Im intrested in putting together a set up just like the one you have and am fairly new with the electric gopeds but i just picked up 2 like the one in this video. I have had all the best gas ones over the years. But its time to switch and im curious what it would cost to go this route vs the 24amp hour headway or if u know about that set up.?
+Kris Adams 24 amp lifepo4 will give you less speed and range. I just build a battery for a colleague with panasonic 2900 mAh - 16 cells in line = 44.6 amps. Cost around @$1400.

Anyone know the max amp the esc and motor of this go peds takes. I just built a 7s7p li-ion battery pack. My 18650 cells are rated 2900mah and 10A discharge, max discharge for 4 seconds is 17Amp. Is the enough for this goped? I am only 145lb and need about 10mile range.

Hi Jason, I used mostly Panasonic cells which worked and still work great. When you connect in parallel 16 cells the c rating is increasing. The Goped stock is using between 10-30 amps cont. and @50-80 max. PM me through youtube and we can discuss details.
