove the EV charge range of 310 miles your cost should have been around $69.60. With our EV we have used DC fast charging a total of 6 times in the last 12 months which is less than 5% of our total usage in 2024.
One exotic car & truck youtuber cut the last resonator off of his Jeep Gladiator and it sounded way better than the Ram straight six turbo, which sounds like the mail truck with a fart can muffler. .
My 14/16 and 2020 Hemi 1500 never got better than 16 in the winter with 100% stock suspension and wheels and tires. That was for highway driving too. I loved that truck...trouble free 80k miles!
Gas mileage is garbage. My buddy is already looking to get rid of his because he pulls a heavy trailer and gets 8-9 mpg. It sounds like a sewing machine, that is not a nice rumble.

The only thing I have ever done is 2 radiators in 160k. Your truck is beautiful and I am glad you like it. I am just not sold on that motor, but we will just have to see what happens in the real world when you get some mileage under it. Keep bringing the honest reviews, I am still holding out hope.

Just to try to beat an ecoboost cause your mad you've been getting g beat by v6s in your hemis for like 10 plus years now?😂😂 at least the ecoboost pulls great gets excellent mileage when not pulling and still beats 95% of v8s out. Ford is the best overall truck, STILL!

@ ya, my 24’ raptor on 35s is getting 14.5mpg right now where my 21 37PP was getting 16-17 on rural roads. I think they’ll improve in time

Gotta be honest. I think I’d rather buy a 2 or 3 year old low mileage TRX at this point.

Had a TRX, my lifetime MPG was 9.6. I'd only recommend it if it's strictly as a toy, or you just live the idea of spending $10k a year in gas

Small price increase. A few color changes. Loss of red row hooks in rear. Some buttons removed from center stack display up top. Otherwise same truck.

Looks great inside and out. But fuel milage is dismal. I will go with the GM 3.0 diesel and get 25-30 on the highway
Not surprised. My ford 2.7 got 27 mpg at 65. 80, speed limit in Idaho- lousy 18 if lucky. Also it was blazing quick. Now they seem to be de tuned.

bummer! 8-9mpg is pretty good towing depending on trailer size. I am hoping for 8-9mpg towing! My cummins only got 9 towing our travel trailer.
