On a more serious note, here are some insights from a wind archer main: -Down + Howling Gale makes the tornado like 3 times as wide and deal more than double the damage. (as stated by half of the comments xD) -For mobbing I mainly use jump->flashjump->spiraling vortex to use your mobility better while mobbing. -Touch of Wind used to be a buff before it was turned into a passive, which means they already addressed an issue with the amount of buffs and thought it was solved like this XD. -Three pets with pet buff make it significantly easier to play, Although dying in a boss without buff freezers is really debilitating. -For 5th Job, Phalanx Charge and Guided Arrow are outstanding summons/buffs for both mobbing and bossing since they can trigger trifling wind on each hit, making your reach and dpm a lot better. -5th Job has more buffs for you that are arguably mandatory if you want to be successful: Empress Cygnus's Blessing and Vicious Shot, and any amount of Decent Skills (Mainly HS). -Gale Barrier is one of the best utility skills like you said. You tank 1-hit-kills, take less damage and do additional damage with its attacks. I have such a love/hate relationship with this class. I love to hate it, but i hate to not play it. Wind Archer is life, and life sucks.

i personally used storm of heaven to farm most of the time to 170. The number of arrows you spawn with it is enough to kill the mobs on the platforms around or/above you. You can also basically tap fire with it while moving, which is cool trick
Blaze Wizard next :D As a WA main, Trifling Wind is too good to not use when training. I stopped using Spiralling Vortex once I started getting boost nodes for Fairy Spiral and Song of Heaven (main mobbing skills for me). Spiralling Vortex doesn't proc Trifling Wind, nor does Sentient Arrow sadly. As someone else has mentioned, Phalanx Charge will proc Trifling Wind too for extra hits :) If you time your jump when launching Vortex Sphere, you can sometimes get the orb to hit multiple platform mobs Holding down while activating Howling Gale will create a giant tornado with pretty good vertical coverage. Combine the above two with Song of Heaven and you'll see arrows everywhere xD
You missed out on the best part of Howling Gale, when you have 2 charges you can hold down and then use it. It uses up two stacks but a full map tornado comes out that does a lot of damage. Also with decent skills you get like, 10 or 13 buffs. When I die on my Wind Archer during a boss fight I spend around am inute just buffing up to get back into the fight : ^)
Love my WA even got her to 5th, but he's right the buffs are too much. I pretty much retired her because I wasn't willing to spend NX to get buff saves. Literally so many buffs when a boss debuffs you by the time you are fully buffed again you are dead or they already recast debuff.... It's such a waste, the class is SO FUN and beautiful and you feel special being one of the only WAs around but... once you hit end game the buff struggle isnt worth it.
Been waiting for this, my main...i got like 11 buff. You can summon bigass tornado by pressing down+skill, need 2 charge tho. And the 5th shield can tank almost all boss 1 hit ko.
Actually if your maplestory has black bean boss at gold beach, you can go there for potions :o ive been farming it at MSEA and it gives good mesos too :”D
The best part about coming back to maple, is enjoying all your vids again. Been a sub for years, and you've truly got me hooked on it again, for better or worse. I love this leveling to 200 series a lot, it has been very enjoyable to me.

I main this class. at fifth job you just throw out tornados and vortex and let the passive arrows do everything while jumping and looting it’s a relaxing class to play unlike Mercedes always having to string skills together but I main both
I used to like buffing on old Evan because I thought it looked cool. There were 8 buffs (without hyper): 1. Magic Guard 2. Elemental Reset 3. Magic Booster 4. Magic Resistance 5. Onyx Shroud 6. Maple Warrior 7. Blessing of the Onyx 8. Magic Shield I must've really loved buffing if I remembered the names! Thankfully Evan got reworked, I hate buffing now.
I'm leveling one up (only to 140 though. Once I get most / all classes there i may push some to 200/210) and it's so annoying to me that the UFO skill in third job is not only barely if at all better than the 2nd job skills for mobbing, but it doesn't trigger the arrows! How come my "archer" has been whacking things with his bow and summoning magic UFOs instead of shooting arrows!!!!!!?????!??

In certain maps 200+ it’s viable to train with I still use it in forest of earth because I can just stay in the middles, shoot and every now and then pop tornado.

I was #1 for quite some time but after some time "WhiteKnight" passed me. Which one of you two guys was WhiteKnight, you or Marcel? I don't remember my character's name. I was too late when the servers merged so everything was lost.
nice vid!, this made me want to play my wind archer again. sadly i forgot my PIC and cant reset it for what ever reason. i tried the obvious things, different browser. trying to make a new character (afther ressetting hoping the correct menu would pop up) . i even tried resetting it through the nexon launcher. does anyone have another good idea?

I used to main wind archer and I personally used song of heaven to train all you have to do is tap fire it and you can move around freely

That purple bell passive skill used to be a buff. At lv 220, I had 10-12 buffs.

A tip for your tornado skill: Wait until you have 2 charges then hold DOWN and press the skill key, you'll summon one 2x as big, its a great map clear

If you dont attack balrog , you gget kicked out, there is an invisible treshold damage that you need to do in order to fight him.
