Apple tea: cut an apple into chunks, add a cinnamon stick or two, cloves and let it boil until apple looks a bit mushy ( I usually use a fork and press the apple so the flavor really comes out) and finally drain the deliciousness and oh my goodness so sweet from the natural sugar from the apple, this a must for fall and winter !!!

I love boiling anise seeds with cumin seeds, I will also add caraway and fennel seeds too. The anise is the most important though, for some reason it's so comforting when I am feeling aches and pains. So warm and soothing. I also like a different drink that's a little bit more cultural to the Middle East. It's a mix of cinnamon sticks and powdered cinnamon with a couple knobs of fresh ginger boiled and sweetened and served with crushed walnuts on top. Soooo amazing. I love it!

I love love love drinking tea! Right now i love this combo (all ingredients are dry):
peppermint leafeс, linden blossom, thyme leafes, centaury leafes, tutsan leafes, common balm leafes. I put all ingredients in a tea pot and add 1 litre boiling water.
Then i wait for at least 6-7 minutes and strain the tea in 4 or 5 mugs. I add honey and lemon juice in each mug.
    I hope you try it!

I use fresh turmeric in my morning juice along with lemon, ginger, apples, mint, parsley, celery, one habanero and cucumber. It's called "lemon ginger blast". Juice it all up and drink it. Great for any inflammation in the body as well as a detox. My ma has arthritic hands and knees, within a few days she was cut down on the medicine and she can now move a lot better. I got the recipe from Lou Corona the holistic health educator. That man is amazing.

I do indeed liek this very very much!
My favorite, imported from india, Is Ginger+Lime+Honey.
Cut the ginger (I take of the skin), put it in a cup, squeeze half a lime on it, pour boiling water, and stir in some honey.
All the amounts are found by your own taste, I jsut always use half a lime, because it easy, and keeping one thing permament and the others variable, gets me something a bit different every time :3!
    Love this video to bits!

Chopped and dried dandelion and nettle, slice of lemon, slice of orange and some zest, licorice root and some honey or brown sugar. Don't boil it because heat can kill nutrition - just leave it in the sun for a couple of hours. in a clear glass container. Stunning drink.

lovely, i normally make lemon, honey, turmeric and ginger for helping with throat infections...i never thought of using orange before, love that idea and love the thyme for low calorie calcium. Jamie i saw one of your videos more then 8 years ago where you made roast potatoes with orange peel and rosemary on them and i make them every year for christmas and other meals so lovely and makes the whole house smell like christmas, its actually the reason i got a rosemary plant in the garden so i could have fresh rosemary for the christmas dinner. another tea i like that i make fresh is chamomile and mint.

Thank you so much Jamie! With this cold weather (Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico) I always want a warm drink and coffee or chocolate some times is too much. I love Mexican punch with hibiscus flower, cinnamon, pears, apples, sugar cane, a fruit called tejocote, orange or tangerine but takes too much time to make it. We usually made tons of it. Yours is great for a little treat in the after noon. Big hugs. Ily

When I make iced tea, I add Gynostemma and crushed Nettle seeds to the black tea blend I use for iced tea, it adds possible nephroprotective qualities(kind of like how your turmeric also can) and general homeostatic properties without changing the flavor much at all.
Serve with a slice of lemon once you sweeten your batch.
I reduce the sugar content by using Pyure Stevia Sweetener or Sweetleaf Stevia Sweetener..
I'm not TRYING to promote brand names, but they work THAT GOOD..

OK I know this isn't a tea recipe, but it's still a great way to benefit from turmeric. The combination of black pepper, fat and heat makes sure that I get the most out of the curcumin in the turmeric.

Well my hot drink of choice is always a soy chai latte.
    Preferably with homemade spice syrup.
For the syrup I firstly roast up an assortment of spices(cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom, a few pepper corns, star anis etc).
Then add a few tablespoons of sugar to the dry pot and wait for it for start melting and caramelising.
When the sugar is just slightly brown/golden, I add water and boil it up again for a few minutes.
Afterwards strain, put in a glass bottle and use a sip whenever you need it. (the spices can even be reused, just add some fruit juice or wine in it to make a winter-y punch or mulled wine).
When making the chai I heat up some soy milk, add brown rock sugar(I think that's what it's called, it's my preferred way to sweeten teas), add a black tea bag(I even use chai tea bags for a double spice kick, but even earl grey works).
Add water to fill the mugs(I usually do 1/3-1/2 soy milk and then fill it up with water).
Lastly add a sip of the syrup and enjoy.
Nothing warms me up better than this.

Just came across this video. Interestingly, I was looking for a tea that would reduce inflammation (arthritic, joint, back, etc.) and found that turmeric and ginger is great for that. This is what I made: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1/2 teaspoon each of ground turmeric and grated fresh ginger. A sprinkle of cinnamon to taste (or any other spice of choice, e.g. star anise) and simmer for 10 minutes. Add honey to taste...just a bit will do. It is so delicious and the house smells great too! AND no pain! Better than any pill pain reliever.

+heghineh Tumeric is really easy to find in powder form, just a tad harder to track in its root form! Get some of the powdered stuff its great flavour and health!

I love to make my own herbal teas. Fav combo is some ginger, 2-3 orange slices, 2 cardamom pods, a bit of a cinnamon stick and a little honey to sweeten it up. So warming, so comforting and soooo yummy =)

Whenever I get ill I do an organic peppermint or green teabag in a pint glass with the juice of a lemon, tablespoon of good honey, half a thumb of thinly sliced ginger and a good glug of rum. 2 of them and I sleep well and feel way better! 👍

Got a quarter pint of juice out of a pomegranate last night made up to a pint with water instead of squash following one of your videos recently, guess that with orange and cinnamon bit of ginger might be quite refreshing.

My mom drinks ginger tea, she boils a little ginger root and just drinks it like that, it's so bitter, but she says she can cure herself of the common flu with it. Bet it would taste better with some lemon and honey.

The fun thing about food. There is no limit to finding out what you can do with it. Also you can use pine needles if you dont have oranges or lemons around.
