    the lesson on minute 9+(Your swing is over) which coach Han teach is very hard. I tried to do that and stop the swing right after hitting the shuttlecock, it made my forearm near elbow strained and really hurts. That's why I think I understand why the student always continue the swing. So my question is, what type of training to strengthen our forearm so we can withhold the pressure after stopping the swing?

      Just do that exact motion but slower, like only 50% of your power and slowly go up.

      I don'tthink coach Han is telling you to stop the swing, he always tell us to full swing, I assume he means you generate power with the forearm and follow through with your shoulder, you only use strength when throwing the racket. you assume he meant short swing or stick smash.

      Your elbow hurts because you are not doing the correct inner rotation of the arm to get rid of the remaining force after you swing. When you finish your swing, your elbow should face upwards. You can watch slow motion of professionals smashing.

      thanks guys for the replies..I think all your explanations are correct. Maybe if I train directly on the site, I think Coach Han will also be mad at me for not understand what he meant most of the time hahaha...

      I think your friends have helped you with enough comments.
      Basically, you need to do weight training for your forearms. In addition, sufficient swing training is required. However, there is no need to practice this movement alone.
      As your skills improve, your opponent's returns will become faster. Therefore, your preparation time will also be reduced. Ultimately, you will need shorter and faster swings.
      Slowly, in order... I hope you train slowly and in order. Good luck.

      @full-swing any tips? Surely coach Han has experienced this at least once in his badminton journey

    • @full-swing

      Think about it.
      Your joints only have a certain range of motion, and if you go beyond that, you get hurt.
      Your swing should only move up to that limit, so the swing is essentially a “back to where it belongs.” Think about this a hundred or a thousand times.

    hai. but its very unrealistic. this type of advice rings too hollow for it is so sanitized from how a normal game feels. i have a better mental exercise. imagine everything you see and hear and only those 2 are seemingly happening later, its not that they are happening later, its that you are seeing and hearing everything after lets say 1000 seconds later. how would you react. imagine this and try to play a single game in your head like this. dont try to keep track of all the things you did 1000 seconds age. try to chase the feeling of having to do things with no immediate feedback in your mental vision, and try to chase the feeling of things that you did 1000 seconds ago but have no recollection doing since you are human and most people cant remember what they said 5 secnods ago with any accuracy of the order in which thye happened or exactly 5 seconds ago not 5.1 or 4.9. as in you dont need to track the exact actions you did. try doing this exercise before bed with aiming for accuracy of 1000 seconds of delay for vision and audio but every other sense works fine. you wont be falling over since you have the sense of balance. and you can feel if the shuttle hits your racket then you feel it. mathematically if you imagined all other senses to be delayed the best representation of that in your mental exercise would be something that looks like having a seizure.
