My dear dear James, for 42 years you was my everything, you have always had my heart and I will go on loving you! Till we meet again, keep heaven full of music and the angels dancing
I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Hand but just reading the hundreds if not thousands of comments on the internet of saying how nice of a human being he was is a true testament of the impact this man has had on the world around him. I’m happy we have his deep works of art to ponder on for the rest of our lives. RIP
I learned about this "old timer " from a Google story on Charley Crockett. Never heard of either of these fellas. I certainly will be listening to more of their music.
I adore this man, his songs (almost all written by him), his style, his stage presence, his band (especially Will Indian his lead guitar), and dancing to his music.
I had one of the best nights of my life seeing James and Dale Watson live in Glasgow Scotland many years ago, a true gentleman, what i would give to see it again....Mr Hand is a true country great. James if you ever look in, please come back to Scotland.
Crazy Buck I was raised on Airline Drive as well, Hill Rd in Aldine! I try to see Mr Hand as often as I can, and buds with his lead guitar, Chris! Chickensh*t bingo on Sundays at Little Longhorn Saloon. Gotta go!🤠
Watch his last recorded performance. James Hand ”Last Ride” on TH-cam. He spoke from the grave. He would often say, “Just because you can’t see me don’t mean I’m not around”. He would also say, “You can’t fake chill bumps and child birth”. I get chill bumps when I think of you Slim. I know your still around. Love you forever Pal.
One of the greatest Honky Tonkers to ever stand behind a microphone...
Rest in peace, brother.
just found this great country singer after listening to Charley Crockett. Two great talents.

Love this man. When will he get his due credit?
he doesn't need massive fame. He has a great following - people who appreciate his art and that's enough!
