Looks like you traded bushwhacking and more distance vs climbing the wall of death with the chains lol.

Yeah I always prefer distance to anything. Chains look cool, maybe next time.

Well done! Beautiful territory for sure. Your tent looks like the one made in Revelstoke where you use your poles to erect it. Sounds like it could be noisy in the wind tho if not tight. Great design tho. Thanks for sharing your adventure and important tips 👍🏻🇨🇦

Thank you 🙏🙂. The tent is a Duston Gear. Yes it's not the quiet tent in high winds. But it's really light.
      Thanks for your comment 🙂

Nice exploration. That's useful information for this area, since the GDT route might one day evolve away from the walking the Elk Lakes FSR. Staying looks beautiful but difficult.

The trail from Cat Creek is much easier except the vertical wall that needs to be climbed with the chains. I'm sure you've been up there multiple times before Dan.

Yeah there's probably a way that can make a nice route.

@@IdRatherBeHiking I'm trying to figure out how the GDT could connect from Fording River Pass up to Elk Lakes without the 35 km road walk on the Elk River FSR. It's an option to take the Coral Pass alternate on the west side of the road but it has some rough spots. It would be cool if a hiker could continue up the divide from Fording River Pass to Carnarvon Lake and beyond, but it's complicated terrain. What's the trail out Cat Creek? Do you mean Carnarvon Creek?

Thank you. It's really appreciated. Thanks for the subscribe. I have already shot 4 more films: Lofoten (Norway), tour du mont blanc (France, Switzerland, Italy), west Highland way & affric kintail way (Scotland).
You're from new York, maybe we're gonna see eachother in the Adirondacks.

Les paysages sont incroyables ! L'eau s'évacue bien des souliers à force de passer dans les rivières ?

Merci. Oui 100%. C'est pour ça que je prioriser des souliers qui ne sont pas waterproof, ça sèche plus vite
