I watched ur first video was on my way to get radioactive iodine I have had Graves’ disease since I was 20 & I’m now 26 sadly I was not approved & my doctor said my only option is surgery because I’ve been on meds for to long. in the ending of 2021 I started natural journey. Fast forward to 2023 I now feel 10x better den when I was taking meds. The meds made me worse.

It's helpful to hear from people who have been through it. I had an overactive thyroid/Graves for many years. I had radioactive iodine in 2020, started taking levothyrox, and have been feeling great until recently. I now have swelling in my neck, a visible lump - perhaps a cyst like you've got? - and blood test yesterday revealed high thyroid antibodies. I meet with my endocrinologist at the end of the month. I'm perplexed as to what's going on. Enjoy your recipes. Glad you're feeling better.

Well done Sarah, I'm so glad you are feeling better. My daughter had the Iodine treatment in July, and it's taking a long time to work, but her levels seem to be coming down now. She's hopeful of success since she can repeat the treatment rather than have the surgery. It has been quite a journey so I understand where you are coming from. Enjoy life and Happy New Year to you. 💐🥳😀

I had RAI in 2011 when I was 22 years old. I was supposed to destroy my thyroid but it only did so partially. Now my thyroid levels are normal but borderline high. The only down fall for me was that I gain about 60lbs and can’t seem to get some of the weight off. What’s weird is that I never became hypo and still gained a ton of weight. I’m so happy that RAI worked for you!!! Keep us updated!!

I had radio iodine too. I went onto thyroxine very soon after that. They told me I.d be on thyroxine around 6 months after radio iodine but I felt so ill that blood tests showed I needed it far sooner. I know exactly how you felt, it’s a bit of a journey getting it all sorted and feeling much better. My eyes are much better now as well. I didn’t know till I had swollen eyes that there was such a thing as thyroid eye disease. So thyroid eye specialist for 12 months but thankfully it’s all better now. I also am coeliac and enjoy your recipes. 👍💕
