    I agree. My theory is that his role in McAnick triggered his old feelings and behaviors. He only had to think back to and reconnect with his past and he suddenly felt like his troubled teenage self again where he started to regress. Those 'demons' just got a hold of him again. I don't know much about addictions, but I feel sad thinking of all he was going through on the inside that he hid from everyone. He was such a sweet, genuine, caring and funny guy, I still miss him like crazy.

      That’s the trouble with addiction, you can overcome physical dependence and withdrawal, but the mental addiction, pain that got you there and love for the substance never go away or get any easier, so while other mental health issues do get easier with time and effort, addiction doesn’t, and it’s really heartbreaking knowing someone you love has to endure that every moment of their life, and that there’s nothing you can do at all.

    7 years without you Cory. Even though we very unfortunately lost you I hope your story helps other people struggling with addiction, no matter how many people say cruel things online about you and what you were going through it will never change my perception of you, I can't believe you've stayed in the same spot for 7 whole years and the world continues to spin without you, I really wish you were here, I wonder what you would look like now, would you have a family? What would your career be like today, what would YOU be like today? So many questions that will never be answered. I really hope you found peace and happiness for eternity, and I hope seven years later you know that the demons you tried so hard to fight cannot hurt you anymore, I miss you, our beautiful Finn Hudson, our precious Cory Monteith. 💗💗💗💗💗💗

    Conquering addiction is indeed hard. It takes a great deal of willpower and determination. Cory's death is so sudden, he was gone too soon. Addiction Kills.

    Now I have read about a lot of stars and normal people dying but his death really forced me to think. That reason was that I was part of the generation that idolized him and though by that point I had stopped watching glee I read his article about drug use and was so happy to know another life has been saved and how Cory made a future for himself fast forward more than a year news got around he has entered rehab and the first thought that came to my mind was damn they never get away do they? By they I meant drugs and how evil they were. Then 5 months or so later I read about the girl playing Quinn remembering Cory and I just knew. It's soioooo sad though kids and adults life seems hard I knw I have had fair share of problems I don't wanna disclose in public but nothing nothing at all is worth taking drugs plz plz don't take them they'll forever have a hold on u.

    • @JohnSmith-ch6pt
      @JohnSmith-ch6pt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ‘Nothing is worth taking drugs’ dangerous statement as not only do many addictions get started by prescriptions, but if someone has taken them once already this statement alienates them best case, or worst case discredits you in their eyes. Give advice on recovery, or ideally lobby for drug reform and policies that assist those with addictions. Your comment is clearly out of care but also ignorance, so think about those you’re trying to help, anyone who will actually not take drugs Because of this comment already wouldn’t, but those who already are could be helped by a more informed comment.

    Drug addictions are not demons of "bad" people.It usually are very clever people that can see the bad things around them.Not everyone of course.But really,those people are victims and it's really hard to beat the addiction:(

    How about pharmaceutical companies that make addicts out of kids with ritalin, or benzos that kill u if they r not withdrawn slowly. Alchol companies. tobacco etc. Why r u so angry & bitter? He was just a guy in an awful situation. The majority of drug takers r self medicating, due to massive personal problems & worse than abuse as a survivor & professional is not being loved as a baby & young child.moms dont even breastfeed much. So try not to feel such anger, help instead.

    Prayer works. it's just that God doesn't choose to answer the way we'd like Him to. Sometimes He chooses to heal people by delivering them from their illness, etc. by bringing them back home- even though it breaks the hearts of those left behind. I'd give almost anything to have Cory back here with us, and Lea, and I have to keep reminding myself that God sees the whole picture and His plan is perfect. I believe that, but hte pain is still there. I miss my sweet Cory. :/

    That was utterly juvenile, and equivalent to a grade schooler's "I know you are but what am I?" quips.
    Let's put your comment in perspective.
    He, exploited his childhood as a teen and as an actor, while CHOOSING to abuse drugs and alcohol. He CHOSE to try highly addictive narcotics... no one tricked him as a small child... no pushers from the projects enticed him as a little kid or claimed it would earn him "cred."
    Me? Worst I ever did was smoke a little pot.
    Also, overcame alcoholism ALONE.

      I think years and years researching about drug addicts I have to completely agree. No one told him to leave and become homeless nor leave school or try drugs. He still chose them and he died from it. I really cared for him since he is the closest thing relatable to me except I broke my habit. And found someway to break my cycle... Similar stories but I just seen the bad habits of addicts who feel the need to fuel themselves. He just seem like empty soul

  • @chokinonashes67

    u r just showing such massive ignorance about people & also addiction. People cope w/ stuff in different ways, some can deal with the worst situations & live well, others discover drink & drugs or wealth, shopping sex eating etc there r so many ways to try & avoid feeling. Why dont u blame govts who dont educate or provide treatment, the guys who never go to jail but grow rich on misery. Addicts r usually extremely sensitive creative folk who if they get clean do more good than most. TBC

    Finally, go ahead and tell me how much this addict has done for society or himself. Remember, he is dead and his body is riddled with the remnants of the DRUGS he OD'd on.
    Oh, and that whole "government (the ambiguous and vague title used by abstract morons) is to blame" claim is just asinine. It doesn't take a big brother monitored environment for anyone with half a brain, self-sufficiency, and even a mediocre conscience to know how to say "no thanks" to hardcore drugs like coke and heroin.

  • @irishrider1337
    @irishrider1337 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Of course, none of this relates to what I initially said. I said HE made the choice to go into drugs and alcohol initially. So, regardless of the trials of addiction, the affirmation of those who become clean, and the debatable success of former addicts... the very decision to fall into that spiral was HIS. He wasn't some uneducated, urban-indoctrinated, street-oppressed victim of an urban cultural repressive. He was a suburban kid who CHOSE to lash out in a DUMB way. He wasn't gifted either.
