The All Blacks didn’t play anywhere near their best and still beat Ireland comfortably in their own backyard. NH players/media need to stop disrespecting the All Blacks and talking like we’re some tier 2 minnows just cos we ain’t the all conquering teams of yrs past. This team is loaded with young talent and England and Ireland have got a glimpse of that the last 6 days. We lost close games to the Boks in SA people talked as if we lost by 30 both games. Will Jordan scored 35 tries in 37 games playing on the wing and he didn’t have him top 5🙃 sums up the disrespect people have shown towards the All Blacks. Ended Ireland’s 18 game win streak last yr, ended Ireland’s 19 game home winning streak this yr. You got a reminder these are still the ALL BLACKS!!!

I can't agree more. But I think the tone and disrespect around the all blacks came mostly from NZ. You guys are so great that a minor speed-bump sent you guys into full panic stations - which is understandable after decades of dominance. But IMO the rest of the world saw you guys panicking and fed off that. Anyway the AB's are still great and are only juust behind the boks rn.

Actually more indicative of poor opposition. The no.8 is good, and a few players have flair, but overall standard was poor. Try was boring...just standard stretching the defence, which was secondary school level terrible. Good to see top play imo irrelevant of who beats who, a good team pushed to their limits is what you want

nobody is writing him off, best 15 in the world in my book, 30 something tries in 30 something tests for the ABs?? yeah...
It's just the ABs haven't been the unplayable force they usually are in these last handful of years, plus both Hansen and Foster tinkered with the backs so much, having to somehow fit the likes of Beauden, Jordie, Dmac and Mounga in there for just 2 positions, before anyone realized Jordie is a beast and should play center, so he never had the jersey on lock so to speak...in fact, it is astonishing to me how he doesn't have some 70 tests under his belt already.

Honestly it validates England’s improvements and playing ability at the moment too. Saw so many Irish comments expecting a walkover saying ABs wins over England weren’t anything special, just 2 poor teams going at it. Nope lol turns out England are just as good as when they beat the Irish last time they played and were actually a far sterner challenge for NZ than the Irish. The confidence and bravado that comes out of Irish Rugby media, honestly… you’d think they were multiple time world champs.

People keep talking about - and I include the hosts and commentators in this - how Ireland were off their game. BS. The game was lost because they couldn't handle the ABs PRESSURE. The knocks ons, the penalties, the lack of rucking ability were all a direct function of not reacting to the pressure put on them by the ABs AND their own heads. (By that I mean the psychological burden they carried into the game - they just had to win because of the 19 previous wins, because of the expectations of the public, by the expectations they themselves had.
This was a game where they had lost before they even hit the paddock!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

What I don't get is NZ have fantastic depth, hence Aki, JGP and Lowe having to look elsewhere, they can swap players in and out to play different teams, how have they got to the position where they have essentially been outside the top 2 for 5 years, all the talk about rebuilding a young team, when in reality most of the players have been mainstays for years. My view I that the top 4 are pretty even now, NZ were fortunate to squeeze a couple of wins so far. I said before the games if NZ get 3 wins against the big teams, then it will have been very impressive.

What is it about 6 nations players who actually believe they are better teams than those in the South? How can they be? Northern 7:05 hemisphere teams have just 1 RWC title, lose more than they win on a regular (too regular) basis. And tier 2 nation wins do not count!.
Correctly it took Ireland 117 yrs to make a stain on the record books and Scotland? Let’s not go there. Is this a rivalry? The Ashes is a rivalry, ABs v Springboks is a rivalry. As long one of the other home nations stuffs England - no serious team gives a shit.

In the dictionary, under 'i' you'll find the word irony. Have a quick look at the definition. Ireland have been really good for the last few years. The ABs are the best team in history. The Springboks are the best team right now and might be for a long time. The Irish were confident they could do a job - that's not arrogance, it's confidence and fair enough. Plays great rugby and 2. Is consistently winning, if Ireland arw not doing that and NZ are actually building into a great team then the plaudits will follow, there is no need for the argueing and insults directed at Ireland, just enjoy the rugby and let things settle out. That would be chaos in the media. A rebuilding All Blacks team beat the #1 Irish and people downplay that it wasn't that impressive, Ireland were rusty, NZ didn't do anything impressive.... Shows the standard NZ have set for themselves.
Similar to the boks, NZ as world number 1 never lost to Argentina and Ireland in their back yard in the same year and were still praised as the best team in history...
Reality is NZ has dominated for so long people are reaching for comparisons way to early. And a rebuilding All Blacks side is on par with the greatest Irish squad ever (arguably better when it matters).

AB's WERE NOT great and they won't be happy with that performance. Ireland couldn't get their rhythm going coz the AB's didn't let them. Ireland had moments where they got some flow, but I thought the ABs have improved in terms of reading Irelands offensive structures and it showed by the pressure they were able to put on Ireland at the advantage line. The best thing going for Ireland was the pressure they put on the ruck - which I thought was borderline infringing and could've been penalised but fair play to Ireland for playing to the refs interpretation. It took the ABs a while to adjust and they needed to replace Ratima with Roygard to help bring that change but once they did it was over for Ireland. From that moment they were on the back foot, and they had nothing going for them accept for the occasional "bounce of the ball" that afforded them with some opportunities but they couldn't capitalise because of the in-game pressure from the ABs. BTW - why would anyone celebrate like they've one the game when they get a penalty?!?!?!
The lesson here for Ireland (along with all the so called rugby pundits) is don't buy into the pre match smack talk shite, OR totally buy into it and get your ass humbled. Yep Ireland had good reason to be confident but this is the AB's we're talking about. The ABs know better than anyone that history means nothing if you don't turn up on the day.

To be honest this ireland team need to gut the team of there older players as irish fan i think its time selection got more ruthless if you dont perform to 1 in world standards you should be dropped. If we want to truly win world cup need be winning most games before world cup

@@stiofain88 okay you can pray every night that NZ rugby goes bankrupt so you have a chance. Meanwhile we’ll just keep winning 85% of our games and more world cups 😂 Irish people might have the biggest loser mentality I’ve ever seen.
