Start with your title ready to go in the timeline.
Go to effect controls and select the pen tool under opacity.
Create a mask to cut your title in half. Make sure to set the mask feather to 0.
Then duplicate your title. And the duplicated title’s mask to inverted.
Now you can animate the motion position of each title layer to move away from each other like this.
Once that is ready, right click your top title layer and Nest it.
Then apply the drop shadow effect to the nested sequence.
Change the direction of the drop shadow. Set the distance to 25 and the softness to 20 and the opacity to 100.
Duplicate the drop shadow effect. Set the opacity to 40%, the distance to 50 and the softness to 400.
Lastly, animate the opcity of each shadow from % to their current numbers.
And now you have this title cut in Premiere Pro.
