My father's company owned Wheelbarrow Ranch early-mid 1970s, and we would drive up from San Francisco to spend long weekends there when I was a kid. It was beautiful but infested with rattlesnakes so we could not wander around freely. The caretaker was a crusty old cowboy who drove us around in the back of his pickup and gave us snake rattlers as souvenirs. Magical place and fond memories. Hopefully subsequent owners sorted out the snake problem.
