I think the scariest part of this video is that he thought claydol was a rock type.
NOOOOOOOOOO
Also calling Blacephalon “Blassfullon” is spoookey
Its okay man, we all get confused sometimes, especially sinces theres like 1300 pokemon now. 😂@TheRogueRenegade
@@SerenaAndCo I also once thought claydol was a rock type
@Tyler-q3k 1025*
Im kinda shocked that Hatterene didnt get mentioned for Fairy type!
its Shield entry says: If you're too loud around it, you risk being torn apart by the claws on its tentacle. This Pokémon is also known as the Forest Witch.
and for the Violet entry: Beware of forests that show no signs of living creatures within. You may have wandered into Hatterene's territory.
Definitely something to be scared of...
how could anyone be scared of hatterene, just look at its face
@@khadizaanwarjolly5779 that is what it wants you to think
Meanwhile my shiny Hatterene in violet just loves to check her master is doing okay. Totally scary😅 or maybe friendship changes a Pokémon's natural behaviour.
17:25 it’s approximately 125 million grains of sand. Calculated using the weight in its bulbapiadia entry.
Weirdly enough, despite being terrified of spiders, I love garvantula. probably the lack of an unnatural amount of eyes.
And amount of leg
Yeah all of the spider Pokémon have less legs and eyes than real spiders, so it’s not surprising that people with arachnophobia can still like them.
To be fair, they're all made to "look like your friend". But yeah galvantuala is fluffy and yellow. I think it's cute! @DaSheepKiller
Same here, and Araquanid also gets a pass. It's freaking Ariados that makes me jump. . .bro haunted my childhood.
Take a shot everytime a ghost type shows up
They do be spooky though.
You'd see Arceus
Oh kayyy
I’d die
Fun fact about the clown guy, he actually does have a face, the two dots on the side of it's head
Eyes aren't a face
I love Mimikyu. It's adorable. But it's genuinely the most terrifying fairy other than Hatterene
@@njivwathomassilavwe2056 maybe grimmsnarl is also scary, maybe not scary but its kinda weird to see a pokemon made of hair (especially its gigantamax form)
I dunno, have you seen Alpha Gardevoir? I'm terrified. That's one fairy you don't want to meet in a dark alley.
Most terrifying pokemon of every type for VGC players is Tera Incineroar
Tera bug 😭
Imagine accidentally stepping on an onix or steelix. I would shit my pants
DANGER NOODLES UNITE!
Blacephelon doesn't _just_ take off its head... It also throws it at you, and it EXPLODES.
Kyurem is a terrifying menace, and is largely slept on as one of the scariest Ice Types. A Pokemon that seemingly came from space on a meteor and created a Giant Chasm. It froze and ate any that approached it. A local village created walls around their town and enforced a curfew to keep everyone safe from the beast. But that's not the end to it. Ever consider why Kyurem might be eating people and Pokemon? The answer lies in it's nature. Kyurem is the empty husk left behind when the legendary Dragon type Pokemon of Unova underwent fission. It constantly yearns to be filled, to be whole once more, by any means necessary. And being fused with either Reshiram or Zekrom, while offering some of it's former power... makes it an abomination of myth and science. It is one of few Pokemon, also, to be ordered to kill it's opponent. In the English translation in B2W2, Ghetsis orders Kyurem to freeze the player solid with Glaciate. But in the Japanese translation the of line is "Kyurem! Impale them!"
How could you not be terrified of Kyurem?
This must be why that one person used fake accounts to try and ban Kyurem from Pokemon Showdown... They knew the truth, and it traumatized them.
Have you guys read the manga? That freeze cannon panel with 500 dead is mortifying
Hatterene is also a terryfing fairy pokemon, the pokedex says:
"Beware of forests that show no signs of living creatures within. You may have wandered into Hatterene’s territory."
It is also said that this pokemon hates loud noises. Which means that Hatterene probably kills or scare off pokemons in a entire forest just so it can live there, without being disturbed by other creatures noises.
If hatterene had a third typing, it would definitely be ghost to match its creepy eyes.

20:30 Malamar is known for turning things upside-down, so if you had a Malamar in a church, welp, you and Malamar will never go through those pearly gates of heaven
Gengar's pokemon sun dex entrie:should you feel yourself attacked by a sudden chill, it is evidence of an approaching Gengar. There is no escaping it. Give up.
The over-abundance of Ghost Types in this video is insane.
Well ghosts, ghouls and spirits tend to be pretty spooky lol
As a person with hippopotomonstrosesquipidaliaphobia, I'm terrified of crabominable.
I'm so sorry you had to type that out
Common misconception. That alternate Hau-oli city was likely destroyed by the power plant that we see the ruins of exploding. The one person there alleges that something else happened, and speaks of Guzzlord with a friendly pet name. I honestly think that Guzzlord is cleaning up the irradiated rubble left behind. It doesn’t even seem very violent when you encounter it, at least not any more than any other Pokémon. Still one of the scariest Dragon Pokémon just based on its biology however, even if the one in the Ultra Ruins isn’t evil. Good video, very good.
Imagine a parent that likes pokemon pranks their kid by replacing their abadoned doll in the attic with a Banette plush.
Everytime I see a Dondozo enter the battle I have an existential crisis and pass out.
That sounds rough
so called "free thinkers" when kyurem enters the field
Hypno...
@@Auwa-racist don't worry it's never hitting hypnosis when it matters
Peacharunt is more prankster than actually scary.
I'm sorry, I can't take "forces you to eat Mochi that makes you do the Chicken Dance" seriously(cool Pokemon though, and that theme song slaps)
How dare you bring them up? 🖕🏻🔫
Definitely not scary, considering his interaction animation is to dance as though to the beat of a drum.
no mention of nihilego was criminal. I know you already had an ultra beast and jellyfish on the list but that thing is terrifying.
And what scares me about shiinotic is that it basically represents the allure of drugs and all its dangers. This thing scares the crap outta me.
I thought this was going to be the scariest competitive Pokémon of every type.
psychic and ghost would have the same answer
calyrex shadow rider
landorus therian my pookie
Incinaroar
Fluttermane my beloved
xerneas.
11:05
*I’m offended now say sorry!*
Poor marshadow
There is no Pokemon that I am afraid of!but...that thing...Kyurem... It's is my biggest and only fear...
It's because the fact that it devours humans and Pokémon and is extremely strong makes me see it as unstoppable, so if Kyurem wanted to kill me,even if I had Pokémon... there would be nothing I could do...
I think than the pokemon who mess with the mind are the most terrifying, like the lake trio, with one look can take away all your memories, emotions or free will or Nihilego a parasitic hollow being but with a uncanny human behavior
Mimikyu really out here having the death note based on the different descriptions on how each person died
Polosand has over millions of sand grains so that means millions of souls 😨
You could probably have a wicked boss fight with one that like, takes over a whole beach or something, or maybe a whole dessert!
Honestly, i would include one honorable mention: Litwick.
At first, it is one of the cutest pokemon you will ever see. I mean, look at it. Cute body, cute smile, cute sounds, small...
However, its pokedex entry simply says another story:
"While shining a light and pretending to be a guide, it leeches off the *life-force* of any who follow it."
Now, i'm not sure if this is something that Litwick does by default and can not control or if this is something that they do on purpose. One thing for sure: this is one of the last pokemon you want to be near you.
What I find hilarious is that I do have arachnophobia, yet Joltik and Galvantula are one of my favorite pokemon, however I ain't messing with Spinarak or Ariados. Also, I liked the Danny Phantom reference.
I'm trying to think a bit outside the box, and I'm also trying to avoid Pokémon that are part Ghost-type or Legendary.
Normal - Bewear (It hugs you until it snaps your neck).
Fire - Centiskorch (I don't like centipedes)
Water - Basculegion (It's a large freaking piranha...)
Grass - Trevenant (It was hard to find a scary grass type, so I had to just go for something).
Electric - Xurkitree (This guy is just freaky and weird).
Psychic - Jynx (I just don't like Jynx)
Ice - Also Jynx (To elaborate, I acknowledge that there are both Ice & Psychic types that are scarier than Jynx, I just hate Jynx, which is why it's on twice).
Dragon - Hydreigon (It's a 3-headed dragon, and according to the Pokédex, it'll attack anything in sight).
Dark - Grimmsnarl (It'll strangle you to death with it's hair).
Fairy - Hatterene (It will tear you apart with it's tentacle claws, and it can sense you from 30 miles away).
Fighting - Buzzwole (It was a bit hard to find a fighting type that was actually scary, but Buzzwole is a freak).
Flying - Tornadus (It creates winds that are stronger than Class 5 Hurricanes).
Poison - Scolipede (It's another centipede, and I don't like centipedes).
Ground - Hippowdon (Apparently it's jaw can open 7ft, meaning it could eat a fully grown man whole, also hippos are very violent).
Rock - Magcargo (This guy is 18000°F (10000°C) i.e. hotter than the surface of the sun, how is it not causing an environmental meltdown)?
Bug - Pheromosa (Similarly to Buzzwole, this is just a freak).
Steel - Mawile (There's something about it's freaky steel jaws that I don't like).
Ghost - Giratina (And this is pretty much THE scary Pokémon, after all it's the incarnation of the devil, and everything that's evil).
Dragon types, honorable mention: Cynthia's team killing Garchomp. I don't care what people say to discredit him. That Sharky Dragon Boy was made by Satan (Pronounced Suh Tan, Like from Wreck It Ralph) himself. And even he fears the battler he's created. And quite frankly, I'm glad I could never get past Barry the last time in Pearl in order to take on Cynthia, because Barry stomped me out. Cynthia would have straight up poverized me.
nah, satan didn't make that, he made calyrex shadow rider
That's literally what Jaiden says.
To make the scariest Pokémon of every type just have the type of the Pokémon your talking about and slap on a dark or ghost type onto it simple enough
When it comes to grass types I would've gone with Cacturne instead honestly especially like look at it with it's creepy smile and deadpan eyes staring at you it's kind of scary and creepy especially if you also add it's pokedex entry into it saying that they following travelers into the desert for days until the traveler can't move anymore then they attack that's terrifying.
almost 99% of Pokémon chosen here are part Ghost Types, most of the ones chosen was based on their dex entry which tbh more like a cool, cute, or goofy looking ghosts instead of scary ones
if I were to choose one:
Dragon is Giratina (I’m still traumatised by Platinum climax cutscene)
Ghost is Banette/Mega Banette (stuffed doll came alive, how is anything scarier than that)
Ground is Claydol (so many eyes)
Flying is Drifblim (dex entry aside, its face is kinda creepy too)
Bug is Caterpie/Venomoth (man, they are TOO REALISTIC)
Water is Gorebyss (it’s a deep sea water creature with weird body shape, idk what they’ll do with that mouth)
Electric is Eelektrik (Tynamo is cute, Eelektross is awesome, but the mid one is so strange yet scary)
Rock is Stakataka (so many eyes)
Grass is Paras (Legends Arceus trauma)
Dark is Cacturne (imagine being stalked by a horde of this guys in the desert)
Ice is Jynx
Normal is Porygon-Z (its glitchy movement is creepy enough)
Fire is Lampent (its eerie fire kinda spooky)
Fighting is Bewear (its pose alone is kinda scary enough, imagine being chased by this man-size bear costume then to be crushed by its hug)
Steel is Orthworm (the way the titan one buried itself in sand in the game is so scary to me)
Psychic is Hypno (most children is its victim)
Fairy is Shiinotic (just look at the eyes)
Scariest normal type....Eevee. (So cute, it's scary!!!)
badumtis!
About the Pacherunt thing.... we see it take over the entire Kitakami region in the Mochi Mayhem story/DLC epilogue... and it is both unsettling, and kinda funny when you look at the specific models and animations that go on as everyone goes full on "Mochi Mochi... Arven get's stiff as he begins his Chicken Dance and Penny goes full blown into it.
I’m Scared of Giant Ukulele’s
17:24 He's gotta be made of 666,666,666,666,666,666 sand particles
The puns and comic moments legit made this too hilarious to take seriously, lovin it!
I wish there was an arachniphobia warning before the massive screen sized spider
@@OverFeared get yourself a helmet. This world is rough
@@MrBarborosa jokes on you, I already have one :)
I wish there was a logophobia warning before the youtube comment section.
21:41 how dare you
I haven't even watched it yet, yet i already know the Drifloon line is on here
But personally, the most terrifying pokemon is Aezlf. It's said that it manipulates your willpower to turn you into a will-less servant.
i’m absolutely terrified of Muk 😭 that’s because i had a nightmare when i was rlly young where i was getting chased down by it. at the end i fell off a cliff and thought i was safe until it came down and suffocated me in its slime. i was like 9.
Contrary to popular belief, Vaporeon isn’t compatible for breeding. For starters, they're not even in the Human-Like egg group, but most Vaporeons are male anyway. Not only that, but the copypasta diluted the truth about Vaporeon's abilities, hence why I will now set the record straight. Hydration only works when it's raining, and Water Absorb, which has a darker nature that I will discuss soon, doesn't mean your Vaporeon will turn white after you "pull out." I should know because I cleaned the toilets at a sperm bank a long time ago. Aside from that, what also wasn't mentioned is that Vaporeon can control water easily, which means Vaporeon can perfectly utilize the water it can control to enter a person's orifices until they explode. Vaporeon’s biology allows it to defeat its opponent by entering any of its opponent's orifices, making its way to the lungs until the attacker succumbed to dry drowning, and then exit the lifeless body perfectly. Now here comes the disturbing truth about Water Absorb. Human bodies are 65% water, which means that if a Vaporeon was inside a human body, it could potentially absorb the water in said body until the poor human was nothing more than a dry, lifeless mummified corpse. The Vaporeon would reemerge just fine, but not the human though. Also, if a Vaporeon rematerialized while it was inside your urethra, your pecker would be sent to the Distortion World instantly. Its ability to control water also includes creating Kyogre-like tsunamis that can level cities with ease, and with moves like Scald, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Hyper Beam, and Rock Smash, Vaporeon has so many ways to end you that it should be reclassified to the "Terminator Pokémon." It can also learn Detect and Toxic too, so don't explore that deep sea cave for treasure. As for the moves that it can use to make itself more "aroused," the kicker is that the rest of Vaporeon's kin can also learn those moves too, with Leafeon, Glaceon, and Umbreon having higher defense stats that would blow Vaporeon out of the water, and Sylveon and Umbreon, aka the third most pornified Pokémon of all time, are much more popular with the NSFW crowd. Acid Armor won't even change that.
demons don`t exist in the pokemon world thank arceus
Giratina: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?!
I like Galarain Zoroarcs design
How much you wanna bet that most of these are going to be part ghost type?
Venusaur's bloodshot eyes traumatized me as a little kid from Pokemon Stadium, I hated Venusaur until lately
5:15 wow, thanks
No problem
I have Thalassophobia so i guess if i was in the middle of an ocean seeing a Sharpedo, Eelektross, Gyarados would turn me into a Ghost Type.
Yveltal is literally our version of an atomic bomb. "that's scary"
Mega Salamence. Just the idea of bonding with a Pokemon to the point it can Mega Evolve, perhaps it's been your friend for years, and it messily and gruesomely cuts you in half. It has a reputation of doing this, btw, to the point it's known as the blood-soaked crescent.
14:40 completely passed over the Ultra Moon entry where it says it uses souls as energy to keep itself afloat
Creepiest Normal Type for me is Raticate, blame Pokémon Yellow for that creep sprite.
the scary thing about Parasect is that it's based on a real phenomenon. It's based on a bug that has been infected with a parasitic fungus called cordyceps. Cordyceps are fungi that target specific bugs (there's a cordyceps for every bug) and they take over the bug's mind to find a place for it to kill the bug and release the fruiting body of the fungus.
The scariest thing about literal brainrot contagious fungus, is that some cultures eat the mind-control brain mushrooms as a delicacy. (Much like toxoplasmosis, MOST people won't be harmed by the ingesting of the parasitic entity).
There’s also the oh-so lovely detail of Banette mutilating itself in order to lay curses on people. I get that it’s basically describing how Curse works with ghost types, but the Pokedex goes out of its way to describe this as just…something Banette normally does. Does it enjoy causing pain to itself? Or does it have that little regard for its own well-being?
I'm willing to bet the mural on Runigerus is depticting the Darkest Day. It is shaped like a serpent or dragon, which could be meant to represent Eternatus. There's no way to know for sure though...
Didn't think there were any scary rocks.... I'm torn between the super powdery uranium ores or raw asbestos, which is indeed a mineral/rock!
Palosand weighs 250 kg or 250,000 g, 1 grain of sand weighs 0.00001562 g. That means that palosand has 16,005,121,638 grains of sand/souls inside it, not accounting for stones, shells, and the shovel on its head.
You forgot to talk about how Necrozma is in constant pain
heres a head canon
when its halloween ash always pulls out the mask from the first serices and go to misty's gyms and scares her until she faints to bug her and sometimes he puts bugs everywhere in the gym and the bug types enjoy it
nemiona has keys for every dormroom and breaks in your room when you say "hmm i wanna battle someone"
btw when you said the rotom one i pulled a rotom card and said looks like my bank account is going to be nothing and pls put this in the next head canons video
We have some similar takes but here some differences on some types
Grass: Carnivine, with its creepy smile and according to it’s Pokédex entry it’s got sweet smelling saliva and chomps down on what’s near swallowing it whole… while almost being 5 foot tall
Electric: Xurkitree, the way it looks and moves while having no face mixed with the possibility of being grabbed and zapped is horrifying
Psychic: Hatterene, it’s Pokédex entries combine what Hattrem’s gives you a witch who if you have strong emotions will probably kill you
Rock: Nihilego, A parasite in the shape of a jellyfish which looks creepy and we see it’s actions in Sun and Moon’s story
2:53 fun fact the yellow dots in the center of the 6 pointed stars are its eyes as can be seen here and in the card are they chnage and express different emotions
Blacephalon accually has eyes, the dots on the sides of its head
the voltorb line if every voltorb and electrob explode it would be catastrophic from how many there are
Fun fact :in the sun and moon manga blacephalon had a sideways smile
The scariest to me is Hitmonchan. Anyone ever see that hold Pokèmon animation with Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur? That poor Hitmonchan…
Normal: Snorlax, it's dex entires in hisui states that it STARVED AN ENTIRE VILLAGE
Grass: cacturne, the dex entities state that it's essentially an ambush predator!
Water: Gyarados, it can destroy anything during rampages, like a murderous dragon, and at the drop of a hat.
Fire: litwick, it drains people of their life force...
Bug: joltick, sure it's cute but it also feeds on your electricity in your body, now imagine being covered in those things
Fighting: galaitan zaptos, this thing is faster than a cheetah, now imagine being chased by one.
Flying: yveltal, it's literally death itself
Ground: pilosand, Nate I remind you that it not only absorbs it's victims, but also SHOOTS OUT THEIR BONES AS PROJECTILES
Rock: Aerodactyl, That thing is a monster of Arceus (I couldn't think of other options)
Poison: Gengar, there's a reason this guy's the staple of ghost types
Psychic: Hypno, do I need to say it?
Ghost: cofogregus, it loves to eat gold but it also TURNS PEOPLE INTO MUMMIES
Dark: darkai, this is what happens if freddy Kruger was a pokemon
Steel: agislash, the king that used this guy died after using it...
Dragon: guzzlord, Nate I remind you that this thing DEVOURED AN ENTIRE VILLAGE
Fairy: hatterne, it's dex entries in shield state that it will 'silence you forever' I think we all know what that means.
13:48 i like to think that xerneas is no better than yveltal, because he (yes, he, only male deer have antlers) can make life overabundant (like overgrown plants, zombies, immortality, basically eternal suffering, just look at az). just like xerneas can undo what yveltal did, the other way around is possible too (like undoing immortality, putting zombies back into their graves, returning plants to the way they were). but if they are both doing what they aren't meant to, that's where zygarde steps in.
You know what’s even scarier
Typhlosion
...
It’s really not. Look into the truth of the situation
there isn't a pokemon i find scary because i can just throw a funny purple ball at them and that makes them my best friend ever
I bet ghost types are gonna be tough
Banette is just a Toy Story villain.
First cutest then scariest so next is THE SEXYE- STRONGEST STRONGEST
ya obviously STRONGEST is next
i agree about the Yveltal complaint, the folks who “correct” you either don’t get that it’s just a joke for one Poketuber or are ignoant of how the anime pronounces it
Wanna know the scariest thing about Shedinja? It happens _every time_ you evolve a Nincada. Every. Single. Time. The discarded shell gets possessed. Its _consistent,_ and that's unsettling. Why? How? What about Nincada shells is so appealing to lost spirits? We may never know...
But ONLY when they evolve near a human. There's no wild shedinja. The energy given off when it evolves can lure ghosts? Sure, weirder things can happen. But it's more than that. If a trainer isn't nearby with a pokeball to haunt, that shed shell simply stays shed. In fact, it's just a helpful battle item, the Shed Shell, which is clearly graphically a Nincada shell, because in the wild, without a human nearby, their cast-off skin doesn't get inhabited.
18:48 NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLL
Luckily in all of these scenarios you are a person who at least hopefully carries a handheld capture device that at the least can give you a chance to run
Sorry to say, but you can't beat the classic that is Beedrill. No one wants to be on the other end of a toddler-sized hornet that is known for its aggression and powerful forearm sting. The LD50 of Beedrill's venom would probably far outclass that of most venomous snakes, to say nothing of the actual injury the stinger itself would cause.
Greninja surprisingly, I have Ranidaphobia. Also the greninja from the detective pikachu movie was so weird. The only frog like Pokémon I’m fine with is venusaur
There are 3858400 grains of alive sand in a Palossand!
One of the most scary once for me is....Bewear. I hate that thing and when I saw it for the first time in US my instinct told me: Fuck no! Run! 😅
Pokémon: Garchomp
Reason: Cynthia
Imagine working at Nasa trying to get some people into space, only to see Rotom appear on every screen
For water you could’ve done Gorebyss because it uses its probosces like mouth to suck to fluids from its pretty while it’s alive
Gotta be giratina. But, personally, in real life itd be all the snakes. Arbok and seviper would be terrifying. Not sure how they weren't mentioned
I’m not scared of any Pokémon.
16:56 I think Pokémon are meant to be scary just for what they do and not how they look. Like for Ground type, it could've been Whiscash.
POV: Whiscash sees something or someone it doesn't like
Whiscash: EarTHqUAkE
Me personally, I think Arceus would be the scariest normal type.
A. If it's god, most people would be intimidated by it.
B. If it's god, and going by the sheer number of people IRL with religious trauma, it would also be feared for that reason as well.
Yep banette 'child's play' in Pokemon form
5:31 missed opportunity to say "bushel"; "apples", "plants", you get it.
I didn't know people found Blacephalon scary. To me, he's just a little goober. I mean yeah it probably wants to kill you and would never be your friend, but he's still silly and will always be one of my favorite Pokémon.
Malamar was also a recurring villain in the XY and XYZ anime, where it literally wanted to reshape the world
Garchomp, Spiritomb, Milotic, Roserade, and Togekiss. If you know you know. Also Froslass, look at the dex entries for my reasoning.
Weavile is pretty scary, its hyper intelligent and hunts in packs, brutally ripping apart its prey, and usually for fun
Imagine how disrespectful it would be if you were a guy who came across a frosslass and they did not freeze you and take you away
Im suprised that beautifly got away on both bug and flying type… you wont expect a disturbing pokedex entry for such a innocent/cute looking pokemon/bug
The Pokemon I'm scared if is articuno from a horrific nightmare I had. I was like seven and I was playing my cousins leaf green game (it was in between the release of platinum and black an white the time) and I wento to catch articuno for him and it destroyed his team of like 3 flying types and I think sandslash. That night I dreamt I was in a snowy mountain, with some pokemon. Over time they slowly dissapeared and I heard their cries. I slowly made heard articunos call over and over an over again as I mad it out. It then froze me and looked at me. Idk why but it haunted me
Jellyfish don’t shock you in real life, they have venomous stings
