    All these stolen artifacts should be returned to Mexico. Another great video Beto 👍thanks.

      Thanks! Remember, the mirror was on a ship full of Aztec stuff that was attacked by French pirates. Who knows what was on that ship and where it all ended up. I'm still wondering whatever happened to the contents of the massive library in the palace of the King of Texcoco. I would do a show on it but there is no information as to where everything went.

      @@flipayyy7584 The contents of the Texcoco Library may or may not have been on that ship attached by the French (I would say, probably not). I do believe your conclusion is probably correct. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it all ended up in the Vatican.

    Excellent video. Queen Elizabeth I, along with the whole Tudor Rose period is extremely fascinating. The Master of Revels of the Tudors, literally changed the world, and John Dee, also an Ambassador to King James can't be downplayed. He was probably one of the most intelligent person of his time. Unfortunately, not in a good way. It's funny how people watch the 007 movies and have know idea that is John Dee's signature. The composer of the MI5.Ian Fleming was writing about John Dee.The Rosicrusian's where the Freemasons. All the "Rose" symbols came from this period, the Rose Garden is a node to John.

    This is all so incredible. I knew of Dee and the many roles he played but I was unaware that he got his scrying mirror quite literally from the Aztecs who used it for the same purpose. As some people have already noted Dee communicated with the royal court via magical sigils and 007 was his signature. I will leave a link below to a short clip about Dee from a lecture Terence McKenna gave called “Alchemy and the Hermetic Corpus” th-cam.com/video/EEq4E9kdq5w/w-d-xo.html .

      Thank you for the comments and thanks for posting the link. I learned a great deal myself while researching this topic. I had heard about the Aztec mirror and that took me down this path. Very interesting stuff indeed.

      I've always thought the image at 4:15 looks like Terence McKenna. Terence even played Dr. Dee in a film called the Alchemical Dream.

    I can only imagine the grandosity and splendor of the Aztec Empire if only those Spanish conquistadors would have left it alone

    • @mexicounexplained
      @mexicounexplained  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Personally, I think they would have been overthrown by the Tarascan Empire (Purepechas). They were heading for a face-off and I think the Tarascans were not as hated as the Aztecs (among other indigenous groups). They were also better organized when it came to their military. I think in 50 years, had the Spanish not arrived, the Tarascos would have captured Tenochtitlan and would have toppled the Aztec Empire. Just my opinion, though.
