I do agree these have a very unusual tuning... I've been having a time of it trying to find which filter and switch settings to use... Sometimes I think the silver filters sound better and other times I think they don't have enough bass... I think the black filter with the treble switch on is pretty good... but I agree it can color the music, especially vocals at times.
@@someoneusa I'm not much of an audiophile. I had been using the Blon BL03 for over 3 years before getting these. The Bridge is a revealing set. It feels really open and fresh. Makes the BL03 sound muddy for certain songs. Vocals are its forte. The bass is tight. At my preferred volume, I didn't face the harsh sibilance that most reviewers mentioned. Can't wear it for more than 15 mins tho, the nozzle is huge and the bud itself gets uncomfy. There's also significant sound leak. There are waaay better sets at this price. Even for the price I got it, (3 IEMs for $32, the others being KZ ZEX Pro and Tangzu Wan'er), I wouldn't recommend it just because Wan'er exists. My god I love that set.
Hi Tony, I agree with you about CVJ Mei being very special. Just recently I tried the KZ Krila, very competent technically but they don't come close to the Mei as regards musicality and timbre, perhaps also for the width and three-dimensionality of the stage. If I hadn't had the Mei I would have appreciated the KZs more, probably. In the end I always come back to the Mei
Ea500 or ew200 if you want to save a bit of money for like 10% less technicals and gain a bit of low end. You can mod the ea500 with a y2/y3 damper on the nozzle vent to get the same low end as the ew200.
@@akros9333sorry for the late reply. Never get notifications from stinking TH-cam but they were on sale at Amazon. I just randomly was looking and was like well shit I have to get them for that price. Once I tip rolled and switched to the silver nozzle I got a sound that I personally liked.
You like the bridge more than quartet? Hmm interesting, maybe it’s difference of musical choice. I’m more of a rock/metal/hip hop mainly, but other genres as well. It’s not my favorite though, I like the Olinas more.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the high treble is with the normal (black) nozzles. The silver nozzle tones it down and makes it more enjoyable for longer periods of time. Bridge has a higher treble/upper mids. So it’s good for people who like treble.

These have become my everyday set. These have perfect tuning for me, and the sound is very natural imo. I was blown away the first time I heard them.
