Just to remind you guys. When you discussed the Warrington game and the inevitable their year scenario, they actually played a team called Leigh Leopards which made the remarkable achievement of getting into the top 6 After only 1 win in the first 9 matches. But of course; you can’t sacrifice valuable Wire airtime.
Here's a sign of change at Warrington. They've been rightly criticised in the past for not developing their own talent or bringing young players through. Now the Scholarship season has ended, Leeds have had a brilliant season, winning 7 out of 8 games. Our only defeat was not to one of the other clubs with an outstanding reputation for young talent, such as Saints, but to Warrington. That's a welcome shift at that level, even though 8 out of 8 for us would have been great.
With his surname, Oli Leyland must have some Lancashire ancestry to rely on. I always thought that Danny Brough - just about the Yorkshireist name you could think of - playing for Scotland, while Danny McGuire played for -Ire..- I mean England sounded daft. James Bell playing for Scotland is OK. His dad is Scots, not his second cousin twice removed and there's no more Scots name than Bell.
How many turned over from Huddersfield v Saints to watch London v Leeds instead? Leeds were so bad in the first half that I was tempted to do the reverse. Uninspiring as Saints have been recently, they surely couldn't be as dire as Leeds? But I stayed with the win we didn't deserve. London are certainly a better watch than Hudds.
thanks for keeping the rugby chat alive if you did sound like you was under water at start glad you got the mic issues sorted
