Growing up I used to question why my grandmother and mother bought salt. The only time I've ever seen them use it was to put a teaspoon inside boiling water for rice or oatmeal, or they would pour it in their bath water. Literally never used as a seasoning in my household.

This list is very close to what my Caucasian cookouts were like growing up.
A lot of that sounds good. Just give me the burgers, hot dogs and beer and that's a successful cookout as far as I'm concerned.
