    For me the Gilette Nacets are the best blades on the market. I've only encountered 1 Nacet that was uncomfortable to shave with. Personally for any blade I use, I run the edges through the rim of a styrofoam cup on time each before putting it in any razor just to get off any potential burrs or irregularities that may cause discomfort.

    It's not glue, just wax. I love the Nacet (have a large stock). Mostly get them from ebay traders based in Jordan.

    I love the Nacet very much. Its my blade of choice in my Merkur 39c Sledgehammer. Its my subjective opinion but as always YMMV.

    Excellent shave Spencer! I find the same thing as you with those blades as far as needing a couple of strokes before they smoothen out. Hope you're having a great week mate. 😊👍

    Very good review. Some other guys review blades but talk more about the soap or razor they're using.
    As for the Nacet, I love them. YMMV as always.

    Hi Spencer- Great shave and razor blade review; thank you! I agree that the second and following uses of a blade can be sharper than the first use. I find this with Kai blades, which I really like quite a bit. I hope you are feeling better quickly- take good care. All the best!

    Lol. Funny how we can see the YMMV effect again 😂 I have used Nacet blades with my Rex and they are exactly the opposite to what you describe 😬 Incredibly sharp blade and not that smooth. Almost harsh as they are so sharp. Feels a bit like Feather. I prefer much more Polsilver or Gillette Silver Blue and Gillette Platinum because they are not as sharp but smoother. Someone recommended Voskhod as being sharper than Nacet. Not in a million years! Voskhod is dull and very tuggy. But this the YMMV effect 😊

    • @Shaverboy516
      @Shaverboy516 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Turre Tuntematon I agree with you, I had the same experience as you, felt they are very sharp and not too smooth, I’ll stick with Astra.

    • @greg6162
      @greg6162 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Shaverboy516 Voshkod are tuggy for the first pass or so because of that Teflon coating… or whatever it is. However, once you get that first pass out of the way it’s the smoothest blade I have ever used in my life. It can tame the most aggressive razors. I watched a Nickshaves video about this and didn’t think much until I used them. Ymmv of course but it’s worth giving it another shot I think. I just got Nacets in and mine aren’t Russian they’re Arabic or Turkish?

    Have had good result with washing the face and lather up before I go and take a shower .The lather and steam will soften the whiskers for a couple of minutes. After the shower I lather up again as normal. Have not tried this method with pre-shave soap!

    They are good I think but not as good as their hype in my opinion. The voskhods are much better for me. Once you start getting into dome shaving you can really start to see how sharp the blades are. The nacets make for a bloody dome shave.. 😂 but sharp enough for a smooth face shave!

    • @greg6162
      @greg6162 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @the Game, Review and Reallife Channel Voshkod has to be my favorite blade I’ve tried in my 7 year shaving career. You have to do a few strokes on each side of the blade and then the Teflon smooth’s itself out and the blade becomes the most comfortable I’ve ever used.

  • @lloydlow727

    Hmmm from the looks of the blade, it might be fake Spencer. Had a pack with that same packaging and single wrap blades, had them tugging on the facial hair with every stroke.
