- The fastest campaign win in a Total War game ever, and the first ever sub 2 minute Total War campaign? Let me know if it isn't. I'm really curious.
I was always interested in speedrunning Total War, but Rome 2 made me eject from the franchise for years. I worked on Red Alert 2 speedruns instead and those were glorious. Going back and speedrunning Total War after the success I had with Command and Conquer in 2015/2016 was tempting, but Total War was indefinitely shelved for me at that point. With the triumph of 3K allowing my return to Total War and some competing times and solid routing already done by others, this was finally on the cards and I was always going to do it eventually. Very hard difficulty up next (probably would be as Julii), or alternatively, a Shogun 2 speedrun.
NOTE to fellow runners: spy is buffed (0:17) to remove (as much as possible) the open gatehouse RNG at the very end, on which the run entirely depends. Doesn't affect the run otherwise. Timed from 0:12.44 to 2:04.20

Rome didn't get built in a day... but it did get destroyed in a minute.
By that big sigh at the end, it seems like you had a personal challenge to not breathe until the campaign was won
holding my breath for 2 minutes is easy, so i could complete rome total war on one breath hold.
thought i should start 2020 with a bang. your face when its faster for me to unlock all the factions by winning the game than by finding descr_strat and pasting the factions over.
what should i do next? a very hard campaign? a long campaign? a shogun 2 speedrun? let me know what you would like to see and itll help me decide what to work on. in the meantime, ive made a really in-depth tutorial/guide for this speedrun. was getting some requests and didnt want to waste the opportunity while its all still fresh in my mind. i might make it public eventually but for now ive opened it up just to my patrons. some behind the scenes as well as important insights that really helped me pull this off.. and to even just get rome total war running well enough to play.
P.S. like and comment to help me with the algorithm so i dont suffer as much from preserving my integrity by not cucking myself to play the youtube game with clickbait and other such cringe. muchas gracias amigos.

I would say whatever games you had in mind that were interesting for you to play. I typically like to watch strategy games and see what creative/challenging things you can achieve. Any interesting TW series you can think of is cool with me, but honestly I'm open to anything I just like good/fun/interesting content
@@regicide_enjoyer as far as im to understand, hes quickly attacking the roman cities so he can acrue as much gold as possible, and then going to the various neutral city states and bribing the settlements to join his gaulic empire. This ensures for the quickest rapid expansion and allows for what is an effective blitz on the map. I believe he sends his diplomats far to spain and in russia in the hopes of just building truces? Maybe non aggression pacts? Idk, but thats the jist.

I hail from Italia, but even as a proud Roman citizen how can I not put a like to this outstanding enterprise?
I looked this up to try to unlock all the factions quickly but it turns out just doing a short Brutii campaign was faster because my dumbass can't decipher this video.
1-siege everything just after starting. Build siege equipment to make the AI cheese it.
2-"Exterminate populace" every time.
3-use your new found piles of money from genociding rome for bribes.
4-There is no 4. You already won.

As for your plans; both Rome 1 and Shogun 2 are VERY welcome starts, i'd suggest picking the one you would enjoy most at this time. Would love some original playthrough, something you haven't tried yet, or noone did even.

I found this in your world record speedrun playlist, but I can't find it on speedrun. com. Easiest BS call i've ever made.
for most of a year, this was the fastest win in RTW, but it was achieved by an RNG modification that can be easily concealed (this video is a showcase of that fact, in addition to a clean run), which was why i never submitted it officially. im a moderator on speedrun.com for the C&C section, by the way.

Now try to break legends records of conquering whole map in empire total war I 3 turns, or medieval 2 in 14 I think...
anyone can conquer the whole map in any total war game in turn 1 with exploits. it doesnt require any skill or micro ability. its just an exercise in patience/tedium.
@@Volound well this also don't require any skill, just thinking what you wanna achieve and then planning and trying and easiest difficulty to help you win autoresolved battles
Try on very hard and those battles would be crushing defeats on autoresolve as only romans, egypt and britons can win autoresolve in this game

On easiest difficulty you can conquer whole map in I don't know maybe hour and a half its not challenge at all...
But its challenge if you look number of turns(on very hard), I was looking for video on fastest world conquest in rtw and this pooped up...

nobody cares about the very hard category. it isnt competitive at all.
@@Volound i understand what your saying. I didn't say it in sense of competition. Very Hard settings just makes the game harder, and generally less predictable.
That is all. I would actually like to see this player do a speedrun on that, I think it would be just as cool as this video.

well speedrun difficulty doesnt really get affected in the same way. some games are way easier to speedrun on the hardest difficulties.
